This is one of my favourite episodes in anime period. Never have I seen a shounen protagonist go to such a dark place of mind. I felt like Gon's anger throughout this episode was one of the most believable cases of rage i've seen done in a show. Being a child he just couldn't understand why she would want to save Komugi's life after all the horrible things she did to Kite.

Pitou was not scared from Gon, she was scared from the thought of disappointing or disobeying the King~
well yeah i know, but therefore she IS scared tho for gon to do something because she doesn't want to stop healing the girl
She’s not scared of disobeying the king, I’m saying she’s not afraid of the king, she cares about what the king cares about
Pls don't feel weird for not crying in this episode, you were not suppoed to. This episode was made like this so you could feel all the mixed emotions gon was Going though, there are a ton of simbolisms as well (like Gon leaving the frame and Killua being completely alone). This is top 5 episodes of the series no doubt, and i'm talking technically here, the animation, the music and the direction is just fucking flawless. I've seen it at least 15 times and i was still so tense watching your video.

I just love this episode so much because of how powerful it was and how complex the situation was as well. Seeing Gon after having confronted an enemy that took the life of someone dear to him, and then having that same enemy now saying that she needs you to wait because she has to save someone else? How else was Gon supposed to process that? It's baffling, but that's what I loved about this episode because it completely caught me off guard and was not what I was expecting either. I absolutely love how unconventional HxH can be and is and it does it so excellently. This episode was so intense and I thought Megumi Han, the voice actress for Gon, did such a brilliant job capturing that raw emotion that Gon must have been feeling. The use of silence and the OST in this episode was astounding as well.
Also, you're not the only one who thought Gon shouldn't have said what he said to Killua. That crossed a line, but considering the state he was in, it's something he couldn't have meant. My heart broke when he said that to Killua because all throughout the show, Killua was so self sacrificing in order to protect Gon and his relationship with him.
yeah the voice acting for gon was brilliant in this one!! i agree on the music and silence throughout the episode too!!
i understand gon, i would be pissed like him too and only think of the friend i want to save no matter what! he just lost sight of anything else since pitou was in front of him! anger took over. Killua is such a good guy, i think he realizes that gon is just too upset at that moment, but that he wishes that he would maybe think more about everything and not only saving kite.

Nice reaction, Can't wait to see your reactions to future episodes, it just keeps getting better and better! This episode is a direct set up for a future episode, which I'm not gonna say which one but your body isn't ready! Also I didn't cry in this episode either although I found it so intense, and the way Gon treats Killua almost made me tear up especially when at the end it showed Killua leaving Gon alone. Which I think is also a huge development for Killuas character. Good luck on the rest of the arc, excited to see the reaction for 121!

I'm pretty sure Kite said this when he explaining the dangers of Chimera Ants. I always thought the ants had genders but I know jack shit about ant biology. Apart from The King and The Queen they could all be hermaphrodites for all I know.
