Sold my first receiver the other day - a Technics SA-AX7 with Bronze finish, really nice unit. It sold for $199.95 plus shipping. I used your packing advice with the box in a box method and the buyer sent me a message and said that I way over packed the item and they appreciated the level of care. Thank you for the shipping tips! Cheers!
@Rex Erection I think there are videos about it but you need compatible speakers and a way to play music on it, each receiver is different so they can require some rare stuff to test but usually anything with an RCA out will work. Tape player, cd player, even a phone with proper adapters can work.
Pete, last year at a garage sale I picked up a box of those model airplane engines for $50. After selling the entire contents of the box it was about $2k profit. My best find to date. Thanks for the video!
Awesome Video with Stellar information! 50K two months in a row!! Maaaaan Pete, You are My Ebay Role Model! I am on my way to Ebay SUCCESS attempting to follow in Your Footsteps, Good Man. Cheers to You!
Thanks Pete, really enjoy your videos. I really like the vintage electronics you show. I have been building my dream system I couldn't afford when I was a kid but in doing that I get to sell the cast offs for pretty good money. Sometimes I buy and use it for a couple of months and when the novelty wears off I sell it off for someone else to enjoy. Thanks for all you do for the eBay community!
Pete thank you for always providing valuable information. In the last week alone e I have picked up 6 vcrs and multiple audio units. With confidence, based on all the information you keep providing. Time to list them and reap the profits. From slav to slav thank you. You are a great role model.
Pete, thank you for your insight and expertise that you are sharing with all of us! Much appreciated, and I hope and pray that Mr Milo is doing well. Hope to visit your shop the next time I am in Chicago area!
The one thing i like about this sales video is that it proves what i preach is correct, selling a vast variety of stuff is key to being successful in the reselling business specially for those of us that source mainly at yard sales, estate sales and thrift stores. If you have the knowledge and you want to be successful then this is the path you should take when buying and reselling. Learn about different things and build your knowledge around all kinds of stuff not just one niche. Great video Pete
I love watching your videos! I have a ton of stuff from my parents that I am unloading and have been selling on ebay for nearly 25 years! I'm trying to step it up a notch and your videos are really inspiring me. Thanks to your last video I listed my dad's Starret level and sold it for way more than I thought! And I love your accent!
I used to run a website selling radar detectors. Escort and Beltronics were the best brands. I really wouldn't recommend buying any other brand for reselling. I see the other brands at big box stores all the time for $30-50 brand new.
I always learn something new from your videos. I mainly deal in tools as a side hustle because I was a contractor and am a project manager currently. I find it helps to really know what you are selling. RESEARCH! Thank You for all you do. 😀
Thank you Pete for the video. Long time ago you show us Pub stile mirrors and I love them. I sell them all the time, different sizes and shapes. You did expand my knowladge on this subgest and some others. Unfortunately our market here is slow and we dont dont have such great items you picking up in USA((
I just started watching your video. They are very educational. I need to sell a bunch of stuff so I hope to learn enough from you to get ok from doing so. Thank you for the information.
Bolex was the #1 handheld semi-pro camera for a long time. Back when I was studying film, you couldn't find them for less than $500. Nowadays you can buy a digital camera for $100.
I saw one being used on a student film a few days ago. My buddy in the industry still uses them to mount on cars for some shots so as not risk the 35mm.
Working full time , I had become semi stagnet this past year reselling. You have relit my fire and I have sold over half of what I've newly listed since finding your channel. I know a little but ur tips and new info helps me tremendously. I know u hear it all the time but thank you. I really needed a boost and u have done that entertainingly!!! Shopelee @ ebay
Great video as usual. I am just getting back in the game after a few years just in a small way and found I was a little rusty. Gradually getting in the groove and your video of eBay tips reminding me to do up drafts and publish in the evening was on the money. I did a 24 pc Lot of vintage jewelry and it sold before midnight at BIN. Thank you Steve. Your oldest reseller sub, I think! Lol! Doris. (87)
Pete, I had a great flip the other day, bought a Pottery item at an estate sale for 35$ got it home and found out it was a pretty famous person who made it it originally sold new in 84 for 267, I flipped it for 135$ Was trying to get more until it was discovered a small chip that took the value down, but I was happy to make 100$ profit.
Hey Pete, anytime I see a heating and cooling book or anything like that I snatch it up, great profit. Also, love how your mancave is constantly evolving.
this video was great! I have only ever sold shoes from retail stores because thats all I had experience in, I cant wait to test the waters flipping this kind of stuff
I will be on the lookout for these items, great potential... I am at 300 orders per month, trying to double to 600 with $30 gross per sale average. Thanks for sharing your experience! Have a great week! Joe Bee from Canada! How is Milo doing?
you guys should look into sneakers and clothing that drops online, you would be surprised. If you know what you are doing, you can make thousands off of 1 sneaker! There was actually a sneaker release today, they retail for $160 and you can sell them on eBay or a sneaker website for over $2k.
People attacking your numbers are just trying to justify their own poor sales. Anyone buying lots at auction or from ads can do much better percentage wise on the numbers. The Auction Professor says he runs at about 80% profit, ,and I believe him. You see what he picks stuff up for. Yes you paid your picker about 1/3 for the wrenches, but if you had picked those yourself, you would have had a $100+ item for $3 which is insane ROI (but typical of lawnsale and flea market purchases.) People need to spend less time hating, and more time learning what's good and sourcing it (and of course you, Pete, are providing them with that information.) It's that old saying, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink."
Enjoy the videos, thanks! I'm interested in what your profit margins are on that? Obviously you've got the buy price, then Ebay fees, then rent (maybe you own the shop), taxes, etc...
Smells. An ozone generator. Be sure to research reactants of material on item, being ozoned. Also, do not use ozone generator near living beings. BUT, if item with smell, is enclosed WITH an ozone generator, within its space ... 100% smell free, thereafter.
I found that identical barber pole at goodwill for 5 bucks! mine also has a stand at the bottom so it can free stand. Exciting to hear i might be able to pull 130+
Hey Pete what do use or what do you do to track your profits on eBay? I've found this to be tricky when I have to add in COG, shipping cost, cost of shipping supplies, etc.
I just bought 5 mounted Butterfly taxidermy units with 9-12 butterflies in each wood mounted frame with names under each one.. I paid $50 for the lot and was hoping to get $50 for each piece.. I put it on 7 day ebay auction.. 15 views not getting the attention I wanted.. this may be one of those I have to wait a little to make some money.. any experience with that stuff? I bought it after I saw how much you made on those gun bullets of different calibers.. ALWAYS keeping my eye open to make a buck.. thanks for your vids.. keep em coming..
Hey Pete, Are you using the eBay payout payments? I signed up and I feel like they screwed me. Haven’t had a payout for 4-5 days worth of items, they owe me $600 and even when they payout it will take 3-4 days to it my bank. I just signed up and you can’t change back to just PayPal, even after talking to eBay twice. If anyone else got an email to sign up for eBays payment system, beware.
List things around your house you no longer use for less than anyone else has them listed so you can get some sells and feedback quickly. Just don't list stuff that doesn't have a lot of recent sales as you are limited to 10 items so you don't want to be waiting a month or more for a sale so you can list another item. Once you start making consistent sales and getting feedback your selling limit will be increased.
Go back and watch as many of Pete's videos as you can. I've been at this for many years and I still learn a lot from Pete. What a great tool to have at your disposal. There was no UA-cam when I started. Show you're committed to good service and ebay will upgrade you. You'll have to call them. The costs and fees are painful. They always will be. You need to up your game and stay at it to get over the hump. It's not the easy ride so many fakes on YT make it out to be.
How does Pete overlay the screen shots within this video? Take separate screen caps of each item, then paste them as overlays within the video after it's shot? What video software? Thanks, great stuff as always!
how do you figure out how much shipping will be? and do you think things sell faster if you just add the shipping to the price and call it free shipping?
From Description: "Your sales don't have to be slow in summer just have to find the wright stuff. " These videos from mid 2019 are interesting to think 1 year later business being slow would be an understatement...

What I like most about you is that it's so obvious that you're a good person, and still (or because of it) you're a great trader.
Pete, last year at a garage sale I picked up a box of those model airplane engines for $50. After selling the entire contents of the box it was about $2k profit. My best find to date. Thanks for the video!
Thank you so much again, Peet! Most of the resale success I've had has come from watching your videos.

I sold that same boston acoustics clock radio in black. It got bid up to $115. They have great sound!
@Rex Erection Recepter. Went back to my listing it was actually a darker gray. Its the same model that pete has.
Yes, they have awesome, human like sound. I would say better than Bose.
What can I say Pete , your a great teacher an a class act . Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us . Cheers !
Pete, thank you for your insight and expertise that you are sharing with all of us! Much appreciated, and I hope and pray that Mr Milo is doing well. Hope to visit your shop the next time I am in Chicago area!
Who would give this a thumbs down? Thanks for all your knowledge you have helped me tremendously over the years.
The other resalers that you watch on youtube going to the same store and trying to sign you up for the premium package.

Heater makes noises as you mention the tech book. I hope that's just a coincidence.

Generic Clones what’s your Bread and butter in terms of finding items?

Dam-Ian P You’re welcome! I hate it so far and figured I’d save some people some headache if they were on the fence.
Hi,,, just subscribed and rang the bell, Wade Ventures mentioned you on his channel.
Does anybody have any tips for eBay reselling?? I just started and I’m only able to post 10 things a month and the fees are ridiculous! Any tips??

@@kevcatnip7589 I say great photos with every angle and all defects close up. Unless you don't mind returns or negs. It's worth the 2 minutes.

Hi Pete, great video. How is the good til cancelled thing going? Any thoughts on overcoming that issue?
Great video on items you sold.Do you get a lot of returns and what's your return policy? What company do you buy your new products from?
Another great video as always thanks for sharing ❤️ 👍
Pete you're a legend and I love your videos
Would love to see how much you actually profit and what your overhead costs are. Nice video as always

Thank you for sharing all that knowledge!
Hey Pete, did you list the trumpet as "as is condition" or did you make sure it was working. Would you invest in having it restored ?
