@ZenPhilosopher123 Sloppy? No! That game wasn't clean, from both sides; but sloppy was a rather overexaggerating term. Nevertheless, it was tense and really fun to watch.
First game was trash, the reaction from Dark was horrible, he lost so much to a drop/warp and then to the DT's that it was like watching low Diamond. And then SOS losing a ton of probes to lings...
I honestly found that first game to be one of the least entertaining games of sc2 I've watched. So many poor plays leading to needless loss of workers from very wimpy attacks; so many retreats; game was just a slow grind of mistakes adding up eventually.
@@tarquin161234 Yeah, Maru looks like he is in a better shape than last year. Trap also is strong right now. The semifinals and finals will probably be great. We had many one-sided matches this season, I hope it will not continue.
I feel like that it would be a good change to the game if zerg eggs (zergling into bane or roach into ravager) get a hp and armor reduction; just like warping in units makes these units more vulnerable for protoss. Currently, the morphing allows zergs to redirect damage during fights to the eggs for nearly no costs at all or - if the eggs finish - even resupply healthy units into the fight.
The difference is morphing takes out the unit for that time too, so it basically temporarily reduces your army strength while warping is just adding units without affecting your current army. So kill morphing units is more punishing than killing warping units
Good point. Warping in units however cost full when destroyed during warp in and a cancelled morph only a quarter the unit costs. I think increasing the cancellation costs is not a good option, since it would affect all cancellations e.g. due to miss clicking.
But the units that are morphed are nearly dead. So instead of a roach about to die you get a 200 hp, 10 armor force field for 25 min and gas (if egg is killed). The Protoss units target the egg and kill it, but Zerg safes about 2 roaches for 25 min and gas, since the damage is eaten by the egg. So Zerg gets a 200 hp, 10 armor damage reduction in a fight for each roach turned into an egg. And if the egg hatches the new unit is at full health even if the egg has only 2 hp left and the roach turned into the egg had also nearly no hp. In sum Zerg invested in two units, but got the health of three units with no risk at all, because the money is refunded if the egg is killed.
When Protoss uses a warp in they risk the warping in units being targeted and (due to increased damage) being killed with no refund. In this case Protoss spend money for 1units, but got health for 0.5 units with the risk of loosing all investment, because the units killed are not refunded. That was my point. :)
I haven't played in years, but I still watch a lot and I 100% thought there was a difference between blade and scythe when they first mentioned it. I was so confused, lol
Typical sOs series. Great strategy and tactics, but control is not on the same level. This is why it's so amazing if he wins and so frustrating if he loses. G1 was epic though!
@@blue-phoenix115 Zerg is definitely stronger if left unchecked. The race is all about abnormal growth rate. You can see that if a Zerg player is as good as dark, the only option to kill him is to cheese. Evidenced in the final Maru vs Dark

Damn, that first game was AWESOME! So close throughout the whole thing, and both players' multitasking and harass were ON POINT.

Dark still in God mode from the end of last year, I don't think anyone can beat him right now.
Rouge has Dark number for a while now. He 4-0 Dark in the Super Tournament last year, and just 3-0 him in IEM.
@@tigera6 Rouge is like the cryptonyte to dark... worst enemy.... buts hes no longer around...
I'm looking forward to when he plays Maru as he looks on top form

he's dark
best series from Ro8

Such a good cast and matches
sOs games are so entertaining!
Dark! Let’s go to the Finals
holy lord Game 1 was so goooooood
34:33 be like: WTF I'm trying to hype on that why tf would you switch it away???
Not sure of Dark is just stubborn but anything to shut down the warp prisms would've changed this game significantly
Was so disappointed in this match. Was really hoping for it to be closer than the result. Also was hoping for loser to advance.
Zerg is op man.
game 1 sos should have triedtoget the back expansion, waaaay easier to hold than the base he tired to take 4 times.

We need Classic... Protoss is hopeless now

The only protoss unit that gave threaten dark is the Warp prism, SOS should have made more of that.

bole's a disgusting ability with high damage and range and short cd..
Cause you are supposed to win if you go DT 3 games in a row and opponent just puts spores in each base.
