Something on pants (dress pants + business casual chinos) is so needed. I've been looking into how to buy clothes right a lot over the last month and feel like I've had the hardest time with pants. There are satisfactory fit guides, but your type of videos detailing the ins and outs of different price ranges and perhaps some specific brands is something I've long looked for but cannot find. The line between machine washable and dry clean only pants for everyday wear is one I am unsure of. From experience with other clothing items, I'm starting to really question if "stretch material, flat front, slim fit" is the way, but it is all I see around. If any commenters have anything of use I'd be happy to hear. Really loving these videos!
I would really like to expand into other clothing realms, though I believe the channel just needs to be a bit bigger in order to afford that expansion and work with some of those brands, so it will be shoes for a little bit more. I've had several requests for videos on trouser fits/styles specifically. For what help I can be, @dapperpassion on Instagram is great style inspiration for trousers and how different kinds of pants can be used for different outfits, everything from casual to business formal. He is from Miami and has a very contemporary, American look. Stuff that you could wear to any average American office and look sharp, but still fit in socially.
Excellent honest review. I have 2 Beckett S. shoes and they are really comfortable. The price is just right for me as I do not need to impress Wall Street type of guys but only to be presentable when going to out with my wife.
Another great review. Thank you for the honest appraisal. For the cost, BS is a great value. I personally am not a fan of Blake Stitched shoes as I think GY and hand welted are more confortable. That being said, you cant beat the price/value mix with this brand. For under $300, this is a great buy for someone who doesnt want to spend more $ or someone just venturing into better made dress shoes. I hope to see you review other brands such as TLB, Acme, Blazing Wonders, Oct10, Ichigo Ichie, and others. So many amazing brands doing different things at different price points.
Thank you! I don't want to give anything away, but I've got at least one brand in the works I know you'll appreciate seeing covered. Probably a couple months out - you know how lead times are - but it's probably the one video I am most excited for right now.
Hi Everyone, much like my TLB Mallorca review, this is an edit of my existing BS review. No new content here. These Editor's Cuts are intended to provide the same information in a more concise and direct way to provide an equivalent resource to those more time-sensitive, or who have less interest in the tangential discussions or peripheral material my full reviews often feature. More new content is in production and coming soon, including some brands that are often asked about!
Excellent review, I love how much you go into detail. It genuinely gives me the urge to go get my shoes and check out all individual points you said. Could you also review more casual shoes from other brands that are maybe a little more controversial? Like Skolyx or Yanko. I always loved their shoes and people recommended them but its hard for me as a student to know how good these shoes are qualitatively with the lack of indepth reviews about them.
I have bought 4 pairs of BS shoes and I’m happy with all of them. Are they absolutely perfect with no flaws? Of course not. And is the leather the highest quality? No. But they also have little to no break in period. I’m sure that there is no better shoe at that price point and they look as good out in the wild as any AE.
I haven't worn the oxfords yet enough to comment, though I know some have and some have not had the issue, so it seems a little hit or miss. Of the people I know who have owned a pair for a while, they don't seem bad to me.
The last is dull, so that's already a deal breaker, as is the EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) foam and celastic heel. You just can't get decent leather dress shoes for under $400.
I agree with you. The last is not nice and the shoes look cheap. Although U$S400 is a significant sum for me at this stage I would gladly invest them in excellent shoes like TLB from Mallorca. They offer the best ratio of price & quality.
What brands of Handwelted do you own? I think Carlos Santos and TLB are the best value GoodYear welted brands. I own handwelted shoes from Ichigo Ichie, Oct10, Acme, Blazing Wonders, Yearn
I appreciate you!

Perfect timing for one of your videos! Just started shining my shoes!

Wow man what a great review !
Thank you!
Your videos are top tier!!!
Thank you so much!
Do you have or planning to make any reviews on socks?
Any issues with excessive creasing? I own the cohen loafers and love them. However, I have heard their oxfords crease quite excessively

Fantastic information thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Can you make a video of the Gucci Dress Shoes that are about $980 dollars please 🙏🏽

Let’s go!!!
Thanks Ritchie!
Could you please do a breakdown of Allen Edmonds next?
It's a few videos away, but this one is absolutely happening in the next few months.
for me, its hand welt or bust. however, this is a good brand for men that buy their shoes for 100$ or less and then toss it
