They all gave me somewhere to start and work with. I have serious C2-C6 issues. Is this the reason for my forearms seemingly very tight and loss of wrist range of motion? I use to have tremendous range.

Could possibly be why you are dealing with some loss of range of motion due to neural tension of the upper extremity from cervical radiculopathy! Definitely give these exercises a try, and this would be a great program for you! theprehabguys.com/neck-mid-back-program/

How long does it take for my numbness in my hands to be relived. It’s about a month. I had x-rays and Monday I will have a MRI of my neck. Xray said I have bone spurs and degenerative disks. Can exercise help me, or do I need to have an operation. Thanks for your thoughts.

Really great question! We recommend trying conservative methods first because as mentioned in the video, most people are able to recover from neck pain with conservative methods. I would definitely recommend looking into our neck and mid-back program! I deal with occasional neck pain myself resulting in radicular symptoms down my arms and this program has been key for me and my recovery! theprehabguys.com/program-neck-mid-back-rehab/

How did you get rid of this cervical radiculopathy issue?

I just went to doctor yesterday and got prednisone. This is new to me. It’s been bothering me for almost 3 weeks. I’m active and play golf and work as mail carrier. Should I not do these while it hurts? When I turn to left and look up, the pain shoots badly down my left arm. I would imagine this is bad. Making a double chin does as well.

Hello sir, I have been started working out for a year, all body weight home workouts...like push ups, pull ups, squats and lunges... like after 2 months I feeling pain in my left scapular area, I thought it might be due to over use.. when I rest for couple of days it will be gone and when started working out it will be there...the pain is not at all severe, it is just like pinching, and I clearly observed that my right scapula is firmly attached to the body while left is not.. I usually sleep on my back always(savasana pose) then I feel some discomfort in my left scapula.... Some times If I stretch my head to my right I feel this electric shock in my left scapula....if I do pull ups after 2 reps I feel pain and if pushed to do more reps the right side taking more action.... Pls could give me any advice to fix this....thank you.
My arms are lean I want build muscle but this is stopping me☹️
(I didn't have any accidental injuries or sports related injuries till now).

If we work remotely from home and are sitting for most of the day, could an inflatable cervical collar help provide support and eventually un-pinch the nerve?
I installed an extra shelf on my desk so my monitors are at eye-level now, but I understand it might take some time to feel complete relief from pain and numbness down my arm.
    Thanks again!

Hi. I have herniated disks in my c5-c6, and c6-c7. I got it about 4 weeks ago. Pain got much better, but sometimes comes back. I feel in my my lat, tricep and foreman and some tingling in my fingers. The one thing that did not come back yet, is strength. The chest and triceps do not engage property. Any idea how long that usually takes to resolve?

On the topic of muscle strength to return, it depends. 3 to 6 months for many, however it can take up to a year or more for some. The extent of your disc herniation and rehab program along with your age and overall health will have a lot to do with your recovery. It took me a year to rehab my L5/S1 disc herniation.
In the first week of this past September, while bench pressing, I herniated C6/C7. A couple days after I began to feel the pain and discomfort as you described. My right side was significantly weaker than my left. It was very scary. I immediately stopped weightlifting when I noticed the muscle weakness in the right side and got on a anti-inflammatory one-week steroid pack. That helped a great deal with the pain, however not the weakness and tingling in my thumb.
I am now entering week 8 since the injury (2 months). This was my first week back in the gym. I am at about 70% muscle strength before the injury. Still experiencing on and off tingling in my thumb. Muscle atrophy is not noticeable to others however I can see a slight difference in my right and left side. Look into the Saunders Cervical Traction Device. This has helped me tremendously. Take caution to the advice you see on UA-cam, especially the stretches. Many of these will only make the condition worse. Let me know if you have any other questions.

@@7THxSIGN You are the man! I really appreciate your feedback.
I am exactly 3 months now after my disk herniation, and I rarely feel the pain now. Tingling is also gone. However, the muscle atrophy and the weakness stay. I improved my muscle strength a little but still 40% of my best.
Muscle atrophy improved slightly and stopped improving as of 1.5 months ago. Same story for the strength. Any idea if muscle atrophy is permanent? Or does it take time?
My osteopath decompressed my herniation about 1.5 months ago as well. I do not think that disk is pushing against the nerve root now.
I would argue that my herniation was severe.
In regard to my health and status before, I was very fit and I am currently 33 years old.
I look forward to your reply

    • @7THxSIGN
      @7THxSIGN Рік тому +2

@@crazyfuunypeep you are on the right track brother. Keep it up. The muscle weakness and atrophy can take anywhere from 6 to 12 months to fully recover. Going to the gym and lifting will definitely help speed the recovery. Youu want to get those muscles and nerves firing again. Just do not do anything that will make your pain worse or caused the injury to come back. Practice good daily spine hygiene and be aware of the position you are putting your neck in. The fact that you are no longer in pain is a great sign. I believe you will make a full recovery just be patient.

I fractured my c6 mountain biking on July 1st. I'm back to full sports now but have issues with my left arm if I put my neck in the flexion with a bit of strain (The fracture occurred with an over the bar's motion neck tucked axial load) . I am going to give this a go. I only actually noticed it recently. I've been avoiding placing my neck into flexion motion. I suspect that hasn't helped matters. At any rate, appreciate the video posting. I am going to give these exercises a try.

Hi Guys. I have had tingling in my left arm only, (little, second & middle fingers), for about 2 years and I always thought that it was a trapped nerve in my neck. Recently, the thumb and index fingers only in left hand have been tingling.
Also I have lost arm strength I my left shoulder/triceps area and I cannot do a full push-up. Could this also be nerve related?

    • @ThePrehabGuys
