@Kathryn Grant Abernethy ah, we also had two (sisters) for a while until we decided that they could use more action in their lives so we got a little tomcat. Now he tries to jump-scare the ladies all day long and they are super annoyed at him all the time.
Nice, I would love to see the result! Cheaper chisels and tools often don‘t come properly sharpened, so this might be something you may want to look into. I still haven‘t gotten around to making a dedicated sharpening video but there are a lot already out here and sharp tools are generally safer and - most notably - more fun to use! Good luck with the project!
That was so enjoyable to watch! Absolutely love the video and the box! Only problem is, we just moved countries and all our tools are in container storage, so now I either have to wait to get to them or buy new so I can make one myself lol... not like I need another paint box... wait who am I kidding - you can never have too many paint boxes! Especially DIY ones!
What a lovely palette! I love that you only used pretty basic tools, it really shows how doable woodworking can be even without, like, heavy machinery :P
Not really sure what type of wood that was, because it had been lying in the scrapwood box for a long time … But beeng as dark as it is, it might be something like walnut. That‘s at least what I would look for. As you only need a small piece you should find some nice leftover pieces on ebay quite cheap. PS: I would love to see a picture of your project once your done!
Just posted a little Urban Sketching Video where you can see this little palette in action: ua-cam.com/video/a44jLEOnLGg/v-deo.html ✌️
I like the cozy vibes your videos have. And the palette turned out sooo cute!
A thing of beauty! Thank you!
painting, woodworking , leatherwork and beautiful cats? If you decide to come to the US we'd host ya any day :) Nice work!!
haha, thank you. I'd love to take you at your word someday. but the cats will probably not be able to come ✌️

Thank you. Because of your video I got four carving tools from the dollar tree and feel that I could do this.

Why dont you use magnets
Do you mean instead of the leather 'hinges'? I used magnets for the closing flap ...
I think I felt in love with u just watching this video
aww, wait until you see the next one ...
What wood do you make it out of? And where can I get it?
