Ebay 30 Series Torque Converter Broke Again

Finding more weak points of eBay / Amazon 30 series torque converters. Engine is a tillotson 212 with intake, exhaust, governor delete, re jet.

Put the juggernaut on.If it rubs on the tire just put spacers on the engine and lift it up a bit and add a link to your chain.Nice looking go karts.

I had no idea that the 30 series torque converters were only rated for 8 horse power. Now i'm wondering if the one on my mini bike that started off life as 6.5 horse power but is now much more than that due to modifications will hold up to all that power. I don't know exactly how much horse power it is now but it's gotta be over 10 i'd imagine. Although i did replace 1 of the torque converter pulleys with an OMB Tork-Zilla so maybe that helps but i dunno. All i do know is that i'm having a heck of a time trying to get the torque converter belt to sit in a straight foward position from 1 pulley wheel to the other. Mines sitting on a slight angle and the belt is fraying on the edges. ⭕-------⭕

The driver seems to be the weak point with higher hp so it sounds like you’ve already taken care of that. I usually have to stack some spacers behind the driver on the crank to get it aligned properly.
