- Pretty simple installation for this APR carbon fiber intake. Just to avoid confusion, we did not record when we connected the small vacuum line from the factory air box to the new intake. The fitting for the small vacuum line is on the underside of the APR intake tube directly after the filter. With that out of the way, we hope you enjoy the video and we hope it helps anyone out there installing this intake themselves!

Great video, very helpful. I had this I’m my 2017 AllTrack and am putting it on my ‘21 GTI. Looks like I won’t need the longer coolant hose from APR to route the hose underneath the intake? Thanks.

Is this the "good" APR intake? I heard there is an APR intake that is inferior to the OEM intake+K&N filter combo

That inake looks a bit dodgy, surely that sucks dirt right onto the air filter as there are no bends or drops before the filter??
Yeah I was confused about the rubber grommet on the bottom being so loose. I love how this intake looks but honestly thinking about swapping it out...

@@AlexSisu swapping the filter on it is an extreme pain in the ass. The screws are placed radially along the side and reaching them with a normal screwdriver is nearly impossible lol.
what happened to the vaccume line though, is it just free hanging now?
eirenmann true, what does happen to the vacuum line? Does it plug into the plastic tap under the piping after the cone?
Aureliano Barrios this intake sucks dude.. only covers half of the front of the car.. theirs way better options out there

@@stevebbkny2394 what are the better options? I saw racing line has an intake that sucks from two areas. Maybe a better option.
@@mhaas281 a integrated engineering has the best air intake as it covers whole front, but intake will only do so much for it. btw mine is same as the video shown.
