The dum drum bass sound; it sounds exactly like the patch i set yesterday on my Yamaha CS30, it made me smile to think that after all the time between these two synths the sound was still unmistakably Yamaha!
Hi Yamaha Team. I wish I had not bought the first Montage model and waited till this second Montage model came out. Because I must say it’s a hugh upgrade and much easier to use. Greatings Jacob.
Poly Aftertouch in the M6 and M7 would have made this series perfect IMO, as it should be more of a synth feature than a piano feature, but I'll see if I can save up for the M8 by the time the next series comes out! 😅
Why no Poly-Aftertouch on 61 & 76 models? That's a silly decision Yamaha, after waiting these many years. Why literally made it a big deal for 88? Many of us prefer 76 keys. Please don't say things such as without GEX Hammer Action, you can't have Poly-AT. Please learn from the "Waldorf - Iridium Synthesizer", it has a synth action keybed and still got Polyphonic-AfterTouch. The keys are already shorter on the M6 & M7 and Montage 7 & 6 and now no Poly-AT. Total disappointment Yamaha. We cant get the M7 and M6 to use their full potential...... Such a shame.
Could always buy a Hydrasynth Deluxe and M6 for a little more. Gaining you poly AT and another 16 voice synth. Crazy they didn’t add Poly AT to the 7 though
Maybe they think they can sell more 88key versions that way?...kind of a lame strategy if it was true. But then again, in the demos of the 88key version i don't find the poly at thát much of a deal-maker/breaker to me, sound wise its not thát obvious, for what i heard in the demo's of the m8x...its a of a bit overhyped function in my opinion...(got the m6 instead, more compact design, and not needing a forklift to get it up the stairs 😅)
@@TheEdwin73 It's a flop keyboard compared to the original Montage, they had 7 years to bring significant improvements on the instrument but they didn't. Sooooo super great to hear of the announcement of the new Yamaha Genos 2 which will be introduced to the World on November 15th 2023. The agonising wait is finally over. Yamaha is great ti surprise all those that could waiter such pro products that would literally be flagships

@@X22GJP They could probably extend the model range to include PolyAT on smaller models if there will be demand for that (add “x” models). And it seems strange because you rarely need Poly AT on “grand piano” type of keybed (remember Ensoniq TS10/12 - the smaller one had Poly AT, while the larger one one did not).
I wonder what the physical dimensions of the Montage M8X will be? It would probably be too big and long to fit on my keyboard shelf under my music desk.
Sampled organ, same rotary as YC. Trigger point is a physical thing. Either lowerer trigger point to make it fit for more types of keyboard/synth sounds or high for organ. It will always be a compromise. I wouldn't go for high trigger point here, where it has so many other sounds than organ, but I understand your point. Best
