You are a godsend... i just tried messing with the mule tonight as i had the idea of having my C1 as a "delivery/bunker" ship... with both a STV and a Mule in it... along with a pair of 2 SCU boxes in the C1 and a 1SCU box on the mule, but couldn not for the life of me click the 'rear' toggle on the dash :T thought it was me... then went googling, and found this :)

Imagine if they let us to store small boxes of Weevil Eggs and Maze that we can find in bunkers inside this 1 or 2 SCU boxes!! Explain what detachment mode is for those who don't know. Like, is it like how you can change the mode on the Paramed to treat yourself or change the med getting dispensed, if you know how to do that?
I feel lile there has to be a way to taise the bar thats in the way or something. Seems like a hige over sight to give it a cargo grid but not make it so you can place a crate unless you jerry rig it.
There is a pair of toggles on the right side panel inside the mule that is literally labeled "front" and "rear" ... but only the 'front' one works (to toggle the forks) its like they forgot to go back and animate the rear for the rear SCU box area)
@@LORDV4DERONP1LLSThe base cyclone has a ramp that comes down and you can place 1 or 2 scu containers in the spot, but they don't have a grid. You don't need to put down the ramp btw
I was a little sad the other day that this wasn’t working for personal 1SCU boxes (the ones made from blowing up something you own). I even resorted to lifting the mule with the beam and setting it on the box. No snap. Looking forward to boxes being in the game.
Yeah, they need to fix this. It should take any box which fits on the rear side. And regarding the forks, yeah I don't see any advantage of having them...tractor beam would be way more useful on this vehicle!
@@LORDV4DERONP1LLS Agreed. I was pretty exticted to drive this little thing around when I seen it, but let down when i couldn't really do anything except the small box delivery missions.
@@GameCruton So far it has been most useful for me when doing bunker missions. You land 2km away, take the Mule to the bunker, and load up a 1 SCU box with all your loot. Then you take the Mule back to the ship and have a crash resistant container for your loot until you get back to the station. I am usually able to fit an entire bunker into the 1 SCU box + leg armor + core armor + backpack.
You don’t need to position the mule any special way. The problem is that you are trying to load it while on a cargo grid that takes precedence on locking down the cargo box. You simply need to line the box up straight and it will snap right in place.
@@critmyster7492 In the video he tries what you said in the middle of nowhere with no ship or cargo grid. As we all did before coming to this video. It doesn't work. You have to get at least a corner of the box under the Mule or drop it from the top.
You can buy these new 1,2,4 and 8 scu containers in cargo deck of almost any station. Seraphin station for example. You csn use this box for storing guns and armors while doing a bunker missions for example!

You will as soon as they fix missing elevators on tier 2 drug related bunker missions 😉...if things stay like this in live build...these 6 slots for small boxes will bring you a lot of money 🙂
you can also now do that with the aurora, having 3 SCU of storage instead of just 650k uSCU

Just use detachment mode on a tractor beam when mule is not in a ship and it works normal

It will snap to the mule but the mule can't be in your ship to do it. Put tractor beam in detachment mode and it works just fine

Why don't you use a tumbrill cyclone? It is faster, can carry two players, has shields and can carry a 1SCU or several smaller boxes

The open doors command on mule should extend rear suspension up 6” or 30 cm
I don’t think that bar would move on its own.
I think it’s part of the main body, separate from the suspension

Yes! As soon as the purchasable SCU boxes came into iteration, I haven’t looked back. They are great!
I wonder if it will save what is in the container after reclaiming it, if you do the vehicle part swap trick that used to work to "insure" armor.

Theu definitely fixed it right along with the gun rack gun dupe in ships. I really miss the gun one as I used that for website guns for pvp.

Mule could have been more useful if back cargo bed is not upsidedown.

There used to be a button to open up the back bar, at the back or from the driver seat. Did they remove it?

The button is there.. but you cant click it.. only the 'front' forks are clicable now with 3.22 (just tried useing the Mule tonight)
