I just rejoined the ring-ding club and bought an old KDX last week. Even though it's just a 200, my T levels rose 100 points the first time I opened the power valve. BRAAP to you, sir....Carry on.
That was such a solid trade for a 230! Im an E series 200 guy and have been wanting an H someday. I have a 94 and previously had a 92. A couple of the FB pages for these are super active. KDXs are awesome. I would say they can be cheap occasionally but have shot way up in overall value. Cool video! Dont forget to keep an eye on those KIPS valves!!!
great video. took my 99 yz250 to tahuyah technical trails and was wet af when i went. might have to hit capitol when i got time off soon while its more dry. great tire tips!
Good video and nice job on your KDX, it came out looking GREAT! Sweet score finding the new headlight plastic? Where did you get so lucky? I know that is a hard OEM part to find. I finally found a 2004 KDX200 for my son a few weeks ago. There are good ones out there but you have to know what to look for and run away from the clapped ones. I kind of want to get one for myself, but I am leaning towards a 250x Yammie. I guess we'll see. Had a Beta 300RR before that and a million other bikes since I'm older, but I don't know, there is just some special about a Japanese 2stroke, they are just good. I'm going to subscribe as well, I know what it's like to be a smaller channel. I mostly do SxS riding out in WV and Michigan, but will be doing more dirt bike stuff now that my kid is interested.
@@BarnStangz thanks for watching man! And I searched eBay for weeks until I found a brand new one. There are still some out there. You might get lucky! So rad you and your kid can ride together. That’s the dream! Good luck with your videos as well!
A couple more videos like this and you'll have a large healthy youtube channel, amazing work! Btw if you want to spice up your background I highly recommend buying a light strip from BTF Lighting, they have the best and most fun light strips out there! Just pair it with WLED on an ESP32 and you can controll it with infinite cutomization and even real animations! If you're interested there's plenty of WLED tutorials on UA-cam Sorry for making this sound like advertisement lol
Just got done racing my restored 1996 KDX last weekend, beat a lot of 2020+ orange things. One guy did over 1200 hours on a top end, they don't make em like this anymore
@@kyleransom4929 once in Tennessee about a mile from the campsite. We rode it home flat and changed at camp. Been lucky so far! In both of our 300’s we’re rocking mouses now so I don’t have to worry about it. Thanks for watching!
I stripped mine down to the frame, all new chassis bearings, repaint , new plastics, new cables, hoses, replate cylinder, etc. But I gotta ask, where did you get those graphics? Those are awesome!!
Awesome dude! I couldn't break the bank too much on this one but maybe one day the KDX will really get the love it deserves. I worked with REV designs out of NM to make a custom set of retro graphics for this bike. Use code "EB15" for 15% off. I found out about them from a guy who's instagram is "Enduro Builds" awesome page and awesome graphics company. Thanks for watching!
Love the older 2 strokes. Solid, simple, fun.
Subbed.
@@MD72501 totally agree! Thanks for watching man!
Nice! I love my little DR350 but one day I'd like to experience a 2 stroke on some single track

Thanks for the love man. Those E series bikes are more rad and retro IMO! I always thought the blue seat and fork boots were so cool looking.
Probably the best video on the internet.
