StarCraft 2: Unlimited ZERGLINGS?! ByuN (Terran) vs Solar (Zerg)
Вставка

- Solar DOES NOT CARE how many Zerglings he loses to ByuN. Terrans struggle in the face of the ultimate zerg rush.

Bo5's are a great medium for castings. Not as long as Bo7's, but can offer more round variety's than Bo3's by mixing in more cheeses and macro games. Really enjoy these. Great casting as always Winter
TIL 5 is less than 7 but more than 3
#Wintergaming Would love to see a re-cast of one of these old games that got the reaper nerved by byun.. ;)
Great idea!
I sub to Harstem for mediocre stories and theorycrafting. I sub to Lowko for… well look he’s a nice guy. But I sub to Winter because he’s so god damned good at casting.
Keep it up, guy!
sub to Professional Forehead Model Lowko*
Byun did get one hatchery in game 1. It was right there on the units lost tab.
I think he got it late, or no?
Super excited for low apm challenge 2022! Has been really instructive in the past, my favorite series!
this is one of those games that really looks and feels like the epic battlefield war that starcraft is supposed to be. unfortunately these kind of games get so optimized that games often end very early but when 2 players are close in skill level and their play styles clash we get amazing games like this
35:25 make an only content creators cup!! I’m pretty sure that like Lambos grudge match people would pay for the prices. You can make that online cup and have a pro cocast with you.
32:38 that was rough, guess ByuN was sure that Solar would retreat and he dropped 6(?) Mules on the mineral line after taking that huge eco hit - only to have the shipping packaging on the shiny new mules opened by slimy zerglings. And then you can't even return those. The smell!
Since the purchase of Blizzard by Microsoft a small hope has started to grow in me that perhaps the intern who is the only one working on SC2 will get some support and we will see more fresh content and support for the game.
insane to me that people honestly think Microsoft is going to put money IN to blizzard's existing games
they didnt buy out blizzard because they saw a huge opportunity for growth. they bought out blizzard because they saw an opportunity to take over a severely weakened competitor with a damaged but recognizable brand and a handful of reliably profitable IPs, cut out all the bloat and excess, and streamline it to industry standard. This is how takeovers of mature brands generally work. They are not going to create jobs for blizzard's development teams. They are going to take blizzard's IPs and continue running them through the mud, only now they'll be the ones profiting.
Wardii may be good at organizing tournaments but boy does he suck at casting. I have recently watched him. And he has yet to improve. It's like watching a bronze leaguer try to explain sc. No offense.
Am I just too noob or ghosts should be more expensive. Sniping any unit to oblivion multiple times, cloaking and emping a cluster of vipers can't cost 125 gas. Playing with broodlords against them its a pain (I guess playing against broodlors is a pain too but come on!)
Cooking with Creep ! LOL
winter, just cast with wardi already, seriously your powers combined would get artosis sweating 😓
The only channel that asks what dose creep taste like the question we've all really wanted to know I smoked creep once
Solar in game 1 looking like he learned to play SC2 by watching the campaign cinematics
Creep tastes like Boneberries! which do certainly have a dirt-based flavor
Should update Solar's player card. Extra damage taken from Terran Nukes.
Byun lost 105 scvs in the first game and still had over 80
so here for Brenda's Kitchen: Cooking with Creep
yeaaaaa shoutout to wardi for sure!!! youre both my favorite casters
52:30: The Terran have brutal rites of passage xD
Thanks, Winter, good job!
Keen for Low APM Challenge 2022!
Quote of the year 'what does creep taste like' hahaha 🤣
Its insane to me that byun doesn't use PF's after his second expansion. Its so tuff multitasking against zerg (for me anyways). Maybe that would help out. Is it a pride thing or does it really boost eco or help with detection that much ?
The goal of terran is constant offense after a certain amount of building up. The positives outweigh the negatives in getting that 3 base economy fulling rolling vs having a safer 3rd. If you need a PF to keep your 3rd alive, chances are very good you're going to lose anyway.
Also, baneling busts. Losing your 3rd to 2 dozen banelings is catastrophic damage at that stage of the game, orbitals can just lift.
Solar is such a nice player to watch
As I walk through the valley of the Shadow at death I realized I'm a ghost and I ain't got nothing left see I've been nukeing so long even my general thinks that my mind is gone now I ain't never been a man that had been a pussy
holy hell that first game is insaaneee
Hyped for low apm 2022!
Damn, I havent seen Winter do AoE4 in almost a month. Has he stopped doing that game?
Game is bad
All hail the almighty algorithm!
Lurkers are OP.
Please fix.
If I think if I could somehow Master One approach it would have to be solar's approach on game two. The way it was all timed and built up just to hit the Terran right in the face with mass ling/bane before it could build up enough defensive posture. Just awesome to watch, I'll never be as good but I can admire.
1st finally!
"This isnt Canada"
I died
My fave SC2 caster
game 3 was pretty hype
Some dirt is nutritious
I think creep has a very iron-y taste, with the consistency of maybe tendons on the outside and, like, marrow in the inside?
Military service and reaper nerfs made ByuN's aggressive style of play obsolete.
The take away from this series is that Terran is handicapped by design and starts off behind from the very start of the game. Terran requires devastating damage early and often to remain even whereas a single successful attack from the Zerg is enough to put the Terran in an irrecoverable position. Every single game, Byun managed to repeatedly kill massive numbers of drones by attacking bases where the Zerg army wasn't but lost because of a single successful ling & bane run-by (1st and 2nd games) or a successful nydus (3rd game). A single successful attack against the Terran was sufficient to negate and entire game's worth of losses against the Terran, and win the game.
every race has strengths and weaknesses. Byun didn't lose his games off of one mistake. he made little mistakes and miscalculations throughout those matches, and they added up. for instance, if he'd been more active in scouting during that third game, he could have seen that nydus, and he took more damage than he needed to in the base trade. He also built a bunch of ghosts and completely failed to do any work with them or keep them safe, and that's a huge investment to just lose like that. he just played more sloppily in the b05 than his opponent, and it got him 3-0'd.
@honcho emoji - That's precisely the point you're missing. Solar's mistakes were more numerous and costly than Byun's, as is clearly visible on the units lost tally at the end of the game, but still won. We're in agreement that Byun made mistakes, but I think his mistakes weren't nearly as grave as Solar's.
@@breezybadger2676 alright, you clearly have no idea how these two races even work in high level play. Zerg will almost always have higher units lost and more costly trades than terran, including in the games they win. They expand faster, drone up more, and have more expendable units. That's just how the race is balanced. there is almost nothing zerg has that can match the efficiency of a properly microed terran army, so they have to rely on the race's hardcoded strengths - fast re-maxing, mobility, and expansion speed.
Aooo zerg wins?
JIMMY!!
byun my bouuuy
these games are so predictable, the players should play no rush 10 minutes once in a while to spice things up haha
Not sure how many wins byun has won against against him, but as far as winter's casts I have seen, looks like solar got his revenge
glad that you are more motivated to play lately!
Damn that 1st game, true zerg infinitely rolling forward. Bring a tear acidic tear to my Zerg eye!
Something has got to be done about bullshit Ling/Bane builds. It's ridiculous that 1000 lings can die yet Zerg still win. It's especially bullshit coz tier 1 units like ling bane can easily take out upper tier units. So many super talented Terran or Protoss players are locked out of the top 10 due to filthy ling/bane builds. On the flipside, I wonder why Bun doesn't use more libs/bcs'.
Used to love watching Byun play, not its just downright painful to watch the same build order fail over and over. I mean jesus fuckin christ Byun, build a few BC's and go hatch hunting. Create a bit of map pressure. But no, live every match I have watched lately, he will win an engagement, and all he needs to do is keep the pressure on but he always retreats and allows the opposition to build back their army. As a terran player, it is really really painful to watch this shit...
Blizzard: Let's give Terran a unit that can be used for early game pressure and harass but also has other uses, especially in the late game.
Protoss: Am I a joke to you?
Zerg is so disgustingly op in every way. Production eco and their spell casters counter everything except ghosts but that doesn't even matter cause everything they have can just roll over you before you even get to ghosts.
Terran is so disgustingly op in every way. Mules make up 2 bases of income, marines kill everything before it even gets close and ghosts counter everything.
;)
lost some money on this one, did we?
I'd love to see some zvz.... Or pvp
