Beloved Corfu (Kerkira for us Greeks)! An island with something magic in the air. Lived there for six lovely years. Beach is matter of personal taste, but I LLLOOOVE the Palaiokastritsa region WNW part, my favourite beaches are Rovinia near Liapades village (can be reached by car/foot) and the hidden Paradisos (only by boat)! La Grotta bar and beach on the rocks is wonderful too!

One of the best places on earth, i was there last summer had wonderful time and a day trip to albania was the icing on the cake😄👍
When some pals and I went to Dassia on the eastern shores of Corfu in 1983 we were warned not to take any rental boat across the sea to the land we could see in the haze a few miles away. We were told it was Albania, and that they liked nothing better than rounding up western boaters from their deserted beach and jailing them as spies until the day of their flight home, when they had to rush back dishevelled, pack and get to the airport. We were also told that a priest had recently been executed over there for baptising a baby.
It was amazing to see the dark, forbidden eastern bloc, somewhere we thought we'd never be allowed to visit, and also a place of deep mystery - apart from the codswallop we could hear if we managed to tune into Radio Tirana on short wave, but it's even better to hear that Corfu holidaymakers can now visit Albania, and presumably vice versa.

@@TheTravellingFoot You're very welcome! Actually I should add that Corfu is difficult to surpass for awesome scenery, fabulous beaches, relaxed, trusting, gentle people and a superb climate. I honestly doubt there is anywhere in the Med so beautiful and with so many things to recommend it. I absolutely love that little island.

I live in Corfu but I think that the best beaches are Canal d amour , Glyfada , Issos , Sidari and Moraitika

@@TheTravellingFoot i miss back Corfu, its so long long time ago i was there maybe 1980s to 2002, and i went there 17 times. I also visited 17 Greek islands and Corfu is the number 1. I drove with motorbike i think almost every possible beaches and what is best in Corfu the beaches are so many different types of beauty. I guess hmm 2nd best island with amazing beaches is Kefalonia, and then Lefkas, Zakynthos. But Santorini is unique so its up there 3 best islands ever. Now im Philippines and here the islands are beautiful and tropical beaches yes wow. But nothing ever compare the beauty of Corfu.

That’s not the very good ones. I’ve been to Corfu twice and I’ve been to some very beautiful and quiet beach, wild and hidden from the road, you got to leave your car and have to walk through some woods. So beautiful
