I can highly recommend One Earth Concept; builders & architects. Having worked with Kit & Richard on this fantastic home, their designs are the best I've seen in Malaysia for a long long time. My company was the waterproofing sub-contractor for this project, and having worked on many commercial projects it was refreshing to work with these guys, quality workmanship and hands-on by Kit in every aspect of the job. Something you never see on typical projects. Most importantly to me, someone in construction for over 28 years, was the level of detail they dedicated to each aspect of the home, nothing was over looked or missed out. Nothing! Can't wait to work with them again.
One excellent characteristics of this infill terrace house is the tunnel’ vision of all the fix and natural features that give the occupants a sense of harmony and comfort. Timeless picture frames of the courtyard, the space frame stairs and earthy rustic timber patio against an honest white wall and frames. Indeed a comfortable and beautiful home
Very well thought-out planning, very well designed, a beautiful home! Kudos to the architects (an architect myself here), who seem to have given their all, and to the homeowners.
It's good to see how wide open, relaxing and private this house is despite having neighboring homes closely attached to the house side by side... I am loving Vietnamese and Malaysian designers take on Tropical weather
I learned a new construction material in this episode... as well as design strategies and building elements that I can actually execute on my own project. oh and I'm a fan of One Earth Concept too so that goes without saying why I like this episode... haha
When u want to get a new home, but u can't afford to leave ur current place...according to the reno budget roughly, u could get a nice bungalow in a sub urb area with similar features of course! But hey, this urban infill is a win2 situation for both client n architect i might say.. 😅👌🏻
Living space and terrace housing (a direct descended of British post-WWII residential development transplanted to Malaya in the 1950s) is about space planning. While 'court yard' house is amazing, it is NOT PRACTICAL for every one in the M'sian middle-class-terrace house context. Court yard house is NOT space efficient in the terrace house context. I lived in a (corner lot) terrace house in PJ for over 40 years. When you have a growing family of 3 kids you need private rooms, at least 4 with a master. And this is NOT possible for a standard terrace house with a middle court yard. Additionally looking at all the water features and indoor/ roof garden requires HUGE effort on maintenance, unless you are a rich tycoon/ Latuk. In my professional experience such 'wasteful' utilisation of space is only common for the top-rich... and even then for spacious building. But don't get me wrong I am not saying the bldg is bad... I would probably only think about it when all my kids are independent and have moved out. BTW I am.an engineer with over 4 decades in the construction industry including housing as above.
This is such a sick build. My fav was the implementation of the stair case and the slits in between them to allow the strips of light rays through. Looks super neat and smart way of natural lighting
The concept of repurposing old homes into new homes should really be taken mainstream in Malaysia, especially in the context of urban living. Many opportunities for property owners/developers to reay showcase their artistry. With the right PR and exposure, surely demand to follow.
Very idealistic design, natural design, friendly nature design, nice one again One Earth more videos of disign houses for the viewers can inspire all. 😍😍😍
REALLY WELL DONE for the spatial relationship & cross ventilation. Bring natural beauty & fit to those who are yoga favorite with Healthy & clean atmosphere.
When watching this video, I recognised there was some similarity from one of Tadao Ando's building where he designed a home with a courtyard, and even he loves to use natural elements when designing. Love it ❤️❤️
the concept no doubt superb.. but practicality I'm no so sure about that for a long run.. where is the car park for owner and since they received a lot of guest comes by.. I'm sure this is an issue at terrace area.. nowadays minimum 1 house have 2 cars.. the creativity, design and architecture works totally excellent.. well done!
Would be interested to understand the planning regulations in Malaysia as compared to other countries, the proposed scheme does seem to overshadow the adjacent and opposite terrace rows. Would it not be possible for the Architect to mention planning success in these shoots?
Wonderful design! If you can share the house dimensions in the video will help us to think whether we can plan such architecture building can be build or not.
hi Alex! I love this video from you...nice flow of explanation and superb cinematic video. The house subject also mesmerizing, thorough thoughtful on the balance of living and privacy. Kudos to your team
Hi Greetings from Singapore. Love your timber louvers, industrial metal mesh spread , auto roof , overall is brilliant .Good job. How much to rebuilt the while project excluding furnishing? Thxs.
what window screens are used in malaysia? im looking for washable screens as well as a window frame design that integrates this washable/removable screens.
Looks cool like you went to a 5 star hostel. Just one question, since this house is stored with much sophisticated gadgets like the automatic sun-roofing, do you need a backup generator incase they're no electricity?
Super nice! At the end of the vid, there's a mysterious black house along the same street that @Design Seed left it as the next project, I wonder what happened to that - anyone know if it was already covered

do ONe Earth Concept do any Singapore projects?
@@roubini74 no they only do in Klang Valley.
Idk why I'm a bit teary-eyed watching this but I must say this is truly beautiful and well-thought of! Imagine coming home to this. So beautiful!
From the lights, materiality, shadows, no use of air conditioners and nature 😍 wow.
I like Design Seed, please continue to feature more awesome projects!
Thank you for your support! Do spread the love and subscribe! We hope to grow the channel to serve more interesting projects! cheers
The raw cement finish , metal works and overall workmanship of this house were done very well !!
bagus design-nya, no air conditioning, cross ventilation. but still esthetically well executed. bravo

one of the best-designed homes ive seen, and i look at a lot of houses.
Very well thought-out planning, very well designed, a beautiful home! Kudos to the architects (an architect myself here), who seem to have given their all, and to the homeowners.
This is my dream house - soooo beautiful, soooo functional, and best of all it is soooo environment-friendly.
I picked up the Robert Powell book after seeing this. Cool ending to the video looking forward to seeing the other house.
The architecture is one of a kind.
I love the inter-play of natural light, air and the creation of unexpected space.
Keep up with the creative juices.
It's good to see how wide open, relaxing and private this house is despite having neighboring homes closely attached to the house side by side... I am loving Vietnamese and Malaysian designers take on Tropical weather
Not only love the home but love the way you’ve presented it. Videography on point! 😍
Extraordinary, amazing, and brilliant design. This is beautiful, design please show more houses like this. Good job!!

Great house lovely design, did you notice that at 2:51 she was like 2mm from stepping off the paver??

Wow amazing design, wonderful build.....kudos to the design and build team
louvre create a very nice shadows and different shape depending on the time of the day.
i love this house.
Spectacular design. The open air concept has always been my dream to have, will definitely get a similar design when I have the capability.
Its really a spectacular design. But how mosquiotes are prevented from entering the house from outside .
This is one of my favorite so far...
Truly inspired- never imagined a terrace house can be transformed in such manner. Any special permission required to make such extensive renovation?
of course. you need to approve permit & other documents from the government
Brilliant! The house and the video. My dream house now has changed after subscribing to your channel.
This house looks really amazing. It is so extraordinary. The design of the house is nicely thought and planned. Thank you for sharing!

this property is seriously next level..
Wow! I wish you guys operated in India. This is just class apart. Big shout out to the entire team 👏🏻
This is such a sick build. My fav was the implementation of the stair case and the slits in between them to allow the strips of light rays through. Looks super neat and smart way of natural lighting
This is so unique! Lovely home 🏡🥰. I wish I could have this beautiful home 🏡 in God’s perfect time 🙏🏻
I’m big fan . Love this sustainability thinking.
Great video. Would love to see more transformative terrace houses in Malaysia featured
.
Love the concept: less air cond, more air and natural lighting 👍👍👍
It's a very fascinating take on a terrace house. Simply superb.....

Oh yea. I have seen quite similar in Melbourne.
So lucky , can transform in KL.
Here SG is very expensive to built a project..
Great video! Fascinating to see how the terrace houses are transformed and evolved to suit different climates and countries.
Great videos with meaningful narratives!
Great design idea.
I was thinking though, how to clean the glass roof from inside?
Well designed house and a very good, short documentary. :)
Very idealistic design, natural design, friendly nature design, nice one again One Earth more videos of disign houses for the viewers can inspire all. 😍😍😍
brilliant creativity. Wow!!!
REALLY WELL DONE for the spatial relationship & cross ventilation. Bring natural beauty & fit to those who are yoga favorite with Healthy & clean atmosphere.
Wonderfully Maid. Love it
Nice house and awesome design. However, where would the cars be park? since the porch was converted. Just for my own curiosity.
Wonderful design and beautiful 🤩

Looking forward to the video covering that black house !
You guys are the best in class ♥️🔥

Thank you for sharing the video and it is amazing! As I see from here, it is a double storey house originally, is it possible to modify to 3 storeys?
Please give inform about scale of the house in every video. So we can imagine. Thx you
Wow, smart design
Hi there! Could we have an updated video of this shoot in 4k format?
Fantastic architecture. Wished we had such ingenuity with design flare in Singapore instead of the cookie cutter designs we commonly see her
Es tan hermoso vivir bien y tener el lugar que te haga sentir cómodo
I would like you to mention the dimensions of the lot , to get an idea .. Good work
This is so beautiful! This is the type of house i will love to live in!
Wonderful design! If you can share the house dimensions in the video will help us to think whether we can plan such architecture building can be build or not.
Malaysia terrace should all be looking of this style of design cue. I mean the centre of the house is the centre of "life". #locomotiveStudio
I find it really beautiful!
This house has some similar features with the Black&Black house.
Cantiknya!
I like the design of the house, good job 👍
Fantastic designs. Hats off. May I inquire roughly how much was this entire design?

hi Alex! I love this video from you...nice flow of explanation and superb cinematic video. The house subject also mesmerizing, thorough thoughtful on the balance of living and privacy. Kudos to your team
Absolutely remarkable design.. Love it! 👍👍👍

A nice house and the female master find a great chance to show off her perfect middle class life style, her legs and even a well trained dog.
Awesome, brilliant and excellent design 👍
Superb i like #one_earth_design😍

Amazing designs
Looks cool like you went to a 5 star hostel. Just one question, since this house is stored with much sophisticated gadgets like the automatic sun-roofing, do you need a backup generator incase they're no electricity?
Innovative, extraordinary work
Nice design, my questions, where the owner cars parked. Second, dust is always a problem for an open house. How you face it.
is there any provisions for the elevators?
full of characters, great house!
Beautiful! But how do you deal with the mosquitoes and other insects
How much did it cost. Beautiful
splendid...as always...🤩
Can I check how much a house like this would cost in Malaysia?
Does anyone have an idea of how much it would cost to buy and renovate/create one of these terrace homes in Malaysia?
Amazing!!!
hi @Design Seed, i would love to know the cost to build similar house
Unbelievable 🔥
Another great piece of work!!
Wow. Just how much can an artist earn in Malaysia to be able to afford a house like this?
Can review heartpatrick house and the latest white mansion in ampang botanic 🙏😅
Where to buy a copy of the publication?
Waww....luarr biasa.
Super nice! At the end of the vid, there's a mysterious black house along the same street that @Design Seed left it as the next project, I wonder what happened to that - anyone know if it was already covered
Yes it was covered oredi. With a courtyard n other features similar to this too.
This is incredibly wonderful! Cant wait to dig in the next gem!
Superb! I love a house with sunlight n water pool. And I know where this house located😄
Where?
@@GyeBettaFighter Sorry to say i cant disclose as a respect to the owner. Also, it is a gated n guarded area. So we cant just drive in to see it
