Great information should have done this ti my TDI's would have helped out lots and put less work on the injection pump to draw fuel from the tank as I run a twin tank system with used veg oil in the main tank.I can see the new unit has a side tube which must be to allow excess fuel to return into the tank so the lift pump doesnt put too much pressure on pipes especially a I run a non return system just loop fuel back into the injection pump. Thanks for the effort to make video.
I've heard this is a really good mod , my car has the cold start issue , but I believe it has to do with the ecu sensor temp wire , but still believe this lift pump is a good idea . I have a random question u may know how to answer, u did a flash remap videos back then , i want to pull my map from the ecu , i dont have a battery charger , i winder if it is possibe to pull the file out with the engine running ? I'm always learning something with your videos , keep up the good job 👍
Definitely can’t do it with the engine running! It will brick the ecu. You might be able to do it if you have another vehicle hooked up like you are jumping it and that should keep the voltage steady. But do at your own risk.
@prestofixit to my understanding, ALH with the VE injection pumps do not use lift pumps, they use fuel senders. So you are replacing your fuel sender with a lift pump correct? Is there supposed to be an advantage to this? Thanks
Has it hit 400k yet?
I just hit 399450 today! Should crack 400k next month!
It hit 400k!
@@prestofixit3518 ooh!! Let me see! That’s so exciting!

Thank you for the reply! Do you still have your Jetta?
Just ran mine to power off the trunk light and ran the signal wire to the pump doesn't look pretty but worked and definitely noticed a difference

@@prestofixit3518 okay thank you for letting me know and i will wait until i have a proper place to do it with a home battery charger, thank you

The fuel sender is the sensor for the gauge. He added a lift pump, that comes with a new sender integrated in the pump assembly aswel.
Do I need to empty my tank before doing this? My tank is full but one guy said it would overflow if I don't bring it down to 1/4 tank first.
@@NeuroPulse not too sure. I think anything under half a tank would be fine.
