Just wait for a sale though.
wouldn't consider this modular as none on the mods are vital to the operation of the phone. when you can swap out internal batteries, internal cameras, internal display, internal cpu, internal memory, etc. thats when it is truly modular.
I'd go for Nexus 2016. It'll probably be the best value, and ready for DayDream VR. Not to mention that it's a Nexus, so you'll get all the Benfield of one.
Where are the FM radio mods? Since the carriers don't want you to have that I think it would be a very popular mod. Are we trying to sell phones or come up with rediculas crap?

I look at these 'mods' and i think LGG 5 don't see these doing any better especially the projector - they have to make them compelling and with all the accessories out there with better quality and cheaper price these mods will never take off.
I kind of agree with you,however these MotoMods are better than LG's "Friends"-modules. Also Lenovo has plans to release more mods whereas LG will give us no more than the the ones we got at launch.

Its a good idea but the prices are wayyyy off, why pay $300 for a projector when you can buy a proper 1 for that price. its not like you would carry that projector mod around with you, you'd only take it if you know you're gonna need it, therefore, why not just get a real projector. The speaker mod is pointless, you'd b better off carrying an audio cable cos who doesn't have some sort of speaker setup in their house, unless you wanna be 1 of those dicks that plays their music in public of course. $60-$100 for a battery mod???? you can get a power bank for $10. and last but not least, £300 for a camera mod, you can get an SLR for that price!!! and i can guarantee an SLR will take better pictures than any phone, with or without mods. The whole mod idea will only work if the mods are compatible with all phones anyway and the only way to do that is via USB or bluetooth cos who's gonna keep the same phone for years, just to use the mods
I would like to see a slide out game controller mod that works like the old Xperia Play. And could they at least release a mod with a built in headphone jack?? Imagine a battery pack mod with a headphone jack on the side. I bet that would sell pretty good since Moto decided to fuck wired headphone users by forcing us to use a separate adapter.
Lol yes. Motorola/Lenovo heard that the iPhone 7 won't have one so they were like fuck it lets do it first. I honestly don't use wired headphones but I do use the aux wire in a couple of my cars that don't have Bluetooth. (I sell cars)
We vote with our dollars which way we want tech to go, moto is going in the right direction. Hope they come up with virtual reality glasses too. Maybe they have. The projector impressed me after working for Sony Computers in the 1990’s where they had the best camera and projector on the market but were left in the dust. Same goes for the Datalink Watch that used to hold your contacts and was so afordable, only to be linked up to satalites where I could read John John was missing which ruined my day and killed the watches simple model that is not just anouther sports watch.
We need it more brushed and hope so it will be next year as thinks goes really fat and say abt battery or any other cases other than just case all are ugly fat and moto didn't keep the dimple than y keep curve move on make the thing look more creative haha

You can add and change functionality to a device, but you can't change the core components of said device.

gwsstar well don't blame Moto. OEM can do phones that support mods but they are greedy. They don't want anything to do with other oems.
