It's really sad the way it turned out. I could've accepted the ending has SP and Kishi did it in a way that didn't destroy Naruto and his relationship with Sakura. They completely undermined his feelings towards her, it makes me sick just thinking about that. You would think Kishi would care more about his series and fans in general giving us more than just a romance ending!

Everything went downhill after Naruto vs Pain. Hinata shouldve died there. But kishi was planning something. Kishi wanted to make an OP child with Boruto and Sadara. If i could animate, this is how i would write it, continuing after Naruto vs Pain where Hinata dies, Naruto realizes that Hinata was the only one who was really there for him and Naruto will blame himself for her death. After Naruto defeats Pain, Naruto goes missing and loses memory. They find Naruto's headband and assume he's dead or something. Sakura will be crying and start hating herself for treating Naruto like shit. Life continues on in the Hidden Leaf for a few episodes and dont show Naruto as a cliff hanger. Sakura will be given a mission to get some herbs or whatever on an island and there she see's Naruto. We get fillers on what went on when Naruto went missing. In the fillers he's taken in by a poor family who lives on money that comes from underground street fights. Naruto fights to provide for the fam and.....

I really don't think so, love maybe patient but not that patient, I hate how they had Hinata use Naruto as a crutch to escape her family problems, if she just got over him I know she would have been a great and strong leader of the Hyuga clan, with her being on par with Itachi and Shisui, that's a future I saw in her even after her defeat by Neji's hands, Naruto only had three possible outcomes because of his never give up never back down attitude besides becoming Hokage of course, either ending up with Sakura (NaruSaku), end up with Sasuke (NaruSasu) or stay single and train the next generation of genin, though I would have loved for him to do that either way, him ending up with Hinata the way he did goes against everything that made Naruto who he is, and as for Sakura, I hate to blame my boy but it was definitely Naruto's fault that he fan the flames of Sakura's crush on Sasuke, I don't know if Sakura will ever realize that it was Naruto pretending to be Sasuke she fell in love with, instead of it being the real Sasuke, because that was the whole point of her character development, from being a school girl crushing on Mr. popular to being a strong Kunoichi who finally ends up with the right man AKA Naruto, also let me tell you one more thing, NaruHina was just used for a plot device to continue the story of the Otsutsuki, nothing more to continue the story to Boruto and ignoring the prophecy of Jiraiya, making it look like that Naruto would be the student that brings ruin to the world, (so if I would Hazard a guess, I think Minato was the child of prophecy and the decision was to tell him the prophecy the old Kronos story, trying to prevent something you know is going to happen will make sure it happens) because if Naruto did end up with Sakura then there would be no need to continue the story and no need for Boruto.
