It feels like I'm sitting at a private concert with a selected audience 👍 Thank you for sharing.
I've been a subscriber to this channel a long time. I've seen the many stages and faces of Benn through the years, and have gained countless tokens of knowledge and inspiration. This hits different, in a way that feels larger than us as humans with interests in gear, or music. Existentially resonant, I'd surmise. This is your best work on youtube to date, without a thought. Congrats, and thanks Bessie Benn.
Benn, that opening piece is genuinely one of the most moving bits of music I've heard in awhile. There's thunder right now where I am and it's the perfect accompaniment.
I found myself in the blade runner universe right at 5:30. The whole piece is pure art. Benn, you are a gift to us. Your music triggers emotions at so many levels. Thank you.
I love how this video isn't ONLY about the Polybrute 12, but the 6, and pianos, and your talent on the keys itself. The focus on many instruments, the focus on all sorts of scenery and visualization of sounds, it all comes together into a wonderful presentation of sound and visual beauty. Thanks, Benn.
Beautiful music and photography. This is the sort of electronic music "demo" I can show my friends and family who know nothing about gear yet appreciate art.
I literally just found your channel a half hour ago from the Aphex video, clicked this and isntantly got chills all over my body. You're already an insparation to me. I hope someday my music can invoke the same reaction I just had in someone else. Please keep creating.
Mine just arrived; can't wait to play. Hey Benn; you're one of my favorite guys in the music creator space on UA-cam. Your Solar 42 review was instrumental in me buying it. Cheers. And yes - I may need to grab that Muse next; I miss my Moog.
Honestly - I love your journalistic content, but this was an unexpected total delight. I feel more compelled to make music now, and honestly this is better marketing for a hardware synth then I could have expected (I can't buy one now - can't afford one yet). You didn't need to talk about its features. You didn't need to justify the price point, or talk about the creators. You showed what it could do. And best of all, it felt achievable. Thanks for making this. A fantastic way to start my week proper. Keep doing what you're doing - it's beautiful :)
Coming back to this a second time. It's really engrossing and well-made. Too many emotions to nail down a distinct feel other than perhaps melancholia, which I really appreciated the first time through (and this time as well). But that's my default mood I guess, and I bring it to interpretations as much as it's actually there. This time I also noted a detached, I dunno... anthropological sorta hopefulness in mood? It peeked out here and there. A "this is how things are; imagine how they COULD be" sorta vibe. That loop at 12:40 is wonderful and it's perma-lodged in m'noggin now. It's the kinda thing I'll recall out of nowhere in 5 or 10 years. Hopefully this'll still be around and I'll find my way back for another go. Thanks for making our world more interesting!🙂
It's been a long time since I've started a video or song and ended up taking my hands off the mouse and keyboard and just listening, not a single other thought, until it finished. I was expecting you to talk about it, but at some point I forgot. It's really difficult for me to find moments like that. Thank you.

I'm going to get some slack for this but I firmly stand behind the opinion (as someone who swears by the subseq 37) that all polyphonic moog synths are extremely overpriced and virtually pointless when put beside something like a polybrute
I love this, just losing yourself in the soundscapes of a really great instrument. Back in the mid 70s there used to be this late Sunday night radio show that was all about the (then) new synthesizer technologies and it was two hours of pretty much this video. I loved it and listened to it for years.
I was trying to come up with a witty comment about cicadas but it wouldn’t do justice to this beautiful piece of art. Bravo, sir. The sequenced piano and the contrast of the pads and dirty bass at 8:30 are ethereal.
I remember your video about they OG Polybrute and how much you loved it and then I got to play it the first time in a music store. It was love on the first sight. Time just vanished and somehow 2h went by until I got back up and had to leave because the store was closing. Later that year I got one myself and it is my favorite instrument to this day. Earlier this year I got try the Polybrute 12 at Superbooth and they somehow manged to do it again. Sat down to play and time just became a blur. I hope I'll be able to add one to my studio eventually. This video and music brings up the same lovely feelings as when I sit down and play with mine.
Well, we can think the Polybrute 12 as a kinda CS-80 2 point 0, so, it maybe leads you to such mood. When Ben will get a big black beard and eat only moussaka we'll be sure 😁
It feels like UA-cam might have just taken a step forward for our side of things... A rare treat to have a performance that is so specifically suited to this platform, being its own thing entirely. Well done mate. Cant wait to be home and back at my synth, I want to make something n o w.
UA-cam would be a much more enjoyable place with this combination of music and moving pictures less the human voice. Tip of my cap for the talent you have and time put in to provide a much needed break from the noise.
Yes and no. A talented musician can make even the worst instrument sound great. So from an information standpoint this video has 0 information. It's a great sounding and looking demo for sure, but it says nothing about the experience with the instrument. How much post processing was done? How was the patching experience? What are the limitations with this instrument? What workflow was used? There's nothing wrong with a great sounding and looking demo but when it comes to informing a purchase they are basically useless.
If you have not seen it already you should definitely check out his original Polybrute video, it made me look at my own gen 1, and all of my gear for that matter, with even more appreciation.
