    I had a fellow member of the Virtual USA Flying Club (www.discord.gg/hutMwWR) ask for a demonstration of how a pilot calculates weight and balance on an aircraft. Therefore, I decided to make a video on how we do it in the real world using a Cessna 172N as the example with the aircraft's POH.
    This video should help both those that are pursuing a private, sport, or recreational pilot certificate and also those that fly virtually with a flight sim.
    Download the 172N POH pdf I used in the video here: drive.google.com/open?id=172s...

    Please note that I am not a certified flight instructor. I am a real world private pilot merely sharing my knowledge with others in the flight sim and real world flying communities. Please get instruction from a certified flight instructor if you want to fly.

    Great video. Only thing you missed is why the center of gravity is important for a safe flight in an airplane. Thanks

    Going to start my private pilot training and I have lots of homework before I start. This is one of the many items I needed to know how to do before I start my training.

    How about the oil of the engine? I will or not will be included on the computation?

    • @EricFlight
      @EricFlight  2 роки тому +1

      oil can be figured in already in the gross weight or it will have its own place in the moment/weight/arm...it depends on what the POH says
