Let's be real.... Lockdown was the best villain in the Transformers franchise. He wasn't an Autobot and wasn't a Decepticon... he was a mercenary and bounty hunter cleaning up the mess the two sides left all across the universe.

There are alot of em pretty sure and if im thinking right "Primes" (Like early age ones like "Fallen", middle age "Sentinel" and new age "Optimus") are made from Creators to be special and bring peace and to work for there word. Primes i would say are Third branch in their family three, First being the Unknown Power, second the Creators, then Primes, Special guardians, then allies.

Lockdown is definitly one of my favorites. His design, the way he speaks, how he moves, his oneliners. They killed him off way too quickly in my opinion.

Nehemias Benitez To be fair, a Lamborghini Aventador is longer and wider than a Camaro, Bugatti and Corvette. It's not too far fetched to believe. Sentinel Prime is where you should be complaining; considering he's a giant fire-truck yet comes up to Megatrons height. He should tower over Megatron. Although, mass-shifting is a huge factor throughout the Transformers.
Trainsandtrucks Yeah, I agree. Unlike the majority of Cybertronians, Lockdown is incredibly slim and stream-lined; so it's not hard to see his transformation working.

Michael Bay, messes up Pearl Harbor didn't expect to care for Transformers. He is easily my favorite character in the films, everything about him is perfect.
Anas Lamrani lockdown is a terrible character, his motives are about as stupid as Sarah Palin. Him and Galvatron were the very reason this movie was shit
I think Lockdown has the best combat skills in all the bayformer movies other than maybe Sentinel Prime. He literally kicked Optimus's butt and subdued Bumblebee easily even though it was a sneak attack. He's a bit small compared to other transformers but quick and agile and just as strong. Also his face-gun allows him to take down enemies without really getting face to face. These qualities really suit an intergalactic robot bounty hunter.

Lockdown is such a great and intimidating character. They shouldn't have killed him on TF4 He did so much on just one movie and megatron needed two movies to defeat prime using the help of Grindor (Blackout) And Starscream
You wanna know how Optimus survived a shot from lockdowns face gun? When ratchet couldn't? Or hell when he got a stab wound to his spark? Its because he had the matrix of leadership. Let me explain, so in age of extinction he did have the matrix in his chest during the entire movie. "Why didn't he use it?" Because there wasn't any uses for it, he had it in his chest and with it it made him damn near invincible. Thats how he survived a shot from lockdowns gun to his spark, and how like 1 hour later he was like "nah im good" and is perfectly fine. Same as when he got the sword of judgment to his spark, the matrix healed it. And in DOTM someone said "The matrix, the only thing that can repair a transformers spark." So that's how he survived all of lockdowns attacks.

I love how he walks into this extremely dangerous place with galvatron and prime not just with confidence, not just like he owns it, but with this swagger, this superiority, like the situation is beneath him. He’s so powerful that dealing with prime is almost pathetic to him.
You can debate that his introduction...is one of the most legendary in cinematic history! Sinister...yet cool as hell. If there was EVER a "who the hell is that?!" Moment!

Xjavier Gibbs looking back now, number 4 isnt that bad now that the 5th has released. It was such a bad concept and the story sucked! Galvatron never got an explanation on how he turned into the new megatron, the deceptions had much lavish personalitys which made them look friendly, and what the heck was quentessas plan????
Tbh lockdown was the only reason why it didn't entirely suck. This character carried the movie. Such potential, just wasted on 1 fucking movie. Kind of annoys me tbh
Jason Roy when my dad saw the scene he was completely done with transformers cause the basically killed off the original badass cast of transformers which consisted of Iron-hide Ratchet Jazz and bumblebee in the comics and should’ve been in the movie as well
One of few things they did right in this movie: make Lockdown even more menacing than he is in the comics and cartoons. I mean, he stole the movie ( alongside with Optimus's new looks and personal drama ). They made him scarier, someone you don't mess with. And that was awesome.
Lockdown is the one who carries the movie to his shoulders, from his epic entries. I would tell you that he was one of the best villains in the entire sagaM
What do you expect? The only iconic villain in Transformers universe is Megatron, thus only he can survive deaths and Optimus is a protagonist who never hesitate to kill enemies, unlike Batman

Lol at 2:25 when Cade hides behind the wall it’s a straight up wall with space directly to the right, next shot is a different wall. Also when lockdown shoots at that wall there’s a person beside cade who ducks but the shot before that there’s nobody there. Great directing!😂😂😂

Unpopular opinion tf4 was good, the only thing it lacked was a main even/fight sure lockdowns ship invading Hong Kong was one of the coolest scenes ever, but it doesn’t compare to a full scale invasion like in tf3, this movie would of been great if it had done something like that

I know I'm late to comment on this... But Michael Bay wasted transformers all around... He's stories are more focused on Optimus prime if you observe carefully following the same pace... Last half hour / third act is reserved for action in which OP is stuck somewhere and other autobots are fighting to their best... Than OP shows up and is almost on the verge of losing the battle and gets helped by someone, either autobots, decepticon or by humans or other reinforcements... Excluding the forest battle in TF2 they've no clean and burtal fights of OP... The series went on wrong path in 2nd film itself killing and resurrecting OP was not a wise decision overall... It would've have been awesome if OP died in TF3 by sacrificing himself and megatron escape and in fourth OP is resurrected by Megatron just to find that lockdown has been hunting them down and they form a truce temporarily may be... 5th one didn't made any sense to me at all though i liked it first somewhat reason but eventually felt cheated and duped...
+mr bacon Megatron had just saved him from Sentinel, who Optimus was losing too. When Optimus kills him, he had relaxed because he was basically done fighting, he wanted a truce.
Stop trying down size Optimus, look at Megatron who need 3 of his men to stop a raging Optimus in TF3 in the the Forest battle, my boi Optimus did his jawns tho, props to him lol
Whenever I watched this in the theaters I hated lockdown for killing ratchet because he was my favorite transformer but whenever he was in a scene I started liking him more and more because of how badass he is

So this is the Lockdown we’ve experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Little did I know he was this cool. Even Optimus Prime had to hide from Lockdown.
I'd say it's a result of Lockdown driving his weapon into the hard ground, just barely missing it's mark, (both literally and figuratively), Cade, just tried to push the weapon away from him
Lockdown is far better than Megatron. His physique, his tone, his fighting skills, his transformation and most importantly his face cannon🔥🔥🔥 He is absolutely overall a package❤️ The franchise should have kept him for the next editions.

Lockdown is neutral he's a mercenary he's not a autobot or decepticon. I love the scene where he turned his head and face into a sniper/missile launcher
I don't understand .......Lockdown is a Decepticon or an autobot who betrayed his team. I think he is a hunter or something like this because he has the best equipement and also a great ship.
Astro In all of the continuities Lockdown is Cybertronian bounty hunter who belongs to no party but since his character was made to be an anti-hero he is generally perceived to be a Decepticon despite his independence.
Lockdown played such an interesting antagonist role ngl. He died though which sucks, I would love to see his return, he played almost as good of a role as megatron... almost

I think Lockdown has the best combat skills in all the bayformer movies other than maybe Sentinel Prime. He literally kicked Optimus's butt and subdued Bumblebee easily even though it was a sneak attack. He's a bit small compared to other transformers but quick and agile and just as strong. Also his face-gun allows him to take down enemies without really getting face to face. These qualities really suit an intergalactic robot bounty hunter.

You wanna know how Optimus survived a shot from lockdowns face gun? When ratchet couldn't? Or hell when he got a stab wound to his spark? Its because he had the matrix of leadership. Let me explain, so in age of extinction he did have the matrix in his chest during the entire movie. "Why didn't he use it?" Because there wasn't any uses for it, he had it in his chest and with it it made him damn near invincible. Thats how he survived a shot from lockdowns gun to his spark, and how like 1 hour later he was like "nah im good" and is perfectly fine. Same as when he got the sword of judgment to his spark, the matrix healed it. And in DOTM someone said "The matrix, the only thing that can repair a transformers spark." So that's how he survived all of lockdowns attacks.

I know I'm late to comment on this... But Michael Bay wasted transformers all around... He's stories are more focused on Optimus prime if you observe carefully following the same pace... Last half hour / third act is reserved for action in which OP is stuck somewhere and other autobots are fighting to their best... Than OP shows up and is almost on the verge of losing the battle and gets helped by someone, either autobots, decepticon or by humans or other reinforcements... Excluding the forest battle in TF2 they've no clean and burtal fights of OP... The series went on wrong path in 2nd film itself killing and resurrecting OP was not a wise decision overall... It would've have been awesome if OP died in TF3 by sacrificing himself and megatron escape and in fourth OP is resurrected by Megatron just to find that lockdown has been hunting them down and they form a truce temporarily may be... 5th one didn't made any sense to me at all though i liked it first somewhat reason but eventually felt cheated and duped...

I don't understand .......Lockdown is a Decepticon or an autobot who betrayed his team. I think he is a hunter or something like this because he has the best equipement and also a great ship.

Astro In all of the continuities Lockdown is Cybertronian bounty hunter who belongs to no party but since his character was made to be an anti-hero he is generally perceived to be a Decepticon despite his independence.

Lockdown played such an interesting antagonist role ngl. He died though which sucks, I would love to see his return, he played almost as good of a role as megatron...
