I recently read 3 cowboy romance books. Hold the reins by paisley hope, and the runaway ranch series book 1 and 2 by Ava hunter. I recommend all they were really good. :)
YES!!! Major age gaps are so very popular right now, and they give me the ick. Perhaps if I were in my 20s, it would seem wonderful, swoony and romantic. But as a 44yo married woman, they instead feel uncomfortable. My hubs and his friends are all in their 40s, and if one of them showed up at a get-together with a 22yo, I’d need to have a chat with him. 22 is still so young! I was an idiot at 22 haha It just feels groomer-y. With that much of an age gap, the more mature partner just holds so much more power in terms of experience, maturity and resources. The balance would be so off. I can’t help it, but it always takes me out of the romance.

I loved Elsie Silver's Gold Rush Ranch series BUT I would argue that series isn't Cowboy romance. The only others I can think of are some of Devney Perry's such as Indigo Ridge and Wild Highway both of which I enjoyed 😊
@jennifertaylor8887 yes I'd agree Gold Rush isn't cowboy romances! They're thoroughbred racing based!

The huge age gap in the Brooke Montgomery was too much for me. I liked it okay when I forgot how far apart they were in age but every time I was reminded, nope!
I also read Done and Dusted recently and I liked it!
I have only read Elsie Silver's books from the list. I haven't read her two newest. I did not enjoy Powerless earlier this year so I am nervous to read them.
Powerless was one I also didn't enjoy at all. I only liked Flawless and Heartless in that series
