- My Cannon “48 Gun Safe” had a stupid and terribly designed rifle rack. I made some changes to make it much better, AND it got me wondering…why the hell do we let it slide!?

Totally agree with you ❤ if they say it can hold 42 guns it should hold 42 not 22 lol 😂
I’ve got a cannon 72 gun safe. 64 long guns and 8 handguns. It won’t fit anything close to 64. I like what you did to redo their shelf. And I agree they should be a lot more honest about the amount of guns that it will actually hold.

Thanks for your honesty and opinion. I’m in the market for a larger safe for the same reasons. My 16 gun safe is full. I do like your barrel keepers as well.
For the price, this safe was a steal in my opinion. If I could have afforded a nicer one, I would have gotten one, but I couldn’t so I didn’t LoL.

If you lay the safe on its back, disassemble all your guns and dump the parts in, you can fit the advertised amount, if not more😂

Funny thing about the Mosins is that they are worse than most as being a bolt action,they’re wider in the rack!
I have several mosins and Enfields and they take up more room than most modern rifles.
Rifle rods will help
I am very interested to see if your rack worked out and you were able to get 22 long guns in there????
The very first row is able to hold any firearm that doesn’t have an optic or anything like that. Otherwise the door will push up against it and keep it from closing. I’m actually thinking about cutting those holds a little bit deeper.
I have this same safe and am very happy with it. Definitely will NOT hold 48 guns. Like pre-fabbed chicken coops, gun safes never hold as many as they say the will. Not sure where they come up with the sizings! 😂

These safes from box stores are made in China. The drywall in that safe has nasty chemicals that can cause corrosion and damage. The glue holding the carpet stuff has horrible chemicals that destroy and corrodes. I'm looking into libertys safes even there starter safes have plates and relockers and tougher flat military style flat bolts on both sides that are active for 800.00. it's a 24 or 30 made in America and best security for the price.

They list the interior cubic feet/dimensions of safes for a reason. That's how you tell how many it will hold. those figures of how many guns the makers toss around are just for the people unable to do the math on their own and yeah they pad the stat a lot cause why wouldnt they?
It’s just funny how we let some marketing things just blatantly lie to us. Kinda like your phone screen won’t break when you hit it with a ball bearing…🙄
