As a 56-year-old woman, I never thought I’d be looking to a young person for dressing tips, but your timeless style has been such an inspiration. Thank you for injecting some confidence and purpose in my life. You have NO idea how your videos can sometimes help me get out of bed.
Greetings from over the pond! 🇺🇸 You are perfectly correct, Michelle! I am a feisty 70 years old and wanting to be stylish has been my "frivolous" mantra since I can remember. The fact that I was born and raised in Italy facilitated the whole process. Lydia you are all around excellent, your style and pieces are so tasteful, and I adore the accent - I have a friend from the Midlands who sounds just like you! Thanks for all the sound advice, every year I get fixated with a particular color - or non color - at my age I cannot do black or navy around my face anymore, it looks so dreadful and funereal. So I switched to neutral grays and blush for tops and darks for bottoms. I worked in the clothing industry, I sew and know fabrics. You are correct about proportions, colour, draping and weight all the time! When I go shopping for clothes I ask myself: "Would Lydia approve of this?". Yeah, you are this good!
Your channel is really one of the most helpful fashion channels out there. I love how you keep your outfits stylish but effortless at the same time. I was wondering if you would consider doing a video on how to look elegant and put together while wearing sneakers? Like what sneakers to wear and how to combine outfits, it would be very helpful for us who wanna look elegant while running errands. Have a nice day everyone
I love the idea of choosing 3 different styles, which means there is something there for everyone. Also, giving subscribers a chance to try a different style, when knowing what to pair it with. What’s not to love about these type of videos, well done Lydia and thank you, for all your efforts.
Yes please. Would be very interested in more in depth re skirts - particularly the pleated skirt. I live in Australia so how to wear in summer would be super helpful.
I really enjoy these do's and don't videos. Seeing it really drives the point home and makes sense. I can really see how one piece works and another piece doesn't. Thank you for sharing! I really enjoy how you take a staple in your wardrobe and style it many ways.
I am homeless because of hurricane Ian in FL, USA. I had to rush to get my things out of my house and I packed an “ clothing items I can’t live without” box and an “clothing items I can live without box”. In the whirlwind, I switched the boxes and now I have to live with my least favorite items. I’ve been watching your videos and I am so inspired to look at these neglected pieces with a different eye because of your great videos and specific advice. Also, you were saying in this video how you think you have trouble describing some of your thoughts. I think you do a great job articulating your meaning. For example, when you explain the “awkward amount of leg” that makes it very clear that people should consider that amount of leg shown can be awkward. You have a special gift. I had a personal stylist for a while and you are much much better than she was. You are an artist! Congratulations on your success.
Hi Lydia. I think you explain the do’s and dont’s of how to style pieces together so well and I find them invaluable. By showing us the outfits of before and after, it’s so clear to see how your advice works really well and gives us clear examples. I love any video that you create but lessons with Lydia are so helpful and I’m certain many of us appreciate them. I would be interested in more in depth styling videos too but not to the exclusion of the more generic ones. Take care 🧡🍁🍂
Deep dives are good! I learned a rule of thumb from another fashion youtuber that you should never buy a piece that you can't style at least 3 different ways with something you already own. Great for managing your closet and not wasting money on things you end up never wearing. Love your style and copy a lot of your outfit ideas. Chic and classic. Thanks.
It’s really helpful to see the bad examples. It actually helps me understand what looks better. Thanks for the work of giving the examples of both appropriate and inappropriate. You did a nice job explaining. It’s all about understanding the proportions.
Lydia, your videos have been a blessing to my life 🤍 I’ve received so much clarity about my style and it’s been easier and so much more exciting getting dressed in the morning! I think it’s when you get specific and go into more detail that helps paint an even clearer picture about our wardrobe and style. I’m a newer subscriber (1-2 months) but I love looking at older videos and seeing the evolution of your style, and it’s so beautiful to see 🥰 Your passion for fashion and style is so authentic and practical and you express that through your content so seamlessly; you’re not like every other fashion UA-camr. Oh, and Tim edits your videos so well! He’s definitely an asset, for sure! Hope all is well with you all ☺️
Omg, I have been struggling to style shoes with skirts/dresses for workwear in these colder months. Thank you so much for clarification. More videos on skirts/dresses please
I'd love to see more ways to style a specific piece (e.g., 5 ways to wear....). I'd really love to hear your take on how to wear mid-calf boots. I have a beautiful pair, but not sure how to pair them. Thanks!
Lydia, I love do's and don't series. Can you do one with loafers please? Gucci princetown (backless) and full loafers (TODS or Jordans) please? Pants/Jeans/Skirts-Dresses would be so useful! Thank you.
Yes, detailed videos with more shoe and jacket options for specific skirts would be great! I live in a slightly warmer climate so knee high boots would usually be too warm etc.
Love your detailed explanations and also how as a UA-camr you encourage us to use peices we already own thus promoting sustainability and less about promoting affiliate links. I really respect that so thank you.
I'm nearly 60, and I although I might have loved the mini skirt once in my youth, I'd love you to go into depth about midi skirts. I know I'm a lot older, but my style is like yours minus one or two things such as the mini, and I really enjoy your videos. You have the same style I had in the 90s,..and flair, which I sadly lost to awful fashion and looking after a child in the 2000s. Now I'm getting my style back and this is spot on! Thanks!
This makes so much sense. That's why I've never been that into capsule wardrobes, you need so much variety to be able to pair diff lengths of skirts/pants. Could you also include a skirt that ends just below the knees or on the knees? Most of my skirts are like that and I find them the most difficult to style in my wardrobe.
Yes - great idea to deep dive, I love your videos for outfit ideas and style lessons, and that sounds to combine both. My favourite series is 1 piece, 5 ways, so more of those on the back of the lesson sound fab. Basically love your content and more sounds great ❤
I just found your channel today, and I am impressed! I like that you choose a few outfits to showcase and don't overwhelm with too many options. It is also great to see the do and don't example, otherwise I would never see the difference. So cool. I am looking for outfit ideas because I feel like I am dressing always the same and feeling not comfortable with my choices. Thanks for your input 😊
Absolutely could use more guidance and in-depth styling of longer skirts for winter but without using taller boots! I don’t have tall boots and don’t think I’d wear more than a couple times. Trying to figure out the footwear piece of styling longer skirts or dresses, including the topic of tights vs no tights, color of tights with color of shoe. Thank you so much! Keep up the great work!!
Can i just say a HUGE thank you Lydia for your short on 'what to wear on a date' There are soooo many videos on what not to wear and the ones that show what to actually wear are so unsophisicated, teenyboppy, you can imagine... thank you, thank you , thank you!!! xxx
Just saw my first video of yours just now ! Wow you have amazing taste! So glad I stumbled upon you! PS I’m a science teacher for 30 years and I explain things sometimes abstract for a living. Your explanations of these abstract concepts are excellent! Excellent communicator !!❤️❤️❤️👍
Hi Lydia, you do a FABULOUS job explaining the do’s and dont’s and demonstrate it for us using pieces from your wardrobe! Your style insights are so valuable! I have been applying your tips and have finally transformed my wardrobe and focus on wearing the pieces that I absolutely LOVE❤ Thank you!!
Yes, I would love to see more videos focused on styling one specific item such as mini skirts, wide leg trousers, etc. Encompassing everything from outerwear to tops to shoes. I often wish I had more ideas or inspiration for my pieces, and occasionally I get stuck trying to figure out what the best jacket or coat choice would be. Your videos have become my style bible!
Such a helpful video! Thank you Lydia. I would love a deep dive into specific skirts...I find those to be extremely helpful in styling outfits and repurposing older pieces in my wardrobe
I tell people about your videos/UA-cam all the time. You truly understand the human body and flattering clothing. I love skirts so I am eating this up 😂
I love the idea of going in-depth into one piece of clothing. And your shoe content is spot on, I'm learning so much - thank you and please keep it coming!
I think these videos are fantastic - so, so helpful. Whenever I have an issue styling something, I always look back through your videos for that garment type to figure it out. Going in-depth on specific garments sounds great, the more examples, the better.
I love your idea of going more in depth with different pieces because then people who are adding new shapes to their wardrobes can see what matches their personal style.
Hi dear Lidia, Greetings from Portugal 💜 I just wanted to say I am obsessed with your tips and great fashion ideas! Every look you create I think it’s an absolute masterpiece! Simply learning from you! And about the question you ask at the end of the video, yes, the answer is we want to see some more skirt styles in more detail, you can do a series of them 😎🥰(mini in depth, midi in depth, and so on)! 🤗😊
YES to the question! As I learn best by repetition. Pile it on! (in proper proportion of course. Ha!) I think the method used for meals is a good pattern to follow. Appetizer (teaser short), Main course (detailed video), and dessert or Aperitif (subject focused short/reel). PS. Well done Tim! The edits were so on point! 😉"Very talented" indeed!
I would to watch you talk about how to style a a mini (or flowy) skirt in the autumn/winter. I end up looking frumpy soo many times when i adapt what works in summer to a cold weather outfit. Hugs
Very helpful! I wear dresses and skirts probably 75% of the time, and had been struggling with proportions of shoes/skirt length etc for cooler months. These are pretty straight forward combinations to try. Also thinking that if I don't want to tuck in or belt a sweater, a short sweater of a similar length might achieve a similar visual effect.
Love this video! I like the idea of choose 3 styles like you did, but it would be helpful to see dressy and casual dos and donts of one style of skirt too
Wow you didn’t miss a trick. This video literally touches on everything from head to toe. Absolutely wonderful. I learned so much. As always fantastic content. Thank you
Lydia, I feel like your verbals descriptions are quite good, especially along with the visuals. Please do more in depth videos too, I will look forward to them. Well done!
Ah thank you so much Lydia !!!! At least a great Instagramer styling skirts for a/w season!! Hurrah! Loving your style, your ideas. And the best of it : the items are affordable. Couldn’t thank you enough for that. Thank you thank you and thank you 🙏🏼
Love this series and would love it if you did a ‘deep dive’ into separate styles. Do not know how you put out so many quality videos each week- very professional and informative.
I love both this style of video and one item 5 ways too. Both are helpful to make the most of what we have and to check before we buy something new that we have more than one way to wear it. Your content is brilliant!
Yes yes yes I would love a deep dive video. Mini for sure as well as leather. I don’t know why both of those styles present such a huge challenge. Great idea!!
Yes on specific pieces, but I do love when you cover multiple styles as well. Either way, I'm learning more ways to wear what I already have so please, keep them coming!
Yes from me for the specific items videos! Would be great to see how a leather mini skirt for example could be casual/day/evening and transitioned through the seasons 👏🏻👏🏻
My favorite!! Yes! Please more in debth!! This is the video I've been waiting for. I would love for you to go More in debth with skirts as well. Even dresses!
I would love if you went into depth about wearing loose fitting trousers in the autumn/winter. I really don't wear skirts that much in these seasons. Thanks for these videos. They are so helpful.
This is a very helpful topic. I would love to see more on a pencil skirt that has buttons down the front. Your videos are so helpful and I appreciate them very much! ❤️
You nailed it in the intro. I haven’t understood enough to be able to inject my own personal style. I'd love more in-depth videos on how to style certain things. I've had the hardest time bringing it all together. THANK YOU for these vids! So helpful
Loved this video, this is perhaps one of the most challenging pieces of clothing for me to style. I found the video super helpful and right on point I would like to see videos on how to style very straight midi skirts during the autumn and winter months Thank you so much for your videos ❤I absolutely love them !!!
Yes, a video on mini skirts or skirts in general in the workplace. I work in a more casual place and would like ideas on how to wear mini skirts at work. 😊
Thank you, this is super helpful! The point about keeping similar hem lengths was interesting to me, I had never thought about it that way. Yes to doing a more in depth video, and I would also love a similar video to this on how to style scarves! How to tie them and place them in relation to the clothing depending on shape, size and weight/material, and also your advice on which style of scarf to wear with different necklines or coats.
As a 56-year-old woman, I never thought I’d be looking to a young person for dressing tips, but your timeless style has been such an inspiration. Thank you for injecting some confidence and purpose in my life. You have NO idea how your videos can sometimes help me get out of bed.

As a 66 year old I totally agree 😊
Yes I would like videos dedicated to specific skirt types and how to style them. And trousers. And shoes.
Yesss, I’m interested in specific pieces and more in depth styling videos
Amanda that message looks like a scam!
Yes I agree that’s what I would like too

I am a skirt wearer. So, I would watch any video you make on the subject. Thanks! Anne
I’d like to see more in depth vid about skirts. I have a lot of trouble styling them.
Yes please. Would be very interested in more in depth re skirts - particularly the pleated skirt. I live in Australia so how to wear in summer would be super helpful.

I would also love another video all about a “ capsule “ wardrobe of shoes and boots for fall and winter and what to wear them with.
I love these videos, they are so helpful. Would love to see ones where you go into more depth on a particular style 😊
I really like the oversized jumper with the mini skirt

Finally (!!) I know how to combine my beautiful grey mini skirt I own but almost never wore for years now! 😅🥰 Thank you so much!! 🤗
I like this video with the three different skirt styles. Would love to see ideas for pencil skirts as well as maxi skirts. Thank you!

I like the different styles, perhaps some lengths of skirt in between, like knee lengths vs maxis and midis.
Such a helpful video! Thank you Lydia. I would love a deep dive into specific skirts...I find those to be extremely helpful in styling outfits and repurposing older pieces in my wardrobe
You did a great job describing & showing. I would like to see what a "deep dive" into one item would be like.

Requesting a midi skirt/dress in depth special- love these sis!

Thanks as always! Can you pls do more skirts with boots// shoes? Thanks! ❤️
Yes, a video on mini skirts or skirts in general in the workplace. I work in a more casual place and would like ideas on how to wear mini skirts at work. 😊
I’ve been on your page for a week scouring for ideas! Sending love from the Philippines! Love you xo
Yes!!! I was just thinking about skirts 🤗😅😊
Yes please I really like the sound of individual skirt videos
