I like your style dude. I'm housebound after a lifetime in the trade and get great entertainment from you YT guys. Thank you, I hope you make some money from it.
we cool, yeah we cool.... love your sense of humor as much as I love the builds. Australia upside down on purpose? man, I sure hope you keep these going. I always look forward to your new videos.
A little tip for the next time you're cleaning out the middle section of those bridal joints: Use the shoulder side of your dovetail jig to hold the chisel. Easy way to hold it at a perfect 90 degrees. Great video Dustin!
The only thing stopping me from using the jig is my lack of a proper vice. My next project has some dovetails so you can fully expect to see that beautiful two of a kind jig make an appearance shortly! Thanks man!
Piter P they are a rockler work stand thingamajig, they have rubber on both sides to grip the work piece and the bench, I think Laura Kampf has a video about them but if not a google might work.
If it looks straight it is straight. Right Africa? :) Love your videos! I like your sense of humor and especially your honesty ( yes, it does come through ) and the easter eggs. And I haven't even mentioned your craftsmanship and video editing/sound effects, both are top notch. Hope you get monetary sponsorship, it'll be a steal for them, turn-key, as your channel is so professional! Thank you for sharing with us.
"The More You Know" spotted at 1:28. Also, thank you very much for the goodies. New sticker has been added to my laptop and magnet is on my minifridge holding up my class schedule.
DP, as a subscriber, I find your builds amazing. I'm new to this trade, can you tell me how you made that marking gauge. I'm kind of on the slow side so forgive me if I missed some of your know-how- to videos. Some here might respond to me on the negative side, but I would prefer if you can impart your wisdom instead. Thank you for teaching many things.
pileofstuff Hey thx very much. I was premature in my question and should've looked at his links where he has it at amazon. But that you for helping me out. I'll still certainly see the many markings that I can choose from. Thx again.
My only complaint is the spray painted ocean. It looked rather rough and slightly messy compared to how clean the rest of the build was. Still looked great, just my two cents.
It doesnt seem to photograph very well, or I'm a bad photographer. I needed a way to create contrast and in person it looks really good. Mostly grey with a hint of blue. Thanks!
haha all good. Even if u did make the map with Indo, u would have gone nuts, i would hate to take a guess on how many islands there are. By the way, the frame with a touch of brass is classy ol mate, i liked it alot.
What make of forward action stapler is that? I cant find one online with decent reviews, despite being told by several pro's that forward action staplers are by far superior.
I think its a power shot. As far as a review goes, with something as basic as a stapler and considering I use it maybe 4 times a year... It either works or it doesn't. This one works so it's good enough for me haha!
Could have laid the map pieces out before painting the ocean, cover them with tape or something to keep them clean, the outline left would tell you where to glue.
Build details, product links and a link to the plans on my website are available in the description! Thanks for watching! Some people have been asking about Patreon. I have an account set up for that already! Link also in the description.
Great question! Some people thumbs down if they don't have a tool that I used in the video or the tool I used is the "wrong" brand. I've heard of people that thumbs down a video if the material is difficult or expensive to get in their country. Some people just want to be dickheads. Some ideas pop in my head complete, and others I need to mentally pound away on for hours to figure out. Thanks very much!
You are very gifted because you give people like me inspiration. On the videos I have watched, I don't have all the tools you do, but that's actually not always a negative because it forces me to be creative and figure out how to do it with what I have. It also motivates me to get my site up and running and start creating and being able to sell products so I can generate revenue to buy the tools you have. Thanks for your videos, inspiration and response!
I hate to be that party pooper, but I feel kinda bugged ya missed some island nations between North Asia and Aussie like Indonesia (which has 5 bigger islands than Madagascar), the Philippines, and Japan. Otherwise, great vid! I feel pleased watching the process for some reason.
I use the blue tape for clarity on video. As stupid as it sounds, white tape confuses people. People know its tape right away if I use the blue or green stuff. It also doesn't leave residue.
Cool. It does the trick. . Maybe my channel could make it to the level of yours someday with the help of your handy tricks. lol Prolly not. Thanks for the link
Nice job. Especially like the idea of attaching cork onto corrugated cardboard to get some extra thickness.
It's the right shape! Flat!! Great job!
This looks awesome
I am speechless! that's a nice board.
Wonderful demo. I could watch you work all day.
Did you clean and oil that marking gauge, Marine???!!!!
Beautiful and practical
If nothing else, at least we all learned that Russians are Asian and Greenland is a part of Denmark 🇩🇰
Не все русские - азиаты ;)
Dustin Penner hey!! I am Russian, and this comment 它根本不会冒犯我!来自寒冷的俄罗斯的你好,伟大的视频!
That is really cool!
Thanks man!
Unicorns are so majestic!
So majestic of course! 7:10. PD: The caribean islands are nice too.
awsome build man!

Of course! Sean from Simplecove was stoked to see his sticker at the end there. Cheers bud!
awesome video, they keep getting better and better . go flames
xcm thanks. It's the Oilers turn!
YOU ARE AMAZING MAN!
There is something missing, no hidden compartment. :P
I have an upcoming project for which I'm going to use a bridle joint; I like the idea of using a brass pin to strengthen the joint.
It's a satisfying joint to make. Very easy to get perfect.
Very cool build awesome techniques
Brillo build and you even got the Uk in there. Well Done.
TC, Barry (ENG)
He was born skilled already (+:
And whats the name of your Gauge, craftsman...loved it.
The technique you used to cut the joints is awesome. Why the brass inserts in the middle?
Nice work!!you even showed yourself gluing Ireland on,you get a thumbs up from me!
That is a pretty cool cork board!
I agree, unicorns are majestic
Nice job as always, Dustin.
amazing well done
Hey Dustin, I love watching your video's.
I was wondering do you do commission work?
Eric Pellerin thanks. Commission work depends on the project and budget.
Dustin Penner I sent you an email through your website
Nice job.... Please tel me there is still an Iceland. I have plans to go and would really like the plane to have a place to land :)....
Very creative!
Wow, beautiful work!
Great job but, what kind of magic you use for hold the framework when you use the router???!!
Best regards!!
Piter P they are a rockler work stand thingamajig, they have rubber on both sides to grip the work piece and the bench, I think Laura Kampf has a video about them but if not a google might work.
Awesome reference to the movie FMJ
Very nice Dustin! Love it! Thumbs up
Thank you!
Great project and humor :)
Thanks!
Awesome!
omg these sounds make my ears feel so good
pretty sure hes Canadian, dude
John Reynolds well... that would clear things up
no doubt aboot it!
Thanks! Your friendly neighbour to the north!
Dustin Penner I wont forget that you glued my Portugal to Africa tho
What type of backing did you use under the cork?
The golden pieces on the middle and squares its just aesthetic ?
UrkoZzZ well I guess technically they make the corners stronger, but they weren't needed.
If it looks straight it is straight. Right Africa? :)

Excellent! Thank you!
Is that a Full Metal marking gauge???
me love it long time
The Full Metal Jacket reference had me laughing 😆 I’m doing a similar project, so this video was helpful.
Unicorns are so majestic.
Very nice!!
Nice man!
such a pleasure to watch. danm !
Great film and editing style in this one
And being from Denmark - Rigtig fed video, mere af dem - tak :)
haha! Thanks!
this is true, Unicorns are majestic
Super cool!
Hey man, cool build. But what's that tool you used at 1:36?
Jackman Works wood grain comb. Helps to tame those unruly, wavy grains.
Jackman Works a pizza cutter for ants.
Skill
How did he cut out the continents?
that was pretty damn cool!
Thanks!

He bought the marking gauge
@Tony Bryce Perez: Here's the marking gauge that Dustin uses:

Yes these guys are correct. I have a link in the video description to one on Amazon as well! Thanks!
pileofstuff Hey thx very much. I was premature in my question and should've looked at his links where he has it at amazon. But that you for helping me out. I'll still certainly see the many markings that I can choose from. Thx again.
Dustin Penner Thx for your help DP. You have no idea how much you've helped me learn a great deal. Thank you for sharing your knowledge bro.
Iceland. Antarctica ..... awesome build
OMG, I wish I had that thing!!!
Thanks!
Dustin Penner I totally get that! I'm sure it looks much better in person. It's a great looking piece.
haha all good. Even if u did make the map with Indo, u would have gone nuts, i would hate to take a guess on how many islands there are. By the way, the frame with a touch of brass is classy ol mate,
i liked it alot.
Very nice project but... the Iceland...?
cool project.
Thanks!
I’ve never done this in art before.
Классно получилось!!!!
Unicorns are so majestic....be better with a secret compartment IMO...since that's your thing lol. Pretty nice frame nevertheless.

Good
awww you missed tasmania hahaha
haha was never really part of Australia anyway lol
Even Dustin doesn't like Tasmania. :-)
Wesley Inglis And iceLand
Tasmania has always been part of Australia
Sweet! :)
Thanks Jer!
Missed Iceland 🇮🇸 dude
Einar Ragnarsson I wish the map was more complete. Sorry about that! Just know you're in my heart Icelandians!
Really cool cork board! Forgot Newfoundland though ;)
It's an outright travesty! I pinned my offshore certification in its place!
Could have laid the map pieces out before painting the ocean, cover them with tape or something to keep them clean, the outline left would tell you where to glue.
I laid it out and marked it with pen. You can see it in some of the shots.
Iceland?
I didn't make the map...

LLOL Great video dustin!
Thanks!
👍👍
Why do you think some people give it a thumbs down? Your videos and projects are awesome. Where do you get your ideas?
Great question! Some people thumbs down if they don't have a tool that I used in the video or the tool I used is the "wrong" brand. I've heard of people that thumbs down a video if the material is difficult or expensive to get in their country. Some people just want to be dickheads.

What happened to the rest of Canada? 😝 Too difficult to include?
Tom Zborovsky sorry Newfoundland!
More specifically Nunavut
Tom Zborovsky and Vancouver Island. I didn't make the map haha! Lots of missing land!
Oh yeah, true that. But fair enough since you didn't draw it out yourself. The cork board doesn't suck, but the map kinda does 😂😂
Tom Zborovsky I would argue that it's a cork board not a map. I do not recommend this if you'd like to circumnavigate the globe. Especially Africa..
Where is Tasmania??? Australia is not complete without it!!
what was the thing with africa?
You for got Tasmania
i like your video your video is veri veri good
poor Tasmania!
Bad asss!!?
You're only a little bit off w/ Africa... just a small continental shift 🤓👍🏼
Live Free and DIY I am fairly certain I could have got away with it, but thought it best to confess immediately! Thanks!
Where's Tasmania? :P
Jared Mifsud Tasmania is an island just south of Australia.
Where's Philippines?
You don't know where the Philippines are?
Dustin Penner I meant that it's not on the map you made
What would you like me to do about it?
I was just wondering why you excluded it
Rukawa Kaede I didn't exclude it. As it says in the video description, I bought the map and it can only get so detailed.
Missing Iceland :)
the more you know 1:28
Bassel Malo
Bassel Malo
DIRESTA! :D
Cecilia Alfonsa the world parts were purchased. I have no control over what countries they included.
Needs Tasmania lol
indonesia?
+IE ENG ?
🇬🇧 👍
thumbs up for africa!
Too bad blue painters tape is almost $8 a roll in my area..
too bad what?
The blue tape you use in your videos cost about $8 per roll in our local Lowe's.. I think that's ridiculous. But you have great videos. good job.
Bam! amzn.to/2anrVD7
I use the blue tape for clarity on video. As stupid as it sounds, white tape confuses people. People know its tape right away if I use the blue or green stuff. It also doesn't leave residue.

Where is Antarctica lol
DIY Builds i wish the map was more complete!
im australian
Congrats! I like the way your people say the word "metal"
Is there a different way to say metal? (meT al)?
sorry it 270 million
