This was VERY helpful! I just received mine today and I thought the power cord was bad. Turns out I wasn't pushing the usb connector in hard enough to "snap" in. Also, my instructions had nothing on how to access the pad. I was afraid I was going to break it. Your video was more helpful than the instructions I got.👍

Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

@@TomLeeman Not sure what you mean by "plugged into block". Is that a term for plug the power cable into a power source? Either way, the fan in the unit will not work. I got a dud in that regard. The other problem I had with this unit is that after being on for 10-15 minutes, the power plug got so hot that I needed a potholder to unplug it from the wall. There's no way it's not a fire hazard. I've already returned it to the store for a refund.

My cord didn’t snap and my water doesn’t bubble like yours. Nor does it vibrate like yours 🙁 watched this hoping I did something wrong or forgot a step & I didn’t … it’s just not a great product I guess. The air isn’t cold and I froze mine, as well as put ice cubes in the water tray (instruction manual said it was ok) and still no cold air.

Lol. Set the dry cartridge in a bowl of water to soak the sponges. Freezing the cartridge or adding "iced" water is not necessary; but cold tap water. The machine works as a "evaporative air cooler" and will work on high properly (if filled with water), up to 8 hours, 10 on medium, and 12 on low. Did you get the instruction manual with your unit? You stated this wouldn't work longer than the cartridge remained frozen. That's not the case. 🤔
