Great info, very to-the-point and perfect timing for me to stumble across this video as I'm currently helping my mum get her garden under control and we want it to be a haven for bees and wildlife. 🙂 Happy to see your enthusiasm for salvias as mum's already planted several of these per my advice!
Great video, I lifted my Salvia Amistad and popped it in poly tunnel for winter here is soggy west of Ireland and it survived well. I love all the plants you suggested and will use them in new community project. Thank you.
I can’t even find last years plantings, is it coz of the rain? Garden was like a field after a football match in the rains, do we have to grow everything in pots?
Hi there! Some of the ones that are currently unavailable will be back on the website soon We are either waiting for new stock to become saleable - we dont wish to push out anything that isnt ready - or the stock has become too big to mail order but is available in person at the nursery
Thank you for another informative video. I wonder if you are doing a Q&A session soon? If so, could I ask a question please? My godson is getting married next year in England, mid September and has asked me to provide the flowers. I grow dahlias, Japanese Anemone and Nerine which flower at this time but are there any others which you could suggest as reliable for this time of year? I have a large garden and allotment so space isn’t an issue. Thank you in advance.
Always informative - than you for your posts. Are any of the above invasive? This is often the one bit of information not provided and if the plant self seeds or worse is a vigorous rooter, problems can occur despite their attributes. Many thanks.
Surprised it took so long to do some cutting back. I would have them cut right back before the video was ever made. Would have been a much bushier plant and have piles more flowers throughout the season. Grab a few cuttings as well.
Thank you Rosie! I have geums but they seem to gone off despite deadheading. Is this a particular variety of geums that flowers so long, or all geums should be like that? Mine is red but taller and smaller flower.
thank you. I love the Geum. Is it as floriferous as Totally Tangerine please? I have many \Geums but have found the one that really shines is Totally Tangerine for it's vigour and amount of flowers and flowering time.
Geum mrs Bradshaw seems to be a “good doer” I planted it in spring this year and it’s full of very pretty blooms, a lovely deep red, not as tall as totally tangerine and I’m not sure how long it will carry on flowering or how much it’ll spread out as it’s the first year in my garden but it’s worth having I’d say 😊
Just subscribed (you're one of my favourite contributors on the middle sized garden channel). My geum - called tangerine something I think - only flowers once in the spring. Is that normal?
Trying to map these varieties to US - some sold outs. Wonder why?! Love your videos. Some look like not available here. Or I’m trying the wrong nursery!
I just don’t find these type of plants in the garden centres, they all seem to have the same generic stock of begonias, geraniums and pansies that’s your choice sadly.
How come all the plants I bought ( named above ) most haven’t even come back at all, I had to dig up the nepeta and put in pot and have 3 leaves and its june!!
What is your soil type or location? (are you in the UK and which county?) Do you know how old the plants were when you bought them? When were they planted? Did you mulch?
We hope you enjoyed this video.
Full plant list and zone information is in the description :)
All plants are purple or mauve this season...bring on other colours!
So appreciate your direct, clear and themed info in a short video.
My salvia Amistad is loving life well past mid November and it is bringing so much joy and colour to the dull days here in the UK.
Love your podcasts. Smart, sweet, and to the point. Lots of info in a short time.
Absolutely fantastic advice, please do provide a list of all other flowers that bloom throughout the season. Thanks ❤
In a small garden flowering all summer is a bonus

Thanks Rosy - very helpful concise video. Love all that you've recommended.
I under plant my roses with Salvia and find it reduces any black spot and makes a healthy companion for the rose.
I always propagate Amistad cuttings just to be sure I have it for the next summer. A must have for me 💜
Can you dig it up and store it?
@@moominpupa Absolutely! Mine goes into an unheated greenhouse over winter.
@@barbcottingham6675 thank you.
Thanks for that info, good to know.
I have some Astrantias and they are very graceful plants!
Excellent, simply excellent!
Love your enthusiasm for plants!!
Excellent content and delivery. Thank you!
So nice! Thank you very much for your sugestions!
Wonderful video thank you very much for sharing! Great ideas for next year🧑🌾👍🏾
I'm redesigning a summer bed at the moment and have included most of these , with some small evergreen shrubs as a backdrop, and winter interest.
Me too.

My favourite gardening channel ❤ I just wish that the plants you talk about were available on your online shop. But love this channel!

Great ideas Rosy, I can do only salvia and nepeta in my garden. Zone 5 b. I am always looking for longer blooming plants.
Thank you!!

@@DottyGran247 thank you. yes I have mrs Bradshaw. I agree, a beautiful colour but definitely doesn't spread or flower as much as TT.
Geum Mai Tai is a generous plant, flowers for weeks on end.

Totally Tangerine should flower all summer
Are your plants zoned for the US? I'm in zone 5 and am interested in many of your plants.
Trying to map these varieties to US - some sold outs. Wonder why?! Love your videos. Some look like not available here. Or I’m trying the wrong nursery!
I have geum "Sangria" it's spectacular!
Thank you for these suggestions.
Nice littte video thank you, I am doing something right I have four out of your six
Would any of these plants be ok in a pot?
Can any of these plants be propagated by cuttings?
Perfection!!!
Thanks! Just subscribed.
Salvias have been completely decimated by slugs. How do you keep yours keep going??!!
That Advert for the weed remover---doesn't come with the stick.
I just don’t find these type of plants in the garden centres, they all seem to have the same generic stock of begonias, geraniums and pansies that’s your choice sadly.
Maybe, you could try ordering online. Hopefully you will find a greater choice there.
Try an independent garden centre rather than the big national chains

👍
It’s so frustrating when they decide to change a certain species name.
In the US it is still sold as verbena, but I agree it makes it very hard to find things.
You’ll survive.
