It is a rather difficult time for eateries and restaurants everywhere. Barely had they somehow scraped through last year, the ones that managed to survive that is, the current scenario yet again threatens hundreds and thousands of livelihoods that depend on this sector. In this ‘support restaurants’ vlog, I return to The Lighthouse Restaurant to meet lady entrepreneur, Prathiksha Nayak and learn how they are coping, and to also taste some delicious dishes that I missed out on when I was here last. Whilst we must all stay safe and take adequate precautions for ourselves and our loved ones, if possible, please spare a thought for the many restaurants and eateries that have given us abundant culinary pleasures and now depend on our support to make it through these gloomy days, one small takeaway order at a time. A humble suggestion pls promote eateries and restaurants whose livelihoods are really at stake. Since you are doing extremely well by God's grace you wouldn't need such paid promotions.
This family is extremely affluent and they can sustain through this period probably even the next couple of generations with out doing anything.

I would want them to cover eateries which really need recognition and mass awareness and do not necessarily have wherewithal to engage promoters during such testing times.
It doesn't matter to me nor do I worry about your affluence, good luck to you with that and many more good wishes to multiply it. How paradoxical isn't it that you say you don't need brands to support you and yet you invite Food lovers twice in a span of 7-8 months .
My real concern and empathy lies with a different section of small entrepreneurs where the livelihood of the family depends on sustaining during these tough times.

I’ve been here..The food is delicious proper mlorean style.. This place used to be so crowded..Their prawns ghee roast with ne’er dosa was yummy even baby corn dish which we had ordered was yummm..Place is nice with beautiful ambience.. Food is value for money..The lady used to come personally to each table and check about the food..People craving mlorean food can go to this place it’s reasonable with authentic taste..

Appreciate your perspective, Dr. If you look at our work, you will find that we are more predisposed towards covering smaller establishments. However it has to be said that bigger eateries have bigger challenges and more mouths to feed. We may not always be mindful of that... Also, things aren’t always as rosy as they seem, from what we know the lady entrepreneur and her team is dependent on this eatery, the other restaurant in the immediate family that is being referred to has been closed for a long time now.

Mushrooms go well with almost anything. It also depends on what type of mushrooms you're using. For example, even in Ramen dishes mushrooms play an important role. If you're a vegetarian, learning how to use Mushrooms in different ways is a great skill to have.

we stay so close to Lighthouse but we never knew about it at all.. and we are now a regular customer of that restaurant. the quality of the food served and its taste is really good and it can only make you visit repeatedly.. one must really taste their dish once. good part is that the owner lady keeps coming to each table and checks if all good when the customers are eating/served their order.
