I did 5 straight back cornrows and gained a half an inch of growth and actually keep it on my head...lol. For February I am doing bantu knots. My hair has been staying moisturized longer and I am excited to see if I get another half an inch this month. 😁 I will record my progress monthly so stay tuned if you'd like. @@SlimReshae Wigs don’t look as ‘good’ or ‘presentable’ as people think they do. But it’s the norm for a lot of folks so they’re just accepted. Plus a lot of people have so much damage from protective styling that it’s often assumed that the person wearing it doesn’t have many options-which is another reason they’re accepted in society. Gotta respect whatever going on underneath it.
Just think you are a wonderful beautiful young person. Personaly, I think it took a lot of courage to admit to hair issues and share your hair journey with us. Appreciated and b may God bless you.

How ironic that your video popped up in my feed…I’ve been contemplating buying some wigs and rocking protective styles for a few months, to give both myself and my hair a break.
Ouu that was me had a good a nice deep wave human wig from march 2022 to may2023. 5 days a week and then changed it occasionally for colored wig on weekend. It’s been 2 yrs since I cut it off for the 5 time., but great progress.
I started a committment to keep my hair healthy for one year by wearing protective styles-start date: 12/21/24. I'll be back in a year to report on the progress! :)
