You are a HUGE asset to us all! Thank You for all that You do! If I had a Mustang, I wouldn't hesitate to send it to You from Connecticut. Love this channel.
Thank you for what you do with these videos being new to the foxbody community you are my main source of info. I'm currently restoring a 91 notch and plan on doing everything myself with the help of your videos of course.
Unfortunately I don't drive my car much (I ride a ZX14R during summer in Michigan) but watching his channel makes me want to get the little things repaired to factory specs. Great info
ha! aw shux , i literally took out my quarter Windows today I struggled a bit with a hidden bolt if I had seen your video you would have guided me through this before I even started another great video Bud, thank you!
Bro you’re videos are never boring it’s great content and you have a great way of explaining what it is your doing at the moment keep them coming can’t wait to see you paint the car are you doing a two tone on this one I don’t think I’ve ever seen one with that color in two tone
I want to refinish my rear quarter trim on the window. Thought about taping it all off so I wouldn't have to mess around with removing the glass. I might just remove them now. Thanks for sharing this 👍
Your a true O.G. in the fox body world like most of us thanks for taking the time to show people that dont know how to work on these mustangs..also u give me motivation to work on my 93.. and also keeping it real (no coyote or ls swap crap) #thepeoplesfox
Helpful video I should be owning my first hatchback foxbody soon 😊I'm excited to learn as much as ii can on the car and ii have to strong passion for Mustangs since age 11 & 12 ii had an 2000 and 2003 body style before But never owned nor had a 1986 87 88 or 89 body style I like the Lx as well but more into the gt square box body style
I know I'm 3years behind but that is good instructional video on them Quarter windows. I don't know if i'll ever remove mine but good to know how to do it. Thanks. Now the question is , Where to get the butil to replace the old and keep water from getting in. ?
My quarter window is leaking and my rubber on the window has dry rotted, and when I pull it back a little and i see factory hole looks like. Should I just buy the molding or will I need a new glass? Thanks for your help!
Oh wow I didn’t know that! I was close to ordering it. But is normal to see those factory hole? I think that’s what they are, they’re perfectly cut out just about. Looks like a screw hole or something. I put some sealer to see what it does and it came through the inside of the window. Just weird seeing those hole on the outside, I’m hoping it’s factory lol. Anyway thanks for everything! Greatly appreciated.
Heya Brew, is it possible for a video on how to door the locks on these cars? I have no clue how to attach the piece from the cylinder to the rest of the lock assembly in the door
I had to do mine recently and found its the same as the ford truck. Search for ford lock cylinder and you should have it. that's the video I used, but its simple 1 minute. You need a rag, a needle nose vice grip, and 2 minutes. Pull the clip from the side of the door with the vice grip. that holds the lock to the door. You can then push it out from the outside or inside the clip hole. Its connected to a long rod. Protect your paint with the rag and use the vice grips to hold onto the rod from outside the door after you fish out the assembly. Disconnect it from the plastic clip connected to the lock, and replace and reconnect to the replacement. Insert in and replace the clip. The replacement clips might be tight and the plastic o-ring goes on the outside of the door. If you loose the rod, pull the door panel off and you can see it easy, nothing to confuse it with. The mechs are door specific. There's a video out there for the hatch too.
@@VacFink gotcha thank you my dad was doing it and dropped that bar out of the assembly and the lock so it's been a pain in the ass since but thank you that helps a lot
@@burnyotiers Yeah. If you don't know its easy to drop it. Then its door panel off and fish it up into place. Then you can use the grips to hold it up while you attach the bar to the new lock.
Hi how are you I want to know how much Butyal you put on a quarter window in the back ..do you just put it along the raised area...or inside the window or do you have to put some around each nut and bolt before you put it on
Hoping you take some time to cover how to remove the butal from the window and body, as well as an option to restore the pocked marked edge. BTW. If you want a good small portable light for video. Check out the Neewer Dimmable 176 LED Video Light. Its has a battery and you can mount it on any camera stand or gorilla pod and put it anywhere while your shooting. Its about he size of a paperback book and I've hung them from clamps on a gorilla or go-pro mount, magnets, and cheap 10 dollar stands.
I have question that’s totally off topic, but do you know of any tricks to get the center cap off of a pony wheel, without scratching the paint or damaging the center cap, I have brand new wheels and caps and the caps are super tight
Sounds like a plan, I was gonna try a popsicle stick but I’m still waiting for the ice cream man to drive by my house, thanks for the idea, I think it will work
@@BREW2LFOXBODY its a real pain to not be reminded to to turn off headlights and it kills the battery. My other car is a 2018 with all the new fancy stuff like a key you leave in your pocket snd auto off headlights, etc. When you get in the Fox its like a damn time machine. But I love them!
Oh definitely, I’ve done it before too. But I figure it’s best to tell people to take the extra step because those tabs get brittle sometimes and can snap off.

Thanks for all of the information you share. I have an 89 AscMclaren and watching your videos have gotten me started on upgrading/repairing it.

Great vid bro..I always wondered how hard or easy they would be to remove. Very informative and useful. Thanks bro keep it coming 👍✌🇺🇸

Great tips for sure! I don't even have a notch/hatch but still here watching :D. Need some good tips and tricks like this for the verts
I have found leaving a few nuts on the last few threads helps from dropping it on the ground.
Good tip 👌
I bought an Arizona rescue 89 fox for my son to restore. Going to follow you for help

The molding doesn’t seal it up. You’ll have to remove the window and re seal it.

I’ll try to include that! I’ll definitely look into the light as well. Thank you
You can also use a heat gun to help release the butle from the body

206dave You can wrap the end of a flathead with the fuzzy side of some Velcro, it works pretty good.
Thanks for the tips and advice! On my quarter panel glass my MUSTANG logo is a little dirty. Is there a way to clean it?
Don’t think there is anyway to clean it. They usually stain on the inside of the glass.
@@BREW2LFOXBODY That's fine. It looks good from far, but up close is when the specks of dust show.
What do you use for a sealant when replacing it?
I wonder how much money this man has helped others save.
How about a video showing how to fix the door chime? I heard about guys fixing it with fishing line.
I’ll research it 👍

I think its one of the parts that slide through the cracks. I haven't found any made in aftermarket.
Dude..... you’re the Bob Ross of 1/4 glass!!! Just need the fro..🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂🎨
Great video!!! I read all the comments no one commented on these nuts!!😂🤣👍
😂😂😂😂
Is it pretty much the same on a coupe? PS after my video today everyone has been telling me to watch your channel. LOL
Pretty much the same, just a little tighter back there. Also make sure you put a nut on that shifter stop so it doesn’t move on you again. 👌
So the 9mm socket isn't useless after all
Finally a use for it! Until you drop it behind the body panels 🤬🤣🤣
When I removed my windows I didnt remove the window trim. No problem with it still in

@@BREW2LFOXBODY Thats a good point. I didnt think of that. Keep up the good work with the quality content. I watch every video and give them a like
Is that front bumper from LMR or is it original?
Not sure honestly, my new bumper is from LMR. I’m still trying to get to that footage though.
I have to do this soon how hard is it to swap on new rubber on to the old windows?
Wonder what it would like with the 4 eye bumper with the kit?
I thought about that...🤔🤔
It would for sure be different may possibly look pretty good
Thanks 4 the tips 👍🏽
Love the content

Is it possible to put 87 quarter windows in a 79 ?
