The best podcast mixed I’ve ever owned, period!!!! You can add sounds on the board, record podcasts without using a computer or phone, play audio from your smartphone and more. If you want to elevate your podcasts this really is the mixer studio to get and is worth every penny I paid for it. I’m also not getting paid to speak on it, but I will say Check it out for yourself. Had mine since June of last year and I highly recommend it!!!
I don’t know what your special-needs would be with that radio show, but I use this Mixer to record my morning podcast 20 times per month. It works great.
@@HypeCityShow I record my radio show remotely from my home studio (Savannah on Film/UA-cam) through the RODECasterPro. This unit has elevated my workflow!
I bought one of these in December 2018 and go it in February 2019, and I have loved it. I paired with every mic in my locker, including the PodMic. However I have just a question, why at the 2:50 mark do you have phantom power on for a dynamic microphone? Are you using a CL-1 or a Fethead? If not then there is no need for the phantom power to be on.
In just bought one of these second hand, i noticed in your video the digital vu meter is green then yellow, did rode change it to all green after anfirmware update or something. Mine only ever show green.
Do you have a cloud lifter between your mic and rodecaster? Cuz I’m thinking of getting the shure sm7b and don’t know if i will need a cloud lifter between my mic and rodecaster. Btw great video man! Keep it up :)
Thanks for the demo. Question…does a mixer like this make sense for someone who doesn’t do live streaming and just creates UA-cam content (like tutorials)? I do most of my audio edits in post production. Just wondering if this has value to someone like myself who’s editing with Adobe premier pro and OBS currently…..feedback appreciated. 👍👍
Is it possible to bypass the filters while recording or record dry and do the processing after finishing the recording?? And is there is new version of rodecaster pro coming soon?
You have both the Mixer and your HD 60 pro as inputs in OBS. The mixer will give you audio from your microphone and the HD 60 will give you audio from your game. You can mix the two in OBS to make sure the volume levels are right.
This rodecaster pro is amazing. However if you own a PC and need it for gaming, the GoXLR would be a much better option, since it cast optical audio interface. On my case I am looking for alternatives to the GoXLR as it does not work with MacOS. Cheers!
I noticed there is no Windows drivers for the Roadcaster Pro for Win 10. I want to mix a mic and sound effects to be played while gaming at the same time, so I need to be able to chose the Roadcaster as a MIC input in Widows. Isn't drivers needed to do this? Thanks.
how can i pari out 2 different bluetooth speakers? i.e i want that the sound from the device to be sent to 2 different bluetooth speakers.. help me if u know how this works.. My bluetooth speaker is the mini jbl and another bluetooth speaker.. would be nice to signal sounds to different areas of the house party.. thx
is it bad that I prefer the processing off? idk why but to me it sounds more natural, like I'm actually there with you, talking to you, rather than hearing the processing stuff boosting certain frequencies and such.
Can I loop parts of the audio with this when I live stream (eg. from 1 or 2 mics) ? How about effects like reverb? I am looking at creating music for live streaming together with voice (meditations) and I'm researching all the tech. I had simple yeti blue mic plugged to my phone, that worked, ofc not best for contol but good enough for entry... But that got stolen, together with my 6 singing bowls, cry... :( so as I'm now again at the purchasing point. Many thanks!
saw another video for the GoXLR and didn't like it because it required an app to run for it to work. You didn't mention this but I wanted to know if this mixer requires the same thing to be done?
Is it possible to replace a FiiO E10K Olympus 2 DAC for my Sennheiser HD 660S with this while at the same time having the XLR connections for a proper Mic? I would like to use it to sent the XLR Mic signal to my PC (for usage in OBS, TS3, Discord, MS Teams, ...) and at the same time output my PC Audio to my Headphones ftom this device.
I saw a video where a guy had it connected via usb to computer just for power and then a 3.5 mm cable from the yeti output to the mic input on the rodecaster pro. However with mics such as the Yeti X, that have already its own set of software, dont think would be the best way to plug it to such a device. Cheers!
Just picked this bad boy up. I decided one night at 3AM I’m starting a podcast. Looked into equipment for the long run, this was recommended. Some shure mics, a new computer, and this and I’m not down more $ then I can afford. This really is the best option for beginners even. Can’t wait to start using it.
this is actually missing a vital option for me that the GOXLR has, faders for different functions one for consoles, one for individual music tabs..wish I could get all that control, asked rode themselves and they said they dont have any of those features - bummer.
I purchased the RodeCaster Pro a few weeks ago after several failed mixers. We own a music studio with high end mixers for music but I tried that route with too much complication. I record my calls on OBS and connect my phone via Bluetooth. I use two different Mics depending on the day. one dynamic one condenser. I love the RodeCaster Pro. I probably should have waited and got the version 2 but needed it now. My only complaint is that I wish I had the ability to use voice changers. Not for work but for fun... (scam baiting) I havent seen a good way to do this as of yet live. I thought about a double hookup one going into the voice changer then into the mic input but that doesnt' work well with the needed voltage for the mic. It would be easy for Rode to add some built in's via software. Also with i could make the bottom two sound effect buttons a page left and a page right then only have 6 per page sound effects. I hate using the screen to page to different effects.
Can you use the Rodecaster to output directly into two DSLR cameras...a A roll and B roll camera...so you don't have to sync audio in post ? What is your opinion?
Will this work on an M1 Mac Mini and while streaming via OBS? I stream my gaming on OBS. Also, will I be able to connect my PS4, Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless headset and capture card to it for stream? I wanna be able to hear all sound alerts and what my audience is hearing in my headset. That is one of the main reason why I wanna get a mixer.
Sounds great but definitely peaking my iPad Air speakers i had to turn you down a little.. Very tempted, i have an fm frequency, would it be too amature for fm?
So I've had this interface for some time now, and I have run into an issue where I hear a hum via the headphone ports. It happens without microphones, with out the usb-c cable, etc. It happens when I connect lower OHM headphones to it. With my DT 990 Pros, I do not hear the hum. Any Idea why? Do you hear it?
I ordered the RODECaster Pro last week. It's been on back-order and should be shipping out next week. I'm looking forward to using it based on yours and many other reviews about it. Thanks!
Is it possible to connect 2 Computers to the Rodecaster pro, I plan on going to a 2 PC Livestreaming setup eventually and I am looking at this mixer currently but I need to know if this device is capable of connecting to 2 computers or do I need to add another mixer to be able to connect 2 computers?
I'm running OBS Studio 27.1.3 on Windows 11 and have a Rodecaster Pro mixer (by this suggestion-thanks btw) I use Zoom and had followed your NDI tutorial for connecting audio and video. Is NDI still necessary with this setup? Just curious. Thanks again for all your clear tutorials

Great video bud! Thanks! tell me, what advice would you give to someone who is trying to start a podcast plus also planning to DJ. Between the RODECaster Pro and a DJ Controller, which one can handle both tasks perfectly.
Okay, I guess this is the thing, I need/want. Sure, Behringer has nice mixers, but this seems far better. Looks more stylish and sounds awesome (even without the processing) - has everything I need for my Livestream-Setup. Also, additional XLR Inputs if I have more people and the built-in recording. Can you use the RODECASTER PRO along with the GO XLR at the same time. I love the sound quality and the multiple XLR ports of the RODECASTER PRO but I love the audio routing and the one the fly sampling of the GO XLR.
It’s a awesome mixer!! I have my for about a month now and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.. Hey guys, if I need to use a musical instrument like a guitar that uses 1/4 input, how would you connect to the rodecaster since it only has XLR inputs in the back? any adapters to recommmend?
Q - So I was wondering if something like this would be possible. I have a GOXLR for streaming, only downside was only 1 XLR mic input. Is there a way to maybe combine the GOXLR with Rodecaster Pro perhaps? I would just like to have the ability to adjust both mic levels/settings separately and still have access to GOXLR features like voice changer and the audio routing. I heard it might be possible if the Rodecaster has a Line Out connection, but I haven't seen one on the specs... Please let me know if combining the two devices would be possible and how, Thank You!!
Does each input show up separately in OBS? That is my only hold-up on buying it. I already have the Rode PodMic and really want that built in processing specially for it.
Are you sure? There are instructions on Rodes site for setting up multitrack recording in different OBS, I have set mine up in Audacity and it works great.
Whenever I stream I listen to both game audio and my voice thru my headphones connected to Rodecaster pro. However after long periods of times the game audio sort of overwhelms me, so I lower it down, however by doing this it also lowers the game audio on my stream. Is there a way to prevent this? I would like to keep the game audio on my stream to stay the same, and be able to adjusted on Rodecaster pro so I can listen to it at a lower volume? I'm also using OBS studio.
I know this is a little older of a video so I hope you're still seeing these comments...but is there a specific video you could point me to for getting console game audio AND computer audio AND blu tooth audio through the rodecaster and into SLOBS? And maybe what settings? I'm trying to piece together so much information to make it work and THINK its possible...just struggling. Thank you!
Great video, I'm in the market for a mixer and came across this. I am currently using a Scarlett 18i8, but my issue is that when I looked into streamlabs OBS, I couldn't use any microphone other than input 1 on the audio interface. Pretty weird, then I started looking at mixers to turn all of my inputs into 1 single channel for OBS that way I can live stream my podcast. Definitely appreciate you for making this!
does the sound board work while streaming? Because i do plan on getting this and been getting a lot of positive reviews. But I am more on game streaming, though podcast is coming into mind for quite sometime. Really curious if the sound board works while streaming.
Thanks for the great review! Are you using a Cloudlifter or some other inline boosting device that requires phantom power? If not, I am wondering why you are engaging 48v phantom power to a Rode Procaster which is a dynamic mic not meant for phantom power? I use a Rodecaster Pro and love it. The 2.1 software update put it way over the top as the best mixer of its type for the money!
The best podcast mixed I’ve ever owned, period!!!! You can add sounds on the board, record podcasts without using a computer or phone, play audio from your smartphone and more. Could you make a video with whole set up for streaming using the RØDE caster pro.
Yeh. You'd think that given the title, it would cover that...probably the most important part

Thank you!
Can this work with ps5
What was your process connecting the Rodecaster Pro with the video. How did you marry them.
Can you oprate a gaming surround headset with it? (SteelSeries Arctis Pro)
Can you connect this to samsung s20 ultra as and external mic? I want to use my phone for video live streaming. Would the audio work from the usb c?
Great video, I'm in the market for a mixer and came across this. I am currently using a Scarlett 18i8, but my issue is that when I looked into streamlabs OBS, I couldn't use any microphone other than input 1 on the audio interface. Pretty weird, then I started looking at mixers to turn all of my inputs into 1 single channel for OBS that way I can live stream my podcast. Definitely appreciate you for making this!
Im guessing no voice latency issues either correct?
+Brian Knocik None that I am aware of...
does the sound board work while streaming? Because i do plan on getting this and been getting a lot of positive reviews. But I am more on game streaming, though podcast is coming into mind for quite sometime. Really curious if the sound board works while streaming.
How would you rate it compared to the GoXLR (if you've tried)? The Rodecaster is like 755$ here, so I'm trying to find out if it's SUPERworth
I wondered the same thing. I mean it wont hurt the mic. but its not needed. The preamps have more than enough gain for that mic
~Can you insert an efx machine ?
