I own 07 lr3 at first i wasnt thinking of tire carrier but I bought a Terrafirm rock sliders easy fit now I think I will buy the same one you have , I click on link said page no longer found but Atlantic British has them , I said i wasn't going to go too far on building my lr3 but that went out window I bought the black rhino arsenal rim 18inch matedto mickey Thompson baja legend A/T 275x65x18 full front runner roofrack pass on light bar for 4 compact 400 hella offroad lights thinking about front runner drawer system , or the slide out box system , I bought the 3in/2.5 Johnson rods , but I may pass on F/R drawers to use fold down seat as bed. Instead of rooftop tent but if I do buy rooftop it be hard shell by ikamper but I do like your carrier
Yeah. I know some guys who have it installed. The Terrafirma feels a lot more sturdy. Also keeps the wheel parallel to the truck, whereas the voyager unit keeps the wheel at an angle. I think the Terrafirma is a better design with better quality.
It was before I added the rear tire cover. I hated having to touch a dirty tire/wheel every time I wanted to get into the trunk. But now it's just a slight hinderance, not enough to bother me anymore. Just part of the trunk opening process! Just sucks that I need two hands. I should've plastidipped the handle as well, because it is a bit jagged and I've heard a few coats of plastidip makes it easier to use.
Around the lights are guards that are supposed to protect the lights from debris which could crack the lenses (although I put it on for aesthetic purposes). There is a hidden recovery point in the back (hidden by a piece of plastic trim), as well as a recovery point on the front end where my winch hook is clasped on to.
Really nice video - been eyeing a tire carrier for my LR4 (just got new set of wheels on it and have quite a whiles to go with my modifications). Frontrunner used to have a tire carrier like that (now discontinued) and am glad I bumped into your video! Keep the content coming - happy new year.
Thanks! Having spoken to a Land Rover off-road shop about both the Terrafirma unit and the Front Runner one, they felt that the Terrafirma product is a better choice overall. Of course, it's the only option as the Front Runner is pretty much impossible to get, but I believe they are very similar.
Hi mate, looking to get one of these carriers, it looks great and thank you for the review, very informative. have you had any other issues at all since fitting, i do worry a bit about the sensor and camera issues you spoke about, cheers Jase
Actually, I was able to solve the sensor issue by adding a tire cover! There are no real camera issues since I fixed the parking sensors, I know they're set to be pretty conservative so I won't back into anything.
Great gear and well designed without excessive weight and size!
Suits an overland style rig
Deffo need one of these on my D4
it looks like you have installed a winch! could you talk more about that? Love the content!!!!
Great looking LR4! I plan on similar mods, including the wheels, tire carrier, but also a Gobi Stealth rack & ladder on order.
Looks very 😎 indeed
Let's see a video about thoes new LR wheels

Does it ever get annoying/tiring having to swing the tire out every time you need to get something from the trunk?
Nice setup! I like the rear spare swing arm. May I ask you where do you have it done? What’s the name of the shop?
What Apple car play modification did you go with? Do you recommend for my 2016 LR4? Thank you
Great look mod. I’m also in LA. Do you mind telling me who installed this for you. 2 hours sounds like a fair cost. Thanks.
Who did the install, and does it vibrate, shake or rattle on rough tracks?
Love it!
Can you tell me who did the install for you in Los Angeles. Thanks
Hello love your video man, where did you get that rear wheel cover ? It looks beautiful
Did you look at the voyager option?
Yeah. I know some guys who have it installed. The Terrafirma feels a lot more sturdy. Also keeps the wheel parallel to the truck, whereas the voyager unit keeps the wheel at an angle. I think the Terrafirma is a better design with better quality.
it does look awesome- is it a bit of a pain when getting to the rear hatch? that is the only reason I am hemming and hawing...

What is around the lights?
No handles at the back for pushing or recovery points in the front for towing?

Where did you get that tire cover? It looks so fucking nice!!!
Where can I get that exact cover?!
What tires do you use?

What tire size are you running?
At a guess, 265 65 18.
