What rubbish, just look at London, Bradford, Rotherham, Luton, Bristol etc etc. 10 "Foreign" mayors of our cities, in ALL these cities there are "no-go areas" and some "sharia law" is used and the police turn a blind eye, because they do not want to be called racist by the likes of do-gooders, the pc brigade, leftie tree-huggers and "bubble" livers. All these are really clueless to what is happening in the real world. They really need to get out and about to where the real people live. She was trying to make a point about how JC possibly doesn't diverge from social norms to the degree that he is portrayed. JRM then seemed to save her argument by pointing out that JC has worked in parliament for 30 years (whether this is a good or bad argument is debatable. JRM is then happy because he now has an angle on the dialogue that allows him to promote his ideology. If it's assumed that all politicians have a base-level of "bad", then he has a case for arguing that the conservatives are preferable). I agreed/disagreed with both the interviewer and JRM throughout this vid, but at that point, I thought JRM dealt with the questions very well.
      The exchange...
JRM - "You would serve under him though? You're not one of those who wouldn't serve under him?"
Interviewer - "No, I would serve under him."
      ...sounds so weird though.

I was born on a rough council estate. I was able to go to a public school for nothing because of the Direct Grant system: I and my best schoolfriend, Ian Bell (co-creator of the computer game _Elite;_ shameless name-drop) were the last two scholarship boys to get into the school on scholastic ability only, because Labour cancelled the Direct Grant system that allowed working-class boys like me to get an excellent education and, above all, self-confidence and self-awareness.
We were never, ever, _ever_ taught to disparage anyone because of their race, creed, colour, political persuasion and so on. It was perfectly OK to beat someone up because he fell over when running between the wickets and robbing the popular Captain of the First XI of his third half-century of the term. I know that from personal experience, but it and my lowly upbringing didn't prevent me from later becoming Captain of the First XI and scoring two centuries and six fifties against our common enemy, Haberdashers' Aske's (another public school in the same county of Hertfordshire). I love cricket to this day.
In fact, my school hammered into us that we were incredibly privileged: not in the current context that we should be ashamed of it, but that we should be ashamed if we didn't exercise that privilege to the full and be utterly grateful for it every day. And I am (sorry, Sir; I know I shouldn't have started a sentence with a conjunction), every day.
I was given a great chance, and I took it. I now live in a nice house in a small, quiet village, also in Hertfordshire, and I have a great job with good pay. Not because I stole it from someone else, or through hating someone for something that is irrelevant to me, or through flashing the old school tie (St Albans School isn't Eton, Harrow or Winchester; nobody would even recognise the school tie), or ever mentioning that I went to a public school; no, my school gave me an even greater privilege.
It challenged me. It made me look at myself and criticise myself and search my motivations, my fears, my hatreds, my weaknesses and swear to myself not to become their slave. And to take charge with what is good and fair and just and honest. And I have tried to do that ever since. I do well at job interviews because I am relaxed and open about myself and my experiences: no employer is ever going to find some dark cranny of my soul that I haven't searched out for myself years ago and expunged.
I don't hate people: I hate narrow-minded philosophies that look to indoctrinate the young and keep them scared and ignorant into adulthood rather than teaching them a sense of self-worth and self-reliance. I hate shallow platitudes that are used as substitutes for reasoned argument. I hate the idea of people being told that they are what they are and can never be anything else because other people are stopping them.
And I, a man born on a rough council estate, feel far, _far_ more in common with Jacob Rees-Mogg, MP than I do with Jess Phillips, MP.

It is astonishing how many people can't see what these policies have done all over the world. Fact is people in western countries are spoiled and they don't get to see the suffering these socialist policies bring with it. In my country our socialist government has recked our economy with these socialist policies. We have a staggering 30% unemployment, power supply that is unreliable, rail that has collapsed, telecoms that are getting more expensive and less reliable, our state owned national airlines have been put under business rescue. Mr Mogg let the labour woman speak quite a lot.. which either was a factor of his shyness or complete genius (obviously the latter) she had so many red flags you just can't say in politics
1). She said to a labour supporter in a pub full of conservatives in a village full of conservatives "oh.. so you're the sane one then"
2). She said she doesn't want white men in government no matter how good they are... way to appeal to all the white male working class conservatives
3). She openly admits she doesn't believe in any conservative ideals, and she's a pure socialist. Why vote for a socialist with 'conservative clothing' when you can just vote conservative (and mogg.. cmon, easy choice).

These are simpy not present in this Labour representative. Such qualities do not derive from being an old Etonian, but from being a humble person. Having found numerous possible voters, the so called best of Yardley could only come up with questioning why they didnt still vote labour given thier backround or upbringing. Rees-Mogg is a rare example of a man of character unspoilt by his privileged background, quite unlike "Call me Dave" Cameron.

Seriously ? I mean, I like Moog, he serves a purpose in the right of the party, but Cameron is more appealing to the swing voter in marginals.

Cameron will always be infamous for his championing of same-sex "marriage", and its shameful legalisation. Which is the equivalent of approving of homosexuality itself. He's a disgrace. So pleased he's out of office now.

      Tim Gingell
I am expressing my view on the issue, which I am perfectly entitled to do. We used to live in a society which valued free speech and protected it, but not anymore. Your response shows why.
The left are all for tolerance except when they don't agree with an opposing view. Then they either vilify it and /or attempt to silence the person via the oppressive climate of political correctness, where everyone is expected to conform to the official line. Well sorry, but this is not a police state ( yet ) though the way things are heading it inevitably will be.
God however, will soon be sorting out this evil immorally corrupt world, and all those who seek to maintain it. And that day can't come soon enough.

@@pragmaticamente4734 Well she supports Keir Starmer, who is a communist, and according to communist the "Capitalism was invented by the Jewish Menace" line is easy to point out.
So she probably is an antisemite, as far as im aware she's never stated shes a socialist, but she has stated she's anti Capitalist Free Market.
So either she's pro, Feudalistic Economy, Where all wealth is monopolised by 1% upper class nobility and 1% Middle class Trading Families, which capitalism existed specifically to remove.
She's an Anarchist, in which case Anti terrorism should probably be notified.
or she's a Socialist, like the Fascists and communists, or even a Nazi, in all 3 cases of which she'd blame the jews for wealth distribution, so claiming her to be Antisemetic is a logical conclusion.
She might not be, but with the Labor parties trend of hiring psycho Marxist weirdoes into their ranks. she probably is antisemetic.
