Thanks for this educational video. I am in the process of getting this system. I have been type 1 for nearly 50 years. This will be a great tool for me.
Thank you for this informative video, it's very interesting. This loop system is changing our life, we can go out without checking glycemia and hands in the pockets lol. No more need of sugar :) I can drive my car without check and safely. I can sleep a whole night without alarms or check etc... I'm feeling 99% free now. Many Thanks.
Thank you for the video. Some questions remains : Are the autocorrection take into account to adapt background insuline amount for the next days ? Which parameters can we change in smartguard mode except target (set to 100, 110 or 120). For exemple does insuline sensitivity or max basal/h have an impact on smartguard mode ?
Yes, the Apple Watch would communicate with the compatible iPhone device that is running the MiniMed Mobile app. More details here: www.medtronicdiabetes.com/customer-support/minimed-780g-system-support/minimed-mobile-app-training
Hi, Kenneth. The sensor and transmitter are water-resistant at 8 feet (2.4 meters) for up to 30 minutes. CGM readings may not be transmitted from the CGM to the pump while in water.
I have gone back to Manual mode I'm tired of bloodsugars over 120 when my target is 100. Doesn't come close. I'm low carb maybe 15 a day. I want the basal to stay at 80 - 100. Is that too much to ask. Been on medtronics for over 26 years and really thinking about a DYI looping. I have every right to have a normal A1C. 47 YEARS diabetic and because of first 10 years following ADA 70 -180. I am paying with diabetic complications of bloodsugars over 140. Look at the studies.
U might want to take a look at Dr Richard Bernstein the 89? year old type 1 diabetic who wrote Diabetes Solution and is even still active on UA-cam. His plan can give you truly normal blood sugar all the time.
Thanks for phone use info. I also need to know if kiasp insulin works in the 780G?..my endo said she would ok the pump but that it would take weeks to get it going? How true is this?
Hi, Catherine. The MiniMed 780G system is intended for use with U-100 Humalog™ or U-100 NovoLog™ insulin. As for getting started, the timeline will vary depending on your insurance and benefits but we'd be happy to work with you get the process started. Please let us know! Thanks.
I do not have a smart phone but I appreciate what you all have taught me in this video.😊
