Hello Christiaan! Thank you so much for this marvelous new! Bless you both!!!!!
I'm making this donation with a great pleasure and hope to see more of Jimmy Rosenberg playing and his great smile.
Respect to jimmy the king of swing and chris h your playing is allso really cool i think jimmy your playing is on fire i cant wait to hear the album and many more further most more videos of jimmy the better he needs to be seen more the best.
What an absolutely beautiful video ! God bless Jimmy. He is incredible. May he heal. God bless Christiaan for all the work he is doing for us aspring jazz manouche musicians.
Welcome back Jimmy!!!!...always a pleasure to hear you play..Loves and Best wishes to you !!
Thank you . so happy to see and hear Jimmy back .
So great to see my favorite gypsy guitarist back and playing. He's simply the greatest. If it's possible to wear out a CD, I might have done so with his CD collaborating with Andreas Oberg. Best of luck to Jimmy Rosenberg.
Jimmy sounds fantastic, what a voice on the guitar. Thanks Christiaan!
So nice to see Jimmy now in a relaxed way, love it! Jimmy played better instruments, but you can hear he beats the devil out of this thing!- whish i can make the same on my Mauro Freschi...Tanks for this great video👍
Thank you for that. Jimmy is such a great player !!!
Congratulations , this does honor to you. ♥️
Thank you!
Nicely hosted, Christiaan... Jimmy: amazing :)
The king is back!! I never thought I would see this!!
Me neither but I'm happy I did!
do you who the king is ? Joscho Stephan damn it!! he would kill Jimmy in a minute
Fontomia the king is whoever you want it to be, don’t be a wet towel.
@@danluffs2757 @Dan luffs no the king is whoever plays better , don't be so impressible
@@Fontomia you just proved your ignorance about this style of music....Good job
Great to see you back and well Jimmy!
That was fantastic!!!!!! Thank you!
Awesome!! Welcome back 😍
Goosebumps. Hi Jimmy.
My daughter and I were just talking about Jimmy Rosenberg. She really was taken by the documentary about him. Glad the "in the style of" and the album is happening. Also like this recognition of the Altamira guitars. They're really top notch guitars at a very good price. I just purchased a used 2017 M01D 12-fret. Solid!
Great to see Jimi back and I urge people to read the link posted at Django books
This is great, so good to see (and hear) Jimmy play again.
so glad you are back jimmy , i missed you ....love your playing
Backed the campaign! Awesome to support a new Jimmy CD.
If I could hit the like button like 1000 times.
Make it 1001 and do it! As long as it's an uneven it's all good!
Wow! Jimmy Rosenberg is back. Videos like this: Should I practice some more or sell all my stuff? More practice!
Yeah jimmy
Jimmy!!!😁❤
Jimmy´s vibrato is unbelievable
No doubt!
you clearly didn't listen to Joscho Stephan's vibrato
@@Fontomia I didn´t know that Joscho had groupies... great for him!
I still prefer Jimmy´s sound really.
@@matiaspastorini4041 not groupies, just someone who notices the tiniest details in a music work
Just damn amazing!
❤️
Your videos are excellent and I love learning from you!
Thanks Brice!
Incredible.
Another great one by Jimmy. I think you've set a standard others still follow.
wow, thanks , the real thing!
Geweldig !
Good to see/hear!
Thanks!
You are both such soulful players
Thanks a lot Carlos!
Great playing and greetings to Jimmy im so happy he is back :)
Thanks!
Jimmys vibrato is off the scale
Yes, one of his trademarks!
yeah, Stochelo and Jimmy sometimes sound like they playing violin ,
I was just going to comment...at 2:12, it looks like his string is made out of chewing gum! Thanks for posting this video and best wishes to Jimmy and Dennis on their upcoming project.
Geweldig !! maar doe rustig aan met Jimmy...
bravo!
Jimmy is Back !
wow!
Woooooow
Jimmy!
Awesome solos and playing!! Which kind of pick does use Jimmy? Dunlop Jazz lll? Wegen?
He uses a Tommy Davy Djangoguitars.com pick!
Cool! That's a "milk stone" pick, right?
Galalith I think but maybe that's the same thing.
Also lookin and sounding sharp
Jimmy pushes so hard lol
👍👍🔥
Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuuuuuuuuuuuu. Jimmy!!! My Dream came true.
First comment, didn't click on the thumbnail!
You win the internet for today!
why he is looked tired, am I wrong?
They spend hours in traffic to get to my house. Very unfortunate!
At the end of the video he says, he didn't have a guitar for three years, and i think it can be heard in his playing. Stiff and lacking lightness. As much as i would have liked his sound to be better.
Jimmy, wishing you good health and all the best!
Of this is stiff... I would love tohear your guitar playing.
Cliche City. Really sad.
Most ridiculous comment on UA-cam today. 🤦🏼♂️
@@jasonbrodie4827 No, that honor goes to you.
Anyone interested in Manouche welcomes a Jimmy. He has one thing we all want: his health. If there can be a tomorrow with music, that is a bonus. So welcome to hear this. He will always be able to play and entertain. Most importantly, we want him to be happy.
Very human, brotherly message to an artist.
I love Jimmy's soul, and his playing!
Can't agree more!
Always knew he would be back, music is the healing medicine. Bless you for supporting his wonderful talent.
Thanks Marius!
Are you aware that you share an almost identical name with an eminent historian of Japan? Lol. And yes, I totally agree - so glad he’s back, and major kudos to Christiaan and Dennis etc. for supporting him!
@@j_mac_2470 I was not aware of that no lol, I'll look him up. Ironically you share the same initials and surname as a half Japanese musician friend of mine Jondi Mac, check him out. Freaky!
Yes!!!
Great to hear Jimmy is back, I am looking forward to the CD.
Me too!
His Majesty of Gypsy Swing is back on track! Go, Jimmy, go!
Holy shit..that second round of Jimmy's impro is one of the best I've seen.
That was my reaction too.. Glad he's back. Hopefully he'll make his comeback one beautiful day!
It was like: ok, i got mad. Take this. :D can't Wait to see him after a few months when He gets completely back to shape. I am So happy to se my hero back.
Still amazes me how you've mastered the guitar in such a short time! Awesome playing from the both of you
Thanks man! Practicing 4-6 hours a day for the past 7 years did the trick ;)
@@ChristiaanvanHemert still is amazing even practicing 10 hours a day in that amount of time!
@Javier Thanks, my channel is all about how I did it. If someone would follow the same methods (which are really shortcuts) they would probably reach a similar level. The sad thing is that many guitar players get lost in learning none essential stuff like scales, modes and arpeggios. Those things won't benefit playing jazz improv directly so it's almost a waste of valuable time.
@@ChristiaanvanHemert thank you very much, I will start from video n1. I am starting with jazz and was practicing arpeggios so ill try your method and will get back to you in 5 years
@@ChristiaanvanHemert So Scales And arpeggios arent.important for. You?
Legendary. Thanks so much for bringing this amazing content to UA-cam.
You're very welcome Alexander. Much more to come!
Yeah, Jimmy!!! Still waiting for more from you! Always enjoy whatever you do!!!
Jimmy Be Strong and play beautifull music like Django. Be Strong Brother you are amazing artist Jimmy!!!
Wish you the best!!!
Man Jimmy still sounds incredible even after all that time away. And Christiaan you ain't too bad either :) Thanks so much Denis, Christiaan, and Tommy for making this happen!!
Jimmy 👍👏🔥 Respect from Russia 🇷🇺
Christiaan is such a solid, musical player. His comping and soloing are equally enjoyable.
Yes and he is a a fervent ambassador of the gipsy guitar style!
Es un guitarrista sobrenatural Jimmy !!
Hacía tiempo que no veía sus videos!!
And now STAY OFF THE DRUGGS
Onze beste vriend(in) is... "de gitaar". Vanaf onze jeugd kent die ons het beste en in ons samenspel kunnen wij al onze emoties kwijt... dat gevoel is bij jullie altijd hoorbaar als jullie spelen. Maar dat maakt jullie ook "heeeeeeeel ver boven gemiddeld niveau". Dank voor de mooie muziek! Dennis
Thank you for posting this Christiaan! So happy to see this genius playing again :)) Wishing Jimmy peace and continued success in his recovery and playing.
You're welcome Andy, it was my honor hosting Jimmy for this video!
Jimmy Rosenberg bridged the gap between gypsy jazz and rock/metal guitar. Make not mistake about it - the Birdland Django fest. live album from 2001 featuring Jimmy and his no holds barred, pyrotechnic wizardry on the fretboard converted a slew of rockers into lifelong gypsy jazz fans.
It’s great that you managed to produce a video with Jimi. Thanks god working with Jimi is usually easy and hastlefree 😅❤👍😎
Love the improvising on Melancholy Baby......gonna transcribe em now!!!!!
soooo COOOOL!!!
Go Jimmy!
As a metal head, i would also love to see what would happen if he would jam on a metal axe.
So happy to see Jimmy again, He is an incredible talent and we are lucky to get a chance to hear him. Looking forward to more in the years to come.
Nice
If I could at least play a vibrato like his, I would be proud of myself
Haha, I know what you mean. It's even more breathtaking live right in front of you!
If I could at least put two phases together like he does
Yeaaahhhh!
Christiaan, have you made a play along for My Melancholy Baby?
He still is a virtuoso. But he didn't have a guitar for three years? Why that?
Jimmy Rosenberg always had an unfaire advantage: He´s a pro-digy.
What an absolute joy to see and hear Jimmy again.
4:18 to 4:42
Excellent!!! Thx Christian and Jimmy. Jimmy is INCREDIBLE. I mean the guy was unbelievable as a child. He was truly given a gift.
Practice, practice, practice. 'god(s) can't play like Jimmy. Jimmy is real, god(s)...........?!???
@@j.r.arnolli9734 you're right about god.
Dont give up Jimmy...long live the King.
wow! brilliant playing Jimmy
Something seems to be missing....
Oh. My. God.
Indeed!
Genius.
omg jimmy's bends ...
great to see Jimmy is playing again
I was born 1980 too.. but why Jimmy looks already 50+yo..
Btw i love his style of gypsy jazz
Because he went true hell and is (probably) put on heavy medication that help him to survive but they come at a cost.
@@Powerslider i saw his documentary movie..
" the father, the son, and the talent (2007)"
He was addicted to drugs..
Thank God he is ok now
Beautiful guitar music!
Great!!!! Christiaan, it was nice how Jimmie looked to you full of interest, respect! You are one of them!!! Congratulations!!!!!!! so this Jimmy Woaw what a Champ!!!!!!
Genieten ❤️
Porca puttana! Me lo ero perso!
THAT is the best right hand i have ever seen! yeaooowww! roll on, JIMMY! judgement has never been, and should never be, applied here. love ya, man!
