After watching many episodes of Design Seeds, I find that Chinese home owners prefer marbles, gold finishes, and white colors to be incorporated into their home designs. More marbles from top to toe to make the home feels “luxurious” like a 5 star hotel that makes the space feel disconnected in the overall house designs. It may sound hilarious where some of these designs tries to add-up expensive building materials just to tell people it is luxurious without any meaningful design. It’s nice to watch your videos and learn more about all those homes you’ve featured.
This is just a pure art, one of the best designs recently, i really enjoyed each second of this video, Thank you Alex for this great work, Much respect & love to you from Cairo.
Outstanding renovation project. Wonderful transformation and walkthrough of the process, sourcing of products resulting in a pleasing and beautiful transformation. Kudos to the team 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Overall, impressive. When the quality is so high, the "mistakes" are all the more apparent. What about the air conditioning (Min 5:41) - wasn't there a better space to put it? What about the shape of the rock garden window? Was the reasoning behind the rectangular shape smaller than a trapezoidal one accompanying the slope of the staircase privacy?
If the owner likes it, that's all that matters, of course. However, while I usually like your work, I find this way too busy and overcomplicated. With all that construction, the AC units should have been either a built-in unit for the entire home with proper ductwork, or better camouflaged. But the worst for me, aside from the visual noise, were the marble choices and the lighting. That spiral thing belongs in a hotel entrance.
Yes, overall feels a little too busy. No doubt is a great design, and IMHO it works fine for short term stay, ie hotel or airbnb. For long term stay, I'd prefer to be greeted by calm, simple and cozy home.
Who would have thought after spending close to RM6m for a terrace house you need to knock down the whole house to make it more functional? Epic fail for the original designers.
Why is always the “expensive”, “luxurious” looks that seem most important in this channel? How about just being classy and elegant? Not everyone has an inferiority complex with a need to be showy to impress others. It’s a home, not some hotel.
This is the design most Chinese Malaysians - which happens to be most of his clients - prefer, as it just screams wealth and opulence. This is also the design you will find in most 5 star hotels in Kuala Lumpur. It is sort of like bringing the luxury hotel to your home.
I guess only those people will over spend on their house. And that is what gives this channel businesses. Those who chased for a minimal, cozy, functional house will most probably do it by themselves and save on designer fees. Besides, you will feel the fees are not worth the minimal effect you get from them. Hence the bias.
DesignSeed never disappoints! This stunning home perfectly showcases the homeowner's meticulous taste and flair for interior design.

The transformation is rally evident. What else can you ask for it? 😍
I saw some Florida home interior which is always white color, bright and homely.
Can introduce some houses with this design.
Love all your episodes..👍👍
I think the “luxury look” can get a little busy and tiresome on the eyes. That said overall I like this property and episode. Cheers
Here for the marble action, please do more ..

Absolutely spot on! 👍

That's actually the idea behind the decor. The homeowner was gunning for that Malaysian 5 star hotel look.
simply art🤩
this is the vibes I want in a home, great work!
Looks amazing!
Hi owner, nice house, what do u do for a living?
Looks like a US American office building lobby with a kitchen and a couch.
love this insightfull video
My goodness that marble used in the kitchen is gorgeous. What type is it?
Awesome ❤
So well done.
Love the powder room... what type of marble was used?
❤❤❤
I wish u could design my house too ❤🤞🏻 from India
tôi hơi lo ngại về vấn đề nấu ăn trong căn nhà này
The marble choice was ghastly, unfortunately.
You forgot the wet kitchen 😮
Why is there no handrails on the stairs?
很奢华的设计,很好看,我们是做金属制品的,如果你们需要定制金属家具,我们可以提供服务
This is very me
Amazing home you created from a terrible place!!
all that $$ for renos and couldn't redo/change the AC so it didn't stick out? and where's the 'wet kitchen' for cooking?
