Gosh what a compliment. It helps it’s a small garden and I’m a Virgo or maybe slightly ocd and retired 😉! Plus I really enjoy outside always have ! Kinda like moving all the time !
Very interesting and informative video - we love our Asters and Phlox ! We have been very poorly with Covid but are now recovering. Best Wishes, Paul & Nadj.
I love your textures in your garden it’s truly stunning!!! This is a great video I wish it was longer than 3 minutes!!! I could look at your garden all day!
Such kind words . You seemed a bit weary in your last one ! Renovating a kitchen reestablishing a landscape all in one year lots of time energy! You two need a vacation from decisions and work☺️
@@gardeningonthewestforkwith8994 yes it’s been crazy, I think you’re right! It’s so hot here as well! I’m really enjoying your latest videos!!! Making me more motivated! I’ve got to get my audio situation figured out. My equipment started acting up and I’ve got to get better equipment! But thanks for your videos, they’re so good! Garden looks amazing!
Thanks for this reminder to cut back my Asters and Mums. I’m so behind on regular garden chores. I have to cut back my autumn joy or it just lays everywhere. Unfortunately mine is already blooming so I think i missed the boat on that one. It’s tough to keep up with it all when you are building new gardens. Happy 4th!
With new gardens , writing a book , big family lol do you ever sleep?? Our lives are blessed with such interests ! I bet you are never bored😉nor I ! I’m behind catching up on my gardening friends ! The quarantine was good for gardening and watching other gardeners ☺️now we engage with humans on our discretionary time 🥳👙🍸
Amazing video, just a quick question I luv asters and planted a few days ago and the tag that came with it said nothing that they’re perennial or annual Can you tell me if they’re considered perennial in my gardening zone 6a. Ontario. Canada
hi asters are beautiful aren't they! i must have small varieties because i never have to cut them back. have you ever grown golden rod? they are a lovely plant too💕
There are compact varieties of asters I’m to frugal to switch😉. Golden rod would be beautiful but shoot my garden seems almost to full. Although I could eliminate some plants🧐
I’m in zone 8, and my asters bloom April - July, 1-3’ tall, but never in the fall. Should I prune now to encourage longer growth and bloom cycles? 3:24
Interesting how yours bloom in your zone. I would experiment with a few stems and see what happens . I’m curious to hear . Mine get pruned to reduce flopping and create more branching . Just do a few and see 🤔😊
"Sometimes I'm not on top of things." I wish I was as "not on top of things" as you. You garden looks beautiful!
