Thank you for explaining about the 1/4 tank issue, i been scouring the explanation on myIS seem like forever
Thank You for this video, I just finished the fuel return on my IS300 and the video was very helpful! The only thing I was not sure about and was not mentioned in this video was a plastic washer that sits above the rubber seal of the OEM pump. The plastic clip that holds the rubber seal in place is clear, just transfer it over from the OEM pump. But there is another tiny one on top of the rubber seal. This one I removed since the DW pump seems to have a bit larger output tip and it did not seem to fit well with the DW pump. So far the fuel pressure is all good. It could also be that some OEM pumps had this and some did not or it could be wedged inside the case instead of the tip of the pump.
Glad to hear you got it up and running! To be completely honest what you did with the plastic clip is probably right. I can’t remember and if it was a big deal, I’m sure I would have mentioned it.
Time for boost now?
@@Knownworldwide Yeah, will get wrenching next week,. Just need to get the yearly state inspection done before - they wont like the snail under the bonnet lol.
Nice video! Good timing as I'm planning my own fuel return install. What SKU Deatschwerks pump did you purchase? 1.) SKU 9-301, 2.) SKU 9-301-1000, 3.) SKU 9-307-1000, 4.) SKU 9-309-1000. Keep the videos coming!
You know what. I would have to try and see if I have my receipt somewhere. There isn’t a specific pump for our car since they are universal. From what I can see barely in the video is the 301-1000 number on the box.
@@carsanalyzed3526 I definitely have been.
Thank you for doing this!! This was very helpful to watch!! You've earned my subscription :)
Happy to help out. Thanks again for watching and for the sub.
Great video , very informative
Appreciate that bro! Thanks for watching!
Where'd you get the an6 fitting for the fuel return line from? Could you please provide a link to that. I can't seem to find one of that style with a locking nut to secure it into place.
@@BrodyCormier if you search an6 bulkhead fitting on amazon, there should be a few choices that pop up. Sorry I don’t have a link to the exact piece. I think it was made by evil energy.
@@KnownworldwideAwesome. I ended up finding one last night on summit racing. Now I’m trying to find the fitting you used on your pcv valve for your oil catch can setup. I can’t seem to find ones that go from m16x1.5 to a 90 degree with a 3/8 barb 🤦♂️
@@BrodyCormier tbh I went to a local hardware store (think Home Depot) and found one. I am positive that the one I use in my video is NOT the right threads but very close so I just sent it.
Definitely helped.
1 question what's with the stock FPR, you have to close off the one end but why is it needed still? I didn't see you hook anything back up to it. Just curious as I'm looking to do this soon.
If you don’t place it back into the hanger, you will have a fuel leak. The siphon/jet valve won’t work correctly.
You don’t hook it back up to anything. It’s literally just there to be a “placeholder.” It needs to stay there to allow the siphon valve to work correctly. If you go onto my next video, I show how to install the external FPR. In case you needed help with that.
@@Knownworldwide hell yea thanks man 🤘
@@MidwestMechanic of course. Any other questions, just ask bro. I will try my best to answer them for you.
@@Knownworldwide thanks videos have been helpful so far 🤘
Will all this work with the gs300 too
Yes it sure does! Thanks for checking out the video!

Thanks for watching!
Hello I have done this and I am dropping pressure under load
Are you using an external fuel pressure regulator? What fuel pump? What injectors? How much power you making?
Hello yes I'm using external pressure regulator and I'm using 1000 cc injectors. I'm using 255 walbro. And when I rev the car or under load the fuel pressure on regulator goes down. Acceleration is bad and at 10 psi it falls flat dangerously lean. Please help what to check
@@OmarKabbara-fg8zz Did you weld shut the factory fuel pressure regulator?
@@Knownworldwide yes I sealed it shut
What is your base fuel pressure?
Not that it matters. But I’m pretty sure it’s called “deesh works” lol
It probably is, I honestly have no clue. I just went with it lol.
