    Airsoft manufacturers have been trying to replicate the real steel counterparts for many years and it is incredibly difficult with pistols these days. We accepted the challenge and believe that our newest replica stands out from the crowd as the most realistic replica to date, not taking into account shell ejection.
    Introducing the RWA Nighthawk Custom GRP CO2 GBB Steel Pistol and it’s a beast. Not all replicas are perfect as it does a flaw here and there but they’re rather insignificant when it comes to the bigger picture which is this thing kicks like a stallion! Just have a look at Tim’s review and see what you think.

    So let me get this straight.
    People with real guns want them to be lighter, and apeople with airsoft want them to be heavier.

    • @aaron4820
      @aaron4820 9 років тому +371

      No... people with airsoft want them to be as close to real guns as possible..

    • @GooglyEyedJoe
      @GooglyEyedJoe 9 років тому +166

      A lot of people with real guns criticise airsoft guns for being too costly compared to real firearms "I could buy a AK for that money" etc but they fail to realise airsoft guns have to fire BBs, not bullets and at the same time have to be legal for non-firearm nations so I'm not even sure why a person with real guns is moaning about airsoft when they can go play with their real guns at a firing range if they want to.

    • @sorcererlc
      @sorcererlc 9 років тому +37

      GooglyEyed Joe That is because a firing range does not provide (usually) intelligent targets that actually move, shoot back and (again, usually) adapt to your actions.

    • @aaron4820
      @aaron4820 9 років тому +36

      GooglyEyed Joe The only reason I can see why real steel people get annoyed is when they search for a gun they wanna check out, they keep stumbling onto airsoft videos instead, I guess over time that just makes them hate airsoft as a whole, but plenty of people do both, they are completely different things, someone with a civilian pilot license can still enjoy flying RC helicopters..

    • @GooglyEyedJoe
      @GooglyEyedJoe 9 років тому +22

      Cristian Toma You'd want someone to shoot back real bullets at you? o_O And Aaron I know what you mean but I've seen some comments on airsoft reviews going "I hate you airsofters, get the real thing" and I think to myself when I see comments like that "Why are you on an airsoft review video taking the time to comment?" it's like going onto a gay website if you're straight and going "I hate you gay people, be straight" why are they on the gay site in the first place? If they don't wanna see airsofting they should use their brains and realise the video has the word 'Replica' and 'Airsoft' in the name and also the channel is called 'RedWolf Airsoft' but unfortunately people don't use their brains on the internet alot xD

    When I saw the recoil and accuracy I felt my heart leap in excitement. I rushed over to the website to check the price, then my heart shattered into a million pieces... Over one thousand dollars for this beautiful gun... I wanted it so badly, but there is no way I can ever afford a price that high, especially for an air soft gun. Love at first sight was crushed by reality...

      the recoil on airsoft guns and real guns are caused by different things wich makes it feel a slight bit different. on a real gun it's gas pressure and an explosion. in airsoft it's just a slide moving backwards.

      For an airsoft pistol, that's ridiculous and it really makes you think how much recoil it must have. Plus most "hard kicking" GBB pistols, though they kick, do not kick as hard as this one. SO it's kind of a surprise, almost fun really because it's like shooting a very close replica o the same thing. Plus I do believe he has shot real steel weapons before.

    For whoever's still on this video 5 years later, I bought this gun way back and it's still going strong, one recent upgrade that makes this gun even more relevant is that this is compatible with the Volante Stratos blowback unit. It allows this gun to function with green gas, being able to clear a mag without any sluggishness, which is highly recommended for the days you just cannot be bothered with CO2 but still want decent kick (I'd say the kick with the Volante unit is about 60-70% of the CO2 version, which is pretty good given how hard that kicks).

    I always see a lot of people, commenting on the price of Airsoft weapons versus their reel steel counterparts. In some country's (like mine) it is forbidden to possess a real weapon. So yes, 1.000$ is a very steep price, but you do get a beautiful pistol for that. And you can actually use it in a skirm without killing anybody, since it is not real. On the other hand...I do think there are other, better priced full metal pistols that offer great value and gameplay. But this would be a nice collecters item.

    I like the part when people try to compare this to a real steel. Just c'mon thats a completely different world. Airsoft is ment to play with your friends, and also great for trainig purposes. I had the chance to try one of these and I can tell in the airsoft world this is an outstanding piece, even if I compare it to a highly upgraded TM pistol. The recoil is like my friend's m87 beretta so it is pretty realistic compared to other airsoft gbb's I had. Absolutely worth its price if someone can afford it.

    • @CanI...
      @CanI... 3 роки тому

      Airsoft guns should be going that direction...not only is more realistic looking but is also more realistic in performance. Most airsoft games have way more shots than a similar situation would have in real life when you actually care about how much ammo you have left.

    • @KBoon
      @KBoon 2 роки тому +1

      @@CanI... While I would really really want more shell ejecting airsoft guns, I don't see how they could make cheap shells that both hold the gas and the BB's. On a heavy steel slide airsoft like this Nighthawk and a single stack mag, I don't see how it could have a large enough gas tank and still have room for shells if those don't hold the gas.
      Maybe an internal tank within the gun like the older Marushin pistols?
      I still think gas within the shell is most realistic but a pack of 5 shells would be like $30

    Holy Crap That's Incredible... The Sound And Look is extremely realistic...
    The real one also has an insane recoil spring... It's really hard to pull back the slide when it's brand new for the real one. Like a brand new GLOCK is so much easier to pull back. Obviously it makes sense because the 1911 is a .45 but still... It was embarrassing struggling to pull this back for the first time. I wasn't used to it.

    • @CanI...
      @CanI... 3 роки тому

      Unfortunately, the cheaper version doesn't have that hard of a recoil spring. I recently did an unboxing and testing of the nighthawk 1911 and got disappointed with how easy was to rack the slide. It felt like a Glock. :(

    A real M1911 weighs about the same so that's a good sign. 1.2 kilos is roughly 2.6lbs, a real 1911 weighs about 2.5lbs. You should do a comparison video with a real M1911 if you can get your hands on one in your country. I don't know about airsoft guns very much, I just know about real guns so I'm doing research on what airsoft guns I should buy for training purposes and so I can have fun just screwing around with my friends. Lol

    Most people are saying that at $1200, just buy a real one. While I agree, not everyone can get their hands on a real 1911a2. Like in Japan, airsoft is popular because its ridiculously difficult to get a firearm.

    • @ImNathen
      @ImNathen 8 років тому

      The crazy Weaponcrafter yea, it was probably just the weight of the replica, the slide does create some recoil but as you said most of it comes from the force of the bullet leaving the gun and the gasses released thereafter when shooting a real firearm, making it even more difficult to account for. Partly the reason why a lot of guys still prefer wheel guns to semi autos, in addition to their reliability and if I may enter NSA territory briefly, for the simple fact that the spent cartridges aren't ejected and thus don't have to be accounted for after a shot is fired

    This video is about getting an airsoft gun as much like a real gun as possible, so naturally people say just buy a real gun for this price.
