I have tried so many ways to make carne asada and none have tasted very good. I will try your recipe and I KNOW it will be great because of the extras you put in! (W sauce- I butcher it too!) and lemon. Thank you!
I do not get wowed by many places that sell carne asada. When I used to work the taco cart at events, those owners took pride in their recipes. If I have time, I love the wet marinade recipe. It comes out great every time. I hope you enjoy both recipes.
Looks fantastic Kirby! Skirt or flap definitely is the way to go and I like the lemon pepper in the spice mix, nice idea. Salsa verde definitely rocks and easy to make. Have a great weekend brother!
Thank you Brian, I hope you give it a go. Its a nice recipe and doesn't take long to put together. That seasoning that I show in this video goes great on anything honestly. I would keep a bottle of that around if you want to try it on something else. Have a great weekend my friend, be safe.
Tacos looked fantastic kirby. Video was awesome. I did a street taco and elote Video awhile ago and my daughter's boyfriend (mexican) said if I keep makin food like this I'm gonna turn into a Mexican. That made me feel very good. Keep up the great work brother.
Just focus on the flavors and ingredients I use Ron, you will be one in no time lol. Thanks brotha, this is my bi-weekly Friday dinners. A couple of beers in front of the grill, then to enjoy some delicious tacos. Its GUUD brotha. Thank you Ron, have a wonderful weekend and be safe my friend.
Hey Kirby this is next on my list for sure. I found some skirt steak and I just made some guacamole salsa verde. Yours looked awesome brother. I will save this spice mix recipe for sure. Stay safe and be well my friend

Kirby My Man! I’ve made your wet marinade Carne Asada and we enjoyed it very much! I definitely will try this on using my fathers day present GrillGrate(makes killer steaks)! Thank you for your videos and recipes! Stay Well Stay Safe Eat Goooooood!
First off... OUTSTANDING!!!!!! Second off.... when can I come over to your house for dinner LOL. I wish I could put my food out there like you do. Jealous in a good way. Thanks!
one thing i like about making homemade rubs or seasonings or liquids is that you can control the sodium/salt in the dishes. but that is my opinion. yes i know people would tell me i dont know what i am talking about. again it is "my opinion"
I completely agree, some stuff I try is really salty. I have cut down on my sodium preference, I used to over season. Now that I cook for people, I had to watch how they like the food. I had to learn over the years to cut it down. I had become a fan of Cajun seasoning "beazelle's", they discontinued and I tried to find a replacement. Slap yo mama's is too salty for me. But for the most part, I make most of my seasonings at home. Thank you James, I hope all is well brotha. Have a great weekend and stay safe.
@@CookingwithKirby yea i have to cut back my sodium intake also that is why i like making my own spices since things started to taste salty to me too. and you are most welcome and i hope you and your family stay safe also
You just made my favorite steak Chef! How you didn't eat the whole thing sliced off the cutting board is beyond me! That seasoning rocked bud!! What a delicious video!! Hope all is well Kirby....take care bro!

Another great video Kirby! Thanks. I've been using El Mexicano for years. Really good stuff. Especially on your eggs and hashbrowns in the morning.
Great job Kirbs! Tacos looked fantastic brother. 👍
Thanks Joe, this one is one of my go to recipes. I basically make it every weekend lol. A nice prize at the end of a long week of work.
Arrachera is a good cut of beef and all you need is salt and pepper over mesquite keep it simple, too much spice takes away from the good beef taste.
Good stuff

What sugar would you put in and how much? How much cayenne?
Sugar none, and about 2 tsp of cayenne if you can't find the other chili powders.

Get some barbecue tongs they are longer
