Truthfully speaking after waiting for years and re-watching the precious seasons, as well as tons of reactions to them...I feel so disappointed and cheated on. To the point of not even wanting to see any of the clips from the last season
From the early interviews I thought we were gonna get like a depressed five who was gonna try to keep it together until something finally broke him. This five wasn’t really what I wanted to see, i mean it’s nice that he was happy for a bit but I think they could have done something else with it than that whole cheating arc.

She literally told him she wanted a break because you clearly tell they were both unhappy and if you were stuck FOR 7 WHOLE YEARS you’re gonna connect with the person ur stuck with. Hence Lila didn’t cheat technically because they were on a break. Plus the only thing they did was kiss its not like they did the devils tango.

I liked that he was calmer and sweeter this season, it makes sense since he wasn’t in the fight or flight stress of the apocalypse, but the Lila thing was too weird and out of character for me
Same thought here too, last season he was all about being an old guy and settling down but this season bro is stressing himself almost like working with the handler again🤔🤨

@@jaydas8976 both the irl actors age AND the character ages. After the 7 year time skip, his body would’ve been a young adult but he’s consciously just 70 years old. (Before the 7 year time skip, there was a 5 (?) year time skip..so he’s even older)
he finally grew up...this time around people and gaining social skills..remember the other five spent 60 years isolated and days on end trying to stop apocalypses..the only social interaction he ever had was with the handler. it makes sense why his personality changed. for me...the writers really thought of the plot tbh
This season really lacked in plot in my opinion. It never felt like there were any threats. If i were a writer, i wouldve centered the whole season around the "finding out what happened to ben" storyline, but making it more interesting: having all the characters maybe go to the past or something like that. I need someone to write an alternate season 4 so bad XD
Think about it, season one to three Five was under pressure every single moment without respite. When we rejoyn him he had five years to calm down. Season four is far away from being good, with all the plotholes left and right, weird characterisations, underused guest stars, that ultra short runtime... but there were moments that I genuinely laughed, and that's good enough for me.

Because he’s never actually been around normal people or a normal environment before so he would have been struggling to adapt the most. And honestly I refuse to believe that he managed to get a job at the cia and live by himself for six years because of this, pretty Impressive but still.
@@Kay72487he was a groan ass man who survived an apocalypse for 45 years and then worked for the commission as a trained assassin. You don’t think he could have survived on his own for a few years. You must still live in your parent’s basement and not have any idea how normal people work. If someone can survive the apocalypse I’m sure they can figure out how to pay rent.
Five seems way too different this season. Plus the lila arc was not required. Sure they must've wanted five to have his own side plot, but falling in love with his sister in law is totally against even his morals. This just brought more tension between the trio before the end happened. They all deserved a much more beautiful ending.
@@Nxshhhhh nah bro. The overall ending ruined the whole series 😂 That entire Lila thing could have easily been resolved if Five manned up and took the fall saying he forced Lila. It would have been a lie but it would have absolutely absolved her for Diego.

Honestly this five fits because up until season 3 five had like 3 weeks or something.. But season 4 happens after like 6 years, dude had time to relax for real this time ofc he is more calm and soft
Basically. He even states early s3 he spent about the last ~10 days trying to save the world twice. He gets to relax for two days and then he’s trying to uncover the kugelblitz.
Five doesn’t even feel any remorse or guilt for sleeping with his brother’s wife… instead he acted as the victim by getting rejected by Lila (super out of character) I just think it’s all so absurd. Diego had every right to hate them. It’s crazy to me how he somewhat forgives them in the end.
I would like to point out they never said they slept together a lot of people are assuming that happened but there isn’t any evidence or indication that’s what their relationship was about. I think it was more of a talking relationship unlike what Diego and Lila had.

Don’t get me wrong,I loved Five’s character arc in season 1-3. But I also do really love the portrayal of Five in season 4. Five always had to deal with an impending crisis. And for the first time without powers (6 years after the reset) we get to see a version of Five who gets to just live life with no responsibilities of powers. I think it’s nice to see how much everyone changed after the fact!
A Five moment I really liked was when Luther gets mad at Ben because the Marigold almost cost him his job and Five goes “Did it?” You can see Luther about to retort because he thinks it’s an insult, but then he realizes Five is being sincere. Five was finally able to have non-life-threatening conversations with his siblings and care about the mundanity of life and there weren’t a lot of those moments besides that specific one, but it stood out to me. I think it makes sense for Five to be calmer this season - after all, he mentioned that he never liked the work he did for the Commission, and even though he’s powerless, there also isn’t an apocalyptic threat for 6 years. Which to me makes his joining the CIA a little out of left field (though I guess believable - he gets access to info to help him keep tabs on possible apocalypses) and Klaus’s accusation of him being a chaos junkie a little unwarranted. That being said, there were also very non-Five moments.
Why can't Five be that soft? Guys, he's not a teen anymore, he finally is an old man in a young adult body without puberty and all that stuff, OF COURSE he's gonna be different and MORE RELAXED (more or less, since he is an agent and keeps watching).

I think Five this season was amazing. It showed that his character grew. I didn’t mind the whole Lila and Five thing. Seeing his character finally happy was amazing. He definitely deserves that. I think if there would have been more episodes they could have explored Five and Lila journey more and we got see them develop feelings.
I wish we got more psychotic five this season like season 2 and 1, at least a slaughter scene, like every other season, but unfortunately we didn’t, I just feel like the characters did pointless side quests the entire time and wasted the running Time they had.
Im not sure why no one thinks this doesnt feel like Five? yes its not the same five but hes still irritable and snarky, just in a more nuanced way. Less explosive. I mean theyve been sitting for years without powers plus!! the teenage angst is gone! of course hed mellow out. Hes an old man yall. I think hes hot as fuck like this LMFAO The Lila thing is a BIT off though. I dont understand the subplot, but I didnt mind it too much because we got to see more of a soft Five. But you could literally remove that whole thing and the season would be the exact same. It really added nothing and I wish they written something else.

So 6 years or something has passed since season 3 (actually close to 7 considering Grace's age) then Five spent 7 years lost with Lila - 14 years will change a person especially since he was with the family he kept trying to save for 6 years and he wasn't alone for the 7 years he was with Lila. Lila is actually sane with Five compared to Diego who she has to mother, Diego was her protest boyfriend against her adoptive mother. Lila and Diego's relationship was like a firework. It's actually good they ended the way they did and they didn't have to unpack it all. Lila was a mix of Reginald and Grace (their robo mom) she fit Diego's mommy issues.

And Diego was hesitant to even be with Lila when she was pregnant. He ask her “can I think about it” rather than “absolutely I will help you I love you” meanwhile Five would have probably been like “yes” because the WHOLE ENTIRE SERIES he was trying to save his family. I really liked this season. It’s not as charming as the others but I enjoyed it. Five has just grown up and I think all those years spent without the apocalypse lurching on his back has made him be calm and much more clear headed He’s also 63 now and by the end of the season in 70 in a 25 year olds body
I agree, it was nice to see our favourite characters back on screen for one final time. While it seemed rushed, in the end, at least they got a conclusive ending.
Yup I honestly liked seeing him calmer. I interpreted it as him not being super stressed and older and tired of all the things he went through. Just wanting to be at peace.
he's in the body of a 15 year old boy actually, he doesn't age his comic version has it worse, he's stuck as a 10 year old who looks like a toddler in size (the art is so weird)

From what I understood season 1-3 passed in a matter of weeks for Five. He was constantly agitated, frustrated, and stressed out after being back in his young body and having to deal with all of the world-ending stuff. In season 4 we see Five after 6 years or so of him not having any powers and adjusting to the monotony and normalcy of every day life with a job in the CIA. It's understandable that we wouldn't see him as high-strung and restless this season. He's calmer and more level-headed. He's still sarcastic and grumpy at times, but he has a little more patience and grace for his siblings. I don't think that's a bad thing. I found the Five x Lila arc to be surprising, but I didn't hate it. I don't endorse cheating but it's totally believable to me that after being stuck with 7 years for someone, surviving, not knowing if you'll ever make it home to see your family, you can develop feelings. I only wish the show creators gave the characters more time to address the relationship between Diego x Lila x Five at the end of the show. The way things ended felt a little rushed and unresolved.
Plus you have to think about how that was the first time he actually experienced love in the physical sense. I mean yeah, he had Delores and I love her to bits but it was so sad and with Lila, it felt more real. I still think that whole part with them two kissing was very weird tho 😬 I’m just glad we didn’t see Five pull a Dr. Sam Beckett, that would’ve been more painful
All characters felt so different this Season. Its almost like they forgotten who these characters really are. This last Season just doesn’t feel like it’s the continuation of the 3 previous seasons. Why are the final seasons of so many series just a flop these days.
4:14 is right, I felt gross watching the thing between Lila and Five, couldn’t finish this season, and don’t even want it spoiled because I just don’t want to see where this goes. I might just pretend this season doesn’t exist.
Five would've never betrayed Diego, he has always cared about his family even when he treated them rudely, he showed to always want to protect them. They should've made Five and Lila have a good sibling bond instead of a romantic relationship, it feels too weird.
They completely ruined Five and Lila this season by making them romantic, the whole five and Lila thing is so out of character for them. Five would never betray Diego like that, and Lila would never cheat on Diego. The writers really messed up everything
I think his character was due for a bit of growth and maturing. He sorta accepted his fate, and I appreciate how calmer he was with his siblings at the beginning of this season. Where I think they messed up is the whole 7 years with Lila. I can see how and why he’d fall in love with her, and I’m not upset it happened, but I do agree with what others have said-he wouldn’t have easily “given in” and kissed Lila like that without thinking of his brother. There was some inner turmoil missing there. The siblings are known for betraying each other but also saving and loving each other. If Five betrayed his brother-fine! But give him a chance to feel guilty, apologize and or repent! Something! It all just happened so fast and it meant that Five didn’t get to make it up to Diego, or get to hear Lila tell him she loved him.
*Five's is always the one trying to Fix the Timeline and this season he finds the answer to put an End. I wouldn't mind this Version of himself considering how little he had experience in the present & no time for himself (Finding Happiness).I also LOVE his Crazy/Serious side when* *S**T* *Needs to get Done.*
i’m even okay with five not being like the leader trying to stop the apocalypse (imo i think he gave up really easy and didn’t try to find another alternative to saving the world) but the “romance” with lila?? that was rlly off, i always wanted the writers to give five a love interest but not his sister in law come onnnn this was terrible
I understand a lot of people here, I too wasn’t a fan of the whole five and Lila thing. But I feel like people are also forgetting just how long 7 years is without interacting with anyone accept for each other. Not justifying cheating of course, but deer lord they went through so much to survive for 7 YEARS.
ok i haven't watched the show yet but have been spoiled about five and lila's relationship... like i *get* that five wanted to keep lila, given how this is the first *real* relationship he ever had, and love *can* make people irrational, even a genius assassin like five who only ever cared about objectivity and saving the world from apocalypses. HOWEVER, we have to consider the fact that five's character is built around the love he has for his family, and realistically, he would NEVER betray diego like that. by all means, five is not such a good brother but surely he'd rather kill himself than sleep with his brother's wife. he'd never let his emotions get to the worst of him just from 7 years of being stuck in a timeline, and mind you this is the same man who had survived 45 YEARS in an apocalypse. what were the writers thinking? from watching this, calm five is quite alright, it makes sense why he'd appear more exhausted. i honestly prefer him better this way, he's soft but still keeps his sassiness. the writers just had to massacre the plot by making him a third party, like holy f-ck, never would i have expected that FIVE HARGREEVES of all people would end up as a side piece to a married woman.
I'm so confused about what were the fans expecting? Like, technically there's no apocalypse, and there hasn't been one for 6 years, and even if it were to be an apocalypse, Five has no powers, so it's not like there's something he can do about it. He's gonna be different, this is not OOC, it's just growth. It happens, even if we don't see it much these days in media because everything keeps getting cancelled. I don't see anybody complaining about Sober Klaus.
i do like the idea of Five learning how to live an ordinary life and falling in love.. but not with his brothers wife lol. if they wanted him to have a romance so bad, why not create something new?? Hell, what if he met a real-life Dolores in one of the other timelines?? like there are so many more interesting and fitting options than just him and lila...
*I like this version of Five, he never gets a moment to be more calmer when he was in the Apocalypse time. Plus, he gets to have a Little bit of Romance and he never showed his actual emotions towards his Family. He had to be always serious and an* *A**Whole to everyone plus He's the Smartest Person & Skilled Assassin (Lila is Second).*
I wanna believe that the five in s4 is a doppelganger.when Lila was wiping his face in the scene when they were in a disguise,I expected five to say something like “If you don’t get your hands of my face i’ll kill you”. But instead he said nothing. it was soo disappointing 😩
Maybe if Five finds the journal to go back first, then almost kisses Lila and they stop, then reveals the way home it would've been better. They can feel the dread of going back to an apocalypse but he can feel remorse for almost betraying Diego, Lila can realise how much she loves and misses Diego and her kids, and they can confidently say nothing that crossed a line happened. Lila and Five were never meant to be romantic. They have a history with the Handler and he assasinated her family back in the day, but they worked and bonded well ultimately because they both loved Diego. Five even said "Lila's no idiot" when Diego was worried about her being unfaithful, I don't see why they couldn't they let his word stand. Five wanted to retire last season and I get why he would be soft and apathetic, but he still loves his family and it would've been nice to feel that love when the world ended this season.

I liked season 4. I liked the Five and Lila thing. I mean they were alone for 7 years, just each other they were bound to bond. Did I expect 5 to actually love her? No. But I enjoyed the last season. I wish they could have gotten a happier ending but at least they all went out together.
I think Five's arc had potential but honestly people saying of course he's not going to be as wild as he was before I agree but I also think Five had always had attitude and spunk. whether he was stabbing an innocent dining room table as a kid, arguing with himself as a 58 year old or Delores for that matter, or whatever age, Five had spunk and it's fine he started out without any at the beginning of s4 but even with Lila he never got that spark to him back and THAT is a shame. Nope, I shipped them for the longest time and was super excited when I saw them kiss… for the actors I feel bad because it was probably super awkward, but Five and Lila was cute
the only thing I liked in season 4 was the relationship between Lila and five i shipped them since season 3 and i hated Netflix for not making a proper storyline for them if they gave them time and don't rush it, it would have been cuter but it was all in one episode they got lost they liked each other and then they returned back home so it was weird for people
They really made him an entirely different, less interesting character. I miss my abraisive old man who secretly loved his family. Now hes less abraisive and less loving. It felt like bad fanfic.
yall forget that five was basically still a kid after all those years..physically and mentally he was an adult but socially...the only social skills he had was with a mannequin and with the handler. Fyi : this is six years later. where five has had time to grow up and become an adult around other living people. Makes sense he changed.

I liked Five this season, he is calmer, more relaxed and even more human, he has evolved emotionally. I loved seeing the two of them together, the five of them, Laila, I ship this couple, they really have a lot of chemistry, I was already feeling that they were going to have something at the beginning of the episode, because of their smiles, until for the first time we see the five of them smiling, because of the exchange of looks I was already feeling everything they faced and went through together when they kissed people I freaked out with joy I ship this couple a lot to me, she has much more chemistry with Five than with Diego (especially because Diego is the brother I I like it less) especially because Laila wasn't happy in that marriage, she wasn't in Diego, they were fighting, she was happier with five, their looks were really beautiful, I thought it was really cute, the two of them together or five of them in love, people, I never thought I'd live to see the five in love with him kissing Laila saying he just wants to please her the look in his eyes in love with her she with him him calling her love so cute this scene so like I didn't wish he had left that timeline for me that could having stayed there watching them happy, and he also deserves love after everything he suffered in life, he went through to save his family and get trapped in the apocalypse, first time in four seasons that we saw the happy five, hey guys, I don't care if Whoever didn't like it, whoever hated it won't change my opinion, I ship Laila and I five her in my heart, I wish she had stayed in that timeline together Not to mention that their relationship is not toxic, it was a healthy relationship, we see the beautiful and cute way that Five treats Laila and she is also happy, I ship Five e Laila ❤️(People are complaining that Lila cheated on Diego but her marriage was unhappy, she herself said she wanted some time to reevaluate her marriage, she said it herself, and another five and Diego They never got along, they only had a few moments because most of the time they were fighting, I love Cinco, I liked seeing him with Laila, I don't care if most people hated it, they thought it was nothing to watch. I get such a kick out of everybody understanding where the writers come from with regard to characters that are fictional. They lost all their powers. That’s what defined them six years later they get their powers back but they’re kind of Hinky. Another crisis and another apocalypse. Part of the story is Lila and five doing their blink thing and trying to go figure something out on how to fix it. They did this in other seasons as well. Of course they didn’t get lost for seven years. I’m not sure about you, but I’m sure that two people lost for seven years and only have each other might just want some human comfort. Falling in love, sure why not sometimes I would presume that would happen and other times it would just be for the sake of survival..
I enjoyed this season! People change. I understand people don't like how, but the characters were very comforting and also funny. Are they anything like season 1? No. But I enjoyed it still. Anyone else like me? I only read bad reviews
Also about the five and lila: I dont know how it is to be alone on the world for 7 years so I'm not gonna judge them tbh. That Diego forgave him makes sense since its maybe sad to cease to exist with a grudge? Maybe he did it for himself.
It was great to see Five in a different role, finally thinking about himself, finally as a human not a killer machine. He always had to take everything on his shoulders alone. Diego was too boring and stupid for charming, intelligent Lila. She has much more in common with Five and their chemistry is undeniable and it was visible since the previous season. So I can understand the move and honestly I wanted to see romantic Five, previously he got a clothes dummy for 45 years of loneliness. People are shitting on season 4 because they hate feeling of being cheated and "oh my god how the marriage can be a mistake?! In real life people never split!" She wasn't happy with Diego, so she has a right to fall in love again in someone who fits her better. Glad to see this!

They turned our cheeky little horseman of the apocalyspse who was ready to blow up the timeline to save his family into the guy that slept with his brother's wife before giving up and getting erased from existence for the good of the "correct" timeline.
to this day i find it very weird about the lila x five part. I'm not against him having a happy moments but he literally comfort diego about their relationship so it's like him stabbing Diego's back. yes five and lila have the great chemistry but not to the point falling in love, lila basically dating a 99 year old granpa if you count how long

tbh, the timeline of season 4 didnt need to end. everything was fine until Abigail decided to screw it up. everyone could've lived happily in this timeline.

i kind of like relaxed five. instead of 3 weeks of mulitple apocolyses after 20 years of being alone, 20 years of being a time hitman,. 6 years of no powers and a normal life with much lower stakes. kind of neat he relaxes. But. also makes sense his young body messes with his mind a bit after being tense and timeywhimy insanity. DIslike the romance though. But 7 years is more than enough time for someone to move on, more so assuming that a timeline probably also would've ended in the coming apooclypse and likely death. honestly they had friendly flirting previous seasons too. I think if they had had diego and her break up over the 6 years between seasons off panel. I think that would've been a perfectly fine plot line, They could've had that, then when they returned they could've skipped out on the dub fight and no make up. Diego could've been butt hurt but i think it would've been fine. Hell... Lila is the only one he's realy explained that he wanted retirement. they both have a whole converation about how neither arer chil enough for a long time. romance would've made sense if they had just not had the marriage plot line

She literally told him she wanted a break because you clearly tell they were both unhappy and if you were stuck FOR 7 WHOLE YEARS you’re gonna connect with the person ur stuck with. Hence Lila didn’t cheat technically because they were on a break. Plus the only thing they did was kiss its not like they did the devils tango.

I liked that he was calmer and sweeter this season, it makes sense since he wasn’t in the fight or flight stress of the apocalypse, but the Lila thing was too weird and out of character for me

This season really lacked in plot in my opinion. It never felt like there were any threats.
If i were a writer, i wouldve centered the whole season around the "finding out what happened to ben" storyline, but making it more interesting: having all the characters maybe go to the past or something like that.

Think about it, season one to three Five was under pressure every single moment without respite. When we rejoyn him he had five years to calm down.
Season four is far away from being good, with all the plotholes left and right, weird characterisations, underused guest stars, that ultra short runtime... but there were moments that I genuinely laughed, and that's good enough for me.

Five seems way too different this season. Plus the lila arc was not required. Sure they must've wanted five to have his own side plot, but falling in love with his sister in law is totally against even his morals. This just brought more tension between the trio before the end happened. They all deserved a much more beautiful ending.

Five doesn’t even feel any remorse or guilt for sleeping with his brother’s wife… instead he acted as the victim by getting rejected by Lila (super out of character) I just think it’s all so absurd. Diego had every right to hate them. It’s crazy to me how he somewhat forgives them in the end.
I would like to point out they never said they slept together a lot of people are assuming that happened but there isn’t any evidence or indication that’s what their relationship was about. I think it was more of a talking relationship unlike what Diego and Lila had.

Don’t get me wrong,I loved Five’s character arc in season 1-3. But I also do really love the portrayal of Five in season 4. Five always had to deal with an impending crisis. And for the first time without powers (6 years after the reset) we get to see a version of Five who gets to just live life with no responsibilities of powers. I think it’s nice to see how much everyone changed after the fact!
It’s still a bad season overall tbh
A Five moment I really liked was when Luther gets mad at Ben because the Marigold almost cost him his job and Five goes “Did it?”
You can see Luther about to retort because he thinks it’s an insult, but then he realizes Five is being sincere. Five was finally able to have non-life-threatening conversations with his siblings and care about the mundanity of life and there weren’t a lot of those moments besides that specific one, but it stood out to me.
I think it makes sense for Five to be calmer this season - after all, he mentioned that he never liked the work he did for the Commission, and even though he’s powerless, there also isn’t an apocalyptic threat for 6 years. Which to me makes his joining the CIA a little out of left field (though I guess believable - he gets access to info to help him keep tabs on possible apocalypses) and Klaus’s accusation of him being a chaos junkie a little unwarranted.
That being said, there were also very non-Five moments.
I also think he went to the CIA because it was the only job where he wouldn't be bored out of his mind.
I think he wanted structure still. and that was a paid job with work hours and not well powers
Why can't Five be that soft? Guys, he's not a teen anymore, he finally is an old man in a young adult body without puberty and all that stuff, OF COURSE he's gonna be different and MORE RELAXED (more or less, since he is an agent and keeps watching).

I think Five this season was amazing. It showed that his character grew. I didn’t mind the whole Lila and Five thing. Seeing his character finally happy was amazing. He definitely deserves that. I think if there would have been more episodes they could have explored Five and Lila journey more and we got see them develop feelings.

So 6 years or something has passed since season 3 (actually close to 7 considering Grace's age) then Five spent 7 years lost with Lila - 14 years will change a person especially since he was with the family he kept trying to save for 6 years and he wasn't alone for the 7 years he was with Lila. Lila is actually sane with Five compared to Diego who she has to mother, Diego was her protest boyfriend against her adoptive mother. Lila and Diego's relationship was like a firework. It's actually good they ended the way they did and they didn't have to unpack it all. Lila was a mix of Reginald and Grace (their robo mom) she fit Diego's mommy issues.

He ask her “can I think about it” rather than “absolutely I will help you I love you” meanwhile Five would have probably been like “yes” because the WHOLE ENTIRE SERIES he was trying to save his family. He loves them so much that if it came to a kid it would be the same… sorry, I had to get that off of my chest

I really liked this season. It’s not as charming as the others but I enjoyed it. Five has just grown up and I think all those years spent without the apocalypse lurching on his back has made him be calm and much more clear headed
He’s also 63 now and by the end of the season in 70 in a 25 year olds body

From what I understood season 1-3 passed in a matter of weeks for Five. He was constantly agitated, frustrated, and stressed out after being back in his young body and having to deal with all of the world-ending stuff. In season 4 we see Five after 6 years or so of him not having any powers and adjusting to the monotony and normalcy of every day life with a job in the CIA. It's understandable that we wouldn't see him as high-strung and restless this season. He's calmer and more level-headed. He's still sarcastic and grumpy at times, but he has a little more patience and grace for his siblings. I don't think that's a bad thing.
I found the Five x Lila arc to be surprising, but I didn't hate it. I don't endorse cheating but it's totally believable to me that after being stuck with 7 years for someone, surviving, not knowing if you'll ever make it home to see your family, you can develop feelings. I only wish the show creators gave the characters more time to address the relationship between Diego x Lila x Five at the end of the show. The way things ended felt a little rushed and unresolved.
Plus you have to think about how that was the first time he actually experienced love in the physical sense. I mean yeah, he had Delores and I love her to bits but it was so sad and with Lila, it felt more real. I still think that whole part with them two kissing was very weird tho 😬 I’m just glad we didn’t see Five pull a Dr. Sam Beckett, that would’ve been more painful
All characters felt so different this Season. Its almost like they forgotten who these characters really are. This last Season just doesn’t feel like it’s the continuation of the 3 previous seasons. Why are the final seasons of so many series just a flop these days.
4:14 is right, I felt gross watching the thing between Lila and Five, couldn’t finish this season, and don’t even want it spoiled because I just don’t want to see where this goes. I might just pretend this season doesn’t exist.
Five would've never betrayed Diego, he has always cared about his family even when he treated them rudely, he showed to always want to protect them. They should've made Five and Lila have a good sibling bond instead of a romantic relationship, it feels too weird.
They completely ruined Five and Lila this season by making them romantic, the whole five and Lila thing is so out of character for them. Five would never betray Diego like that, and Lila would never cheat on Diego. The writers really messed up everything
I think his character was due for a bit of growth and maturing. He sorta accepted his fate, and I appreciate how calmer he was with his siblings at the beginning of this season. Where I think they messed up is the whole 7 years with Lila. I can see how and why he’d fall in love with her, and I’m not upset it happened, but I do agree with what others have said-he wouldn’t have easily “given in” and kissed Lila like that without thinking of his brother. There was some inner turmoil missing there. The siblings are known for betraying each other but also saving and loving each other. If Five betrayed his brother-fine! But give him a chance to feel guilty, apologize and or repent! Something! It all just happened so fast and it meant that Five didn’t get to make it up to Diego, or get to hear Lila tell him she loved him.
The only true and good Five in this season is the one explaining things in the dinner
*Five's is always the one trying to Fix the Timeline and this season he finds the answer to put an End. I wouldn't mind this Version of himself considering how little he had experience in the present & no time for himself (Finding Happiness).I also LOVE his Crazy/Serious side when* *S**T* *Needs to get Done.*

HOWEVER, we have to consider the fact that five's character is built around the love he has for his family, and realistically, he would NEVER betray diego like that. by all means, five is not such a good brother but surely he'd rather kill himself than sleep with his brother's wife. he'd never let his emotions get to the worst of him just from 7 years of being stuck in a timeline, and mind you this is the same man who had survived 45 YEARS in an apocalypse. what were the writers thinking? from watching this, calm five is quite alright, it makes sense why he'd appear more exhausted. i honestly prefer him better this way, he's soft but still keeps his sassiness. the writers just had to massacre the plot by making him a third party, like holy f-ck, never would i have expected that FIVE HARGREEVES of all people would end up as a side piece to a married woman.

I don't see anybody complaining about Sober Klaus.

Maybe if Five finds the journal to go back first, then almost kisses Lila and they stop, then reveals the way home it would've been better. They can feel the dread of going back to an apocalypse but he can feel remorse for almost betraying Diego, Lila can realise how much she loves and misses Diego and her kids, and they can confidently say nothing that crossed a line happened. Lila and Five were never meant to be romantic. They have a history with the Handler and he assasinated her family back in the day, but they worked and bonded well ultimately because they both loved Diego. Five even said "Lila's no idiot" when Diego was worried about her being unfaithful, I don't see why they couldn't they let his word stand.
Five wanted to retire last season and I get why he would be soft and apathetic, but he still loves his family and it would've been nice to feel that love when the world ended this season.

I loved seeing the two of them together, the five of them, Laila, I ship this couple, they really have a lot of chemistry, I was already feeling that they were going to have something at the beginning of the episode, because of their smiles, until for the first time we see the five of them smiling, because of the exchange of looks I was already feeling everything they faced and went through together when they kissed people I freaked out with joy I ship this couple a lot to me, she has much more chemistry with Five than with Diego (especially because Diego is the brother I I like it less) especially because Laila wasn't happy in that marriage, she wasn't in Diego, they were fighting, she was happier with five, their looks were really beautiful, I thought it was really cute, the two of them together or five of them in love, people, I never thought I'd live to see the five in love with him kissing Laila saying he just wants to please her the look in his eyes in love with her she with him him calling her love so cute this scene so like I didn't wish he had left that timeline for me that could having stayed there watching them happy, and he also deserves love after everything he suffered in life, he went through to save his family and get trapped in the apocalypse, first time in four seasons that we saw the happy five, hey guys, I don't care if Whoever didn't like it, whoever hated it won't change my opinion, I ship Laila and I five her in my heart, I wish she had stayed in that timeline together Not to mention that their relationship is not toxic, it was a healthy relationship, we see the beautiful and cute way that Five treats Laila and she is also happy, I ship Five e Laila ❤️(People are complaining that Lila cheated on Diego but her marriage was unhappy, she herself said she wanted some time to reevaluate her marriage, she said it herself, and another five and Diego They never got along, they only had a few moments because most of the time they were fighting, I love Cinco, I liked seeing him with Laila, I don't care if most people hated it, they thought it was nothing to watch. It won't change my opinion in favor of this couple, their development in one episode was better than Diego and Lila in two seasons anyway I'm Laila and five❤️ When he gives her the bracelet he made saying he just wants to please her, my god, what a beautiful and cute moment ❤️ I love the five

I get such a kick out of everybody understanding where the writers come from with regard to characters that are fictional. They lost all their powers. That’s what defined them six years later they get their powers back but they’re kind of Hinky. Another crisis and another apocalypse. Part of the story is Lila and five doing their blink thing and trying to go figure something out on how to fix it. They did this in other seasons as well. Of course they didn’t get lost for seven years. I’m not sure about you, but I’m sure that two people lost for seven years and only have each other might just want some human comfort. Falling in love, sure why not sometimes I would presume that would happen and other times it would just be for the sake of survival..
I enjoyed this season! People change. I understand people don't like how, but the characters were very comforting and also funny. Are they anything like season 1? No. But I enjoyed it still. Anyone else like me? I only read bad reviews
Also about the five and lila: I dont know how it is to be alone on the world for 7 years so I'm not gonna judge them tbh. That Diego forgave him makes sense since its maybe sad to cease to exist with a grudge? Maybe he did it for himself.

It was great to see Five in a different role, finally thinking about himself, finally as a human not a killer machine. He always had to take everything on his shoulders alone. Diego was too boring and stupid for charming, intelligent Lila. She has much more in common with Five and their chemistry is undeniable and it was visible since the previous season. So I can understand the move and honestly I wanted to see romantic Five, previously he got a clothes dummy for 45 years of loneliness. People are shitting on season 4 because they hate feeling of being cheated and "oh my god how the marriage can be a mistake?! In real life people never split!" She wasn't happy with Diego, so she has a right to fall in love again in someone who fits her better. Glad to see this!
DOESNT matter if he got “ soft” but they completely ruined his character. He didn’t really care about saving the world at all. And they made him girl crazy out if nowhere. Him and Lila wear cute but the rest 😭
They turned our cheeky little horseman of the apocalyspse who was ready to blow up the timeline to save his family into the guy that slept with his brother's wife before giving up and getting erased from existence for the good of the "correct" timeline.

to this day i find it very weird about the lila x five part. I'm not against him having a happy moments but he literally comfort diego about their relationship so it's like him stabbing Diego's back. yes five and lila have the great chemistry but not to the point falling in love, lila basically dating a 99 year old granpa if you count how long

i kind of like relaxed five. instead of 3 weeks of mulitple apocolyses after 20 years of being alone, 20 years of being a time hitman,.
6 years of no powers and a normal life with much lower stakes.
kind of neat he relaxes. But. also makes sense his young body messes with his mind a bit after being tense and timeywhimy insanity.
DIslike the romance though. But 7 years is more than enough time for someone to move on, more so assuming that a timeline probably also would've ended in the coming apooclypse and likely death.
honestly they had friendly flirting previous seasons too. I think if they had had diego and her break up over the 6 years between seasons off panel. I think that would've been a perfectly fine plot line,
They could've had that, then when they returned they could've skipped out on the dub fight and no make up. Diego could've been butt hurt but i think it would've been fine.
Hell... Lila is the only one he's realy explained that he wanted retirement. they both have a whole converation about how neither arer chil enough for a long time.
