No matter how many times I watch this, I always end up tearing up. I just find it amazing how the author introduced us a charismatic character and literally made us love him in less than two hours, much that we ended up feeling sad he died, idk it's just so amazing to me how likable and lovable Renguko was to gain all of our hearts in such a short amount of time, it's really good writing there.

Keep in mine that Rengoku didn't receive proper training from his father. When his mother died, his father became depressed and stopped training him, so he had to rely on the flame breathing books to further his skills. If his father hadn't lost his self, Rengoku might have lasted longer, maybe even survived long enough for the sun to come up.

Even though he didn't have any bruises and his sword wasn't red, he dealt a huge blow to the UPPER THREE by himself. This is on another level.
And it's not a wasted death. Absolutely not. He provided emotional support not only to Tanjiro and the others, but also to everyone in Hashira, and guided them to growth.
He is not weak, he is a very strong person who will support us even after he leaves.

He didn't get any mark appear either like the others did in S3. So he was fighting completely stock. If he had gotten his Hashira mark, or whatever it's called, he would have won the fight without question.
@@Hydraclone Even with mark Kyojurou never could defeat Akaza without sun and bunch of luck. If Rengoku had Hashira mark Akaza will never go against him so easy and underestimate him like he did this time. Top Three Kizukis are super OP so even 3 hashiras with marks are not enought to have certain victory. I dont know if you read manga, but in final arc you will find that Rengoku even with mark will be in disadvantage, because Akaza is nature enemy for peoples like him. Rengoku did great job, but he never could defeat Akaza solo.

Everyone glances over the fact that Akaza quite literally said “There’ve been no flames amongst all the HASHIRA I’ve killed.” Like, even reading the manga I got chills.
Akaza would 've killed Rengoku ancestors then there would be no flame blood line meaning Rengoku isn't taking birth.

I mean, up to this point it's already been established that there's many Hashira from branched forms of breathing. Like Love Breathing, so I'd imagine Akaza hasn't fought a great many types of Hashira out there. Then there's cases like Inosuke where he made his own breathing technique

Rengoku was the first character that I liked and admired and yes I was already amazed but it hurt when the writer had to stop his struggles, to be honest I was disappointed but his enthusiasm will always accompany Tanjiro 🔥

Honestly, Rengoku is the best Hashira. In design and personality. A bit underwhelming he was the first to go
after that fight, I decided to Name my 3rd son in honor of Rengoku. The last character that moved me like this was Jiraiya from Naruto and that will be the name of my 2nd son. I really didn't think it was possible for me to be inspired by a character even close to Jiraiya. But Rengoku came close, so close that it deserved that I honor it by naming a son after him...

That is warming l'y delightful and sad at the same time because she is going to be so heartbroken later ( 1:41:48 ) like all of our reactions, if not externally tearing up, at least internally (I did cry my eyes out though as well)😢 .. and I watched other reaction videos for entertainment district and swordsmith village and everytime Rengokus image is flash in between scenes,, she always crys or becomes depressed momentarily.. I do think that if Rengoku is still alive.. all the ladies will be lining up for him. Well written character and unexpectedly philosophical, especially his speech about in rough terms"Things are beautiful not because they last and the death gives life meaning, death is never the opposite of life but an essential constant part of it" He is the embodiment of what means to be human (besides Tanjiro) and why living forever is not ideal because you will eventually lose your humanity because you will take everything for granted and disregard all living life.

Akaza is a very likeable and relatable character. If you've read the manga, his backstop is one of the saddest in the genre.

It's such a shame that the story introduced us to Rengoku fully here, just to write him off. I know why he needed to die, a sort of "holy crap even Rengoku couldn't defeat a Top 3" for everyone else to make a point of how strong the Upper ranks are, but man...I would've preferred seeing Rengoku in the final arc.
Ikr, I would've loved to see Rengoku in the final arc. But at the same time since he's gone, it really hits harder when you see how many other peoples' lives he's made a positive impact on including other Hashira. We've already seen how he's not only had a major impact on Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu. But also a couple of the Hashira as well especially since one of them was literally trained by him and their own breathing style was derived from his. He may be gone, but his legacy lives on thru everyone else
like he unlocking his own mark and fighting back again with akaza in infinity castle arc...they can make him lose his one hand and one eye , just suffering from coma for years , waking up after muzan invasion to the ubayashikki mansion. akaza deciding to join him to help them defeat douma and kokushiboo ..there are son may way story can happen .. right.

Yeah I'd love to see him survive too, but I don't think it's a waste of his character. He's purposely designed to be a source of strength and motivation for Tanjiro. We learned his story, his goals and motivations, and we continue to see his impact on the other characters all the way to the final arc. For a story that is character-driven, I think that's one of the highest honors you can grant a character

The more the battle prolong, Akaza's “battle spirit” will just read out the attack patterns of Rengoku as well as seeing the muscle movements, so it is scripted for Rengoku to die. Akaza is a strong character, his abilities, his “fighting spirit” and personality, all gives him an advantage over Rengoku. Plus, this is also Rengoku's first upper moon, he has no idea what he is up against.
Adding the rengoku OST remix was a nice touch.

It's crazy that Akaza and Kokushibo isn't completely defeated, Akaza could regenerate his head and obliterate Tan and Giyuu but he didn't. Koku was regenerating his head and his body but he got distracted by his looks and his past with Yoriichi so when he realized what he has become, he simply gave up and gave up his will to keep fighting

こんなに喜び、悲しみ、感動的なアニメを観れる日本人で有ることに感謝と誇りに思う事が出来て嬉しいですが、まだまだ世界は悲しみが多すぎて、子供達が家庭のテレビで笑える世界になって欲しいです、そして強さは優しさの中から生まれる事を信じて欲しい、だって母親の中から産まれてくるのだからね。
