Corfu or Kerkyra is the second largest of the Ionian Islands. It is called the Green Pearl of the Ionian Sea. Thanks to its beaches with clear water, beautiful olive groves and its history, it was loved by the English writer Lawrence Durrell, who writes about Corfu in his novel Prospero's Cell, and also by the Austrian Empress Elisabeth of Bavaria called Sissi with her husband Emperor Francis Joseph I. whose castle is the most touristy visited place on the island.

Having visited Corfu for nearly 40 years I would like to add that this video was shot in the winter and shows the seaweed and mess caused by the winter storms. Due to the island being seasonal the locals do an amazing job of cleaning the place up at the beginning of every year, cleaning the beaches and painting, repairing the sea fronts in every resort. The island is very wet in the winter and this can be seen from the flowers and very green nature all over the Island come and see yourself Great video editing and some cool music. Have a great season in 2022 I will be there ASAP

I enjoyed watching that. 🙂 I first went to Corfu in 1972, then many times afterwards. There wasn’t a sunbed…anywhere. At Kavos, there were some tavernas and a few shops but no one else on the beach. Ag Gordis beach was almost empty. It all seemed like paradise. We had mostly Greek salad with feta and bread, fresh fish and calamari, stuffed tomatoes, peaches, watermelon, yoghurt and honey, water and krassis. We didn’t expect steak, fast food or beer that wasn’t local to Greece. I’m amazed now at what tourists seem to need. It’s great for the local economy but …burgers ? 👀 Nightclubs, sunbeds, big hotels…and so on. I met people some years later who didn’t even know that they were on an island. They’d come only for the sunshine, lots of alcohol and not much else. It’s good that people enjoy themselves and spend money but they should appreciate where they are, ie a very,very, beautiful Greek island.

Πολύ ωραίο το βίντεο τις ξεναγήσεις της Κέρκυρας αλλά έχει κάποιες αστοχίες θα έπρεπε σε κάθε σκηνή που δείχνετε άλλη διαφορετική να εξηγείται και πού είναι και τι βλέπουμε εκείνη τη στιγμή ένα μικρό κειμενάκι δεν θα έβλαπτε σε κάθε καινούργια σκηνή να εξηγείτε τη καλά καλά και λίγοπώς θα καταλάβει πού είναι αυτό το μέρος που δείχνετε το βίντεο είναι μεγάλο ν χρειάζεται παραπάνωΛοιπόν Κάποιες επεξηγήσεις τις οποίες δεν έχετε
