I have a mild cerebral palsy and grew up in the 70s listening to Keith Emerson and remember wishing I didn't have it because my left hand doesn't have the motor skills like the average person. This synthesizer is prefect for me I can turn the nobs with my left hand and use my right hand for the keys. The sounds help me with my depression and epilepsy just like Keith Emersons music did for me. Thanks for the great video!
Same here, similar story but i have Haemophilia and over time my joints have gotten worse and worse making it harder to play properly, synths like this would mean i could play again and as you say, escape the depression that these conditions ultimately push us into.... I'm also a victim of the contaminated blood scandal which has done its part in destroying my mental health over the years so yeah, music really is my only escape sometimes. Maybe one day I'll win the lottery and be able to afford a Polybrute, it's my dream synth.....as it stands most of my money goes into raising my kids so it makes it nearly impossible to save for one. I hope yours brings you many hours of joy though man, would be awesome to hear you play.
What I like about BoBeats is that there is nothing extraordinary, he does what most of us do which gives us a more faithful idea of what the instruments would be like in our hands.
Had mine for a few months now and I have to say it's the most 'musical' synth I've ever played ... the sounds it can make are so organic, warm and rich, the modulation and sound manipultion posibilities are huge and it has a lovely keybed. Add these things together and you get a real musical instrument rather than a sound playback device. You really have to try one to realise just how much of a future classic this synth is going to be ... great review btw ... I really like the way you've split the review into one video for features and functions and then one full on sounds only run through ... it's what we always need!
@esemceX It's all down to personal taste I guess but for me it's perfect for a synth, if I want a heavier feel I use my fully weighted stage piano. The only aspect of it I would criticise is the aftertouch is less controlable than on my Prophet 12, which definitely has more sensitivity in the aftertouch. But for general synth duties I find the keybed on the Polybrute is spot on.
It's beautifully lush. The only thing I worry about with the sound of this synth is that it seems like it's ALL lush. Even the down and dirty tones sound lush. Does it have a MASTER LUSH OFF switch?
The video was really nice to have playing in the background while I was working. In my opinion demos like this allow me to really appreciate the instrument - and your playing, because I'm not "over" listening, I'm just feeling it.
I'm not a big fan of arturias sounding devices normally. Their controllers are amazing however. But this time this is really impressive in every sense: price, sound, control, firmware, fx, software vst. Happy for them.
BoBeats I had never really loved the Arturia stuff, the mono brutes, and the initial UA-cam demo from Arturia on this one was just ok for me... then I found the demo clips on the website, then yours and loopop’s videos. Wow indeed. IMO it has its own character with the Steiner Parker filter, and the resonance is incredible, but then it even does poly moog... better than the moog one, to my ears. Preordered a few days ago, not sure when to expect it to ship in the US. Get to that Maschine + deep review btw! ;)
@@BoBeats It is in the league of DSI for sure now! Makes choosing my next poly much harder! Now the prophet 6, ob6, peak/summit and this are all contenders. I've got the Prophet 10 rev 4, tone wise it's no competition imo (Prophet sounds much better but obviously has less features). I also don't get on with 6 voice synths anymore... sold my P6, OB-6, JX-3P etc... I got the Prophet 10 and Prologue 16 and enough poly to do the job properly, they both sound better than what I sold.
Excellent demo, thank you. Your reviews and demos of equipment are always entertaining and informative, most importantly you showcase the kit brilliantly, most reviewers just talk at you, you don't. You just sold me a PolyBrute!

These sounds are amazing, and this instrument is visually beautiful. I think I'm in love. And yes, I watched to the end. You have a great day also, Bo.
One would need another instrument based bi-timbral or more polyphony needs; something sadly this product does not deliver for the price point. It may not be obvious, but several competitors in this space have set the bar for a poly to a minimum of 8 and even 16 voices. Some in this price range have even reached the summit of 16 voices and bi-timbral capabilities. A mophie and pitch bend wheel are not hard to come by these days.
Thanks for posting!! Always love your videos! Got this on order. I thought I had everything out there and this just sounds amazing and have to own one. It actually stands up to my Moog One 16V. The Polybrute is truly unique, sounds fantastic, flexible, looks good (IMO). Congrats Arturia!
If you're looking for a mono bass/lead companion then I recommend the MiniBrute 2s, if paired with the Polybrute they'll look and sound great together.
I think the MiniBrute 2S is their best synthesizer, it has the most intuitive sequencer on the market, it's just overlooked because most people make the mistake of getting the keyboard version instead.

I thought the same thing. It sounds amazing from the demos that I've heard and Bo does a great job showing what it can do in this one
Bo must have seen my comment rant back on the Facebook groups lol. Jk. If I were sitting on one of these, I'd be doing the same. Just hit record and go ham. And that's exactly what we are seeing. Way to go on this demo BO! Outstanding sound. I am sold!
Listened to the end ;) This thing sounds fantastic! Arturia drops the mic. 6 voices...well my OB has six and NO complaints there. Love the morphee, morphing A/B knob, ribbon, and freaking 61 keys!! So tired of all of these 49's. This came out of nowhere, and is a contender. Looking at the Super 6, or the Summit, or Sequential's upcoming synth. After that..I'm done! The Polybrute is truly unique, sounds fantastic, flexible, looks good (IMO). Congrats Arturia!
Always nice to hear just sound, thx Bo
🙏❤️🕊🍀🌍
Amazing, thanks for this good work. This sound demo is really useful 🙏🙏🙏
Very great content to the the end!
I watched till the end mate, keep up the great work
Watched it to the end! Love it man!
Made it to the end. Personally I like synth sounds more than just reviews.
Same
Watched it all the way to the end. Thanks Bo.
Per your request, I watched to the end! Sounds great!
Thanks for this perfect demo, it sounds great! The pads are lovely. #ToTheEnd ;-)
Made it to the end and loved every minute. Thanks.
I watched it to the end and it was great, thank you!
So excited to see another video on this!
Doing the usual Mono stuff,....Bass , Leads, etc....how do you compare it with the MatrixBrute ?
i need to test more... so far matrix feels way more aggressive to me
@@BoBeats Yeah...from the demos , sounds "Smoother" at least in Poly mode. Doesn't it have a Mono/ Unison mode as usual ?
If you're looking for a mono bass/lead companion then I recommend the MiniBrute 2s, if paired with the Polybrute they'll look and sound great together.
Listening to this video just encourages me to do more sound Layering /morhing of patches
Do it!!
Great sounds! Could you perhaps make a video of creating a patch from scratch on the Polybrute?
It sounds far better than most of the competition, and also better than other synths from Arturia. Good job!
I think the MiniBrute 2S is their best synthesizer, it has the most intuitive sequencer on the market, it's just overlooked because most people make the mistake of getting the keyboard version instead.
Thank you! I’ve watched till the end
