Some good tips. I would like to add my 2c: -Always check the mark allocation on questions. If you have a 6 mark question, you can't just give 2 facts, usually it means that you must elaborate, even if the question doesn't specifically asks you to elaborate. -Dr Andy mentioned this one, but i would go even further to say that when marking your paper, do an "error analysis". Check what you got wrong, this usually will point out which part of the topic you don't quite understand, you can then go back to the textbook or watch a video on youtube on that particular topic/sub topic. You then don't need to waste time on studying the entire topic again -Don't cram and do these papers last minute! Space repetition is so important, your brain needs time to process the information.
So many people need to see this video! I am a victim to this because i used to basically cram a past paper and get confused when i write my real exam because i have the memo in my memory but i would be unable to answer the question . Thank you so much for this . Will definitely use your tips for my physics exam !
I remember asking a top student in our grade how she studies, all she said was "I watch videos and do past papers." I tried all that but still low marks, and finally someone is breaking it down for me. Thanks dr Andy 😭❤
When doing the videos, you need to pause in between and absorb the information. Think about the information. Why is this relevant? Why should I care? How does this relate to other topics or relate to the real world, or to other subjects even. Active learning is KEY. If you're just passively watching a video, you're not making the most of your study time. You can even do a q&a after the videos to test yourself.
Your timing Doc? INSANEEE. I was honestly overwhelmed by all the work load and kept wondering if doing all these past papers would be worth it. I think it will definitely be less overwhelming if i follow what you have said. Thank you sooo muchhhhhhhh!!!!!🥺
Hi doctor I was a top student in high school and now I am failing in university please give me tips to get back to being a top student I've been following you since grade 10 and u helped me improve my marks before so I am hoping for the same please help😢😂
@@BecomingDrAndy not really I'm likely to get 80% but now I know it tht I have to redo the question paper again till I finally get it right Thanks eyy🤗❤️❤️
I remember on your last video you said to study hard and prioritize studying,so how many hours did you sleep during your g11 and matric cause you cant put more time on studying and on sleep🤔
I would like to know if you got 7 distinctions throughout the year or it was the final exam only, after the combination of the work done throughout the year and a complete balance of your subject and also share how balance major and compulsory subjects towards trial and final exam.
Thank you Dokotela ❤can you maybe do a video where you explain how to study and remember for like content heavy subjects e.g. business , economics , history etc. it would be much appreciated cause I'm struggling with these kinds of subjects especially business where you should know like word for word .

I study hard n do question papers but still don't get the kind of marks tht i wanted😢 6:34
Do you get 100% on past papers? The mark you get when doing past papers is a reflection of the marks you are most likely to get for exams
