I had a fellow member of the Virtual USA Flying Club (www.discord.gg/hutMwWR) ask for a demonstration of how a pilot calculates weight and balance on an aircraft. Therefore, I decided to make a video on how we do it in the real world using a Cessna 172N as the example with the aircraft's POH.
This video should help both those that are pursuing a private, sport, or recreational pilot certificate and also those that fly virtually with a flight sim.
Download the 172N POH pdf I used in the video here: drive.google.com/open?id=172s...

At first I was intimidated by weight and balance, but after watching your video I feel good. Very well explained! Thanks a lot
Doing schoolwork and this came up, big help to see it run through in action, thanks!

Great video. Only thing you missed is why the center of gravity is important for a safe flight in an airplane. Thanks
Wanted to keep it towards calculations only
great video! I have my checkride coming up next week and needed a refresher on this. Thanks a bunch!

Going to start my private pilot training and I have lots of homework before I start. This is one of the many items I needed to know how to do before I start my training.

Can i know the safety precaution?
How about the oil of the engine? I will or not will be included on the computation?
oil can be figured in already in the gross weight or it will have its own place in the moment/weight/arm...it depends on what the POH says
Thank you so much!

It's not clear when you zoom to the tablet or iPad 😢
Clear for everyone else so tried my best. If you get the PDF file of the POH, you can follow along
@@EricFlight where do I get the PDF?
@@shaheerpmrs9777 just search for Cessna 172 POH PDF on Google and some should pop up
