Mike, you are very welcome. Next episode will be special of focusing and how to do so when you have no wireless follow focus. If you have any questions, please put it here in the comments. Cheers Stefan
Thanks for these videos. I bought an inexpensive stabilizer for my DSLR this week and was able to get OK results once I got it balanced, but didn't have much control over the stabilizer. After watching the first two videos and practicing for just a couple of hours I already see a lot of improvement in my footage. It's so helpful just to get basic instructions on how to hold the stabilizer and move with it, and practicing is a lot more fun when you actually have an idea of what to practice, instead of just fumbling around with trial and error.
Awesome series you got here! I was looking for a good glidecam tutorial on UA-cam and was fortunate enough to come across your videos. Good job and keep it up!
Hallo stefan.. im from indonesia. i just bought it, but i have problem with weight, my hand can't hold it much longer. do you have problems like that stefan?
@@StefanCzech try to strip down? Well that's a good idea, because I'm still using the standard camera lens from the Canon 1300D, maybe I should replace a smaller lens. but is it possible stefan? I use the camera to make a youtube video in the depth tour a car
Going slow with a steady cam is very very hard to get good shots !! You are a master at your craft and you must do it very well..but I think the glidecam is best used with certain speed so it can glide and look smooth. Just shoot at 60-120fps and slow it down.. but if you are a master like yourself do it from scratch :)
Happy New Year Stefan! I hope 2019 brings you all of the riches that you deserve. I learn something valuable every time I view your tutorials. Be well, stay encouraged, and Happy New Year!
Thank Jacob. But life is not always fair. It’s a hard business and quality is not the guarantee to get good jobs. I wish you the same buddy. Stay safe. Stefan
Thank you very much. If you use OIS depends on the camera and lens model. On Canon foto lense, I will shut off because they are made for stills. On a GH5 I would use it.
sir I watched most of your videos and TBH you are really a good teacher as well as a good glidecam operator. I am also practicing to operate glidecam but I have a problem making steady shots because my glidecam keep on swinging side by side when I walk, what shall I do???
Hi James, thanks for your comment. Ok, to your problem: Make sure your esystem is balanced and had a droptime at 1.5-2 sec. Some of the newbees talking about 3-5 sec. Thats ok for a bigger and havyer system and more experianced operator. A bit more bottom heavyer is better in the beginning. Look at you weight if there is everything in the right positions. Make it symetric. Try and learn. Cheers Stefan
Hey Stefan, I'm loving your content. I've got a question regarding camera gear. I'm using a canon 70D with shutter tuned to the (48 fps ~ option on manual..) Even if I'm filming really steady with the glidecam, not that fast, the shots seem blurry. Which Camera should I buy to get good shots out of my glidecam 2000hd? Thank you very much! Cheers
Hi, thanks for your comment. Let's see, you mean 1/50sec. or. 48fps???? If you shoot in 48p it's only 720p. Maybe that's the reason for you results. Stay on 1080p/25fps. Is my tip
Yes I was shooting in automatic cause I was new to everything a few months back, the Autofocus was great for that. I've changed to "M" manuel mode and I saw a Video that 1/50 sec is 48 FPS and rounds up to 50?! So 25FPS is enough to get a smooth shot? What Camera should I upgrade too in the future? Between 1-2k € Thank you Stefan, I really appreciate your time! Greetings from Berlin.
How many weights do you use for the Canon Cinema series? I can only get it balanced with 4 weights either side but the central post is as short as possible with the wings all the way in, should I be extending the post to get it balanced with less weights? also can you do a tutorial on how to mount a monitor such as Ninja Flame to the bottom and counter weight at the back if we dont have those big batteries for counter weight? thanks
LG Stefan
Hey Stefan, I find your tutorials very useful. I've followed your guidance one by one. But I run into a small problem. How do you do a smooth tilt? I find it it's easy to tilt down. But when I tilt up, it gets unstable. And I cant maintain the balance especially during walking. Could you give me some help? Thanks.
Hi XX, thanks for your comment. For your problem, check if your Glidecam is perfectly static and dynymic balanced. Most of the time thats why it become not perfect working. Cheers Stefan
Hi Stefan! This video was very helpful. I have a question. Do the right shoes are important for more smooth shots? Do you recommend any specific type of shoes? Sport sneakers with soft, cushioning soles, like for running on the street?
Thanks Marek. I recoment the shoes that fit you the most. Feel good and give you a good grip on the ground. I know a lot of Glidecam tips here on youtube, but the "smoothes" comes not from your feet or "bending" knees. It comes from you "bending arm" Stay safe in good gripping sportshoes, and you will be fine Cheers
I am want to get into property walkthroughs, would you still recommend one of these glide cams or go for a more modern motorized gimbal? - Many thanks Dan
Stefan Czech - Thank you very much for the reply, I’ve had a go with a Glidecam for a few weeks and really got some smooth footage. Thank you for the great videos! Take care
Hallo Stefan.
Cheers
+Stefan Czech vielen Dank. Ich würde mich aufjedenfall sehr freuen. Es würde ja auch reichen wenn du die Videos nochmal auf englisch hochlädst aber diesmal denn deutschen Untertitel aktivierst. Lg Rami
Your videos are probably the most professional style of teaching this. Thank you for making all of your videos Stefan
Thank you very much. I really appreciate that. Cheers Stefan
Best Glidecam tutorials on youtube. Awaiting you next training video.
Thank you very much....

Maciek Jankowski Tomków thanks a lot. Stay save and cheers
Stefan
Stefan, You really are a master at your craft. Much respect to you my friend.
Thank Buddy
Excellent Stefan. Thank you. Looking forward to your next video.
Thanks, I´m working on it
Great stuff that I needed to see. You've answered some questions I've had for a long time in these tutorials. thanks Stefan!
Mike, you are very welcome. Next episode will be special of focusing and how to do so when you have no wireless follow focus.
If you have any questions, please put it here in the comments.
Cheers Stefan
That's great, Need that!
I've improved vastly from your training. thanks again!
Great tutorials!
Greetings from Mexico. :)
Hi, Thanks Aldo...I really appreciated that.

Hi, if you do so like I showed in the video, the problem might be with the cheap device. Can’t say it from the distance.
Awesome series you got here! I was looking for a good glidecam tutorial on UA-cam and was fortunate enough to come across your videos. Good job and keep it up!
Thanks Kris. I will keep up with new episodes ;-)
your videos could have came in handy when I bought my glidecam. you are amazing at teaching, and my practice is really making perfect. thanks
You are welcome Danny
Such a good series! Thanks for the hard work!
Thanks, you are welcome
Because of your tutorials I'm thinking of buying this kind of stabilizer. :)
Haha...thats cool.
Cheers Stefan

Fantastic work! You are really talented! Greetings from Poland
Thanks Filip... Cheers
Thanks for another Great tutorial!
Thanks Johnny ;-)
Hallo stefan.. im from indonesia.
i just bought it, but i have problem with weight, my hand can't hold it much longer. do you have problems like that stefan?
Hi impinge Pr, what kind of camera and Glidecam you use? Try to strip down the camera as much a possible to reduce weight.
@@StefanCzech try to strip down? Well that's a good idea, because I'm still using the standard camera lens from the Canon 1300D, maybe I should replace a smaller lens. but is it possible stefan? I use the camera to make a youtube video in the depth tour a car

You cant slow down every shot. Slowmo is cool but not for everything.

Thank Jacob. But life is not always fair. It’s a hard business and quality is not the guarantee to get good jobs.

Thanks for your videos, they are the best i've found! One question, should i disable OIS on the lens when using a glidecam?
Thank you very much.
If you use OIS depends on the camera and lens model. On Canon foto lense, I will shut off because they are made for stills. On a GH5 I would use it.

Thanks Stefan for sharing this good training.
You use af or manual focus?
Sotto Sopra depends on the camera. Canon : AF. Panasonic: fix focus😎

Hi Stefan, may I know which one Glidecam do you use on this video (on Glidecam training)??
Glidecam HD 2000 or Glidecam HD 4000? thank you

Hi, I give you the answer on you comment at the Training Episode 3.
I will produce a episode for the work with the X10 west/arm support.

Stefan, another great video! Do you use sliders in your work? If so which one?
Hi BinMar, no I always use a p+s skater junior. Take a loo on my showreel. All tabletops are made with this: ua-cam.com/video/RW_WpsQZi0U/v-deo.html
excellent, thank you!

It depends on the job. Sometimes a Ronin S can do the job better and faster, but still a lot of moves you cant do it with the electronics.

Nice i like that
Hey Stefan, we are going to see how many episodes of this serie ?
Hi André, why? You dont want to see any more ;-)
+Stefan Czech No, I'm loving this serie of videos but I wan't to see more!😂
puuuuu...ok ;-) yes there will some more to come. Focus pulling, X10 west and arm support, monitor on the rig etc. etc
Cheers Stefan
