Fantastic recommendations! I love that you don't talk about what everyone else is talking about. So thank you for that! Rope has made it onto my October watch list for sure!
Hello! And thank you for another awesome video! I will definitely be watching the movie recommendations! I enjoyed Mermaids, mostly to see my all time favorite, Michael Schoeffling aka Jake Ryan!!! 😍
Columbo is one of my all-time favorite shows! It's super comforting. I also have loved National Velvet since I was very young. One time I was gifted a play figurine horse and I named it "Pie" 😜 I never really thought of Cheers has a fall show, but all that flannel certainly does something. Diane Chambers forever! Great video again ♥️
Hi, Julia! I'm so thankful for this being in my recs as this was so refreshing! I don't think I've heard people in the book/film/overall media spheres I watch/am a part of mention most of these movies and shows! nothing new to me, personally, but very pleasantly surprised that this wasn't just some of the same titles talked about consistently or often in recent years, even if I still enjoy and watch those videos, too. I love Mermaids! I find it quite rewatchable- though, I also have mixed feelings on it overall. I actually got the book it's based on last year when I rewatched it. I plan on reading it and watching the movie yet again in November! Friday Night Lights is one of my fav shows! you had me with the films, shows, and books... but baking! I also love baking!
You added "Arsenic and Old Lace" to your list! Big Yes! Also, while I enjoyed Hitchcock's "Rope", "Rear Window" would be my choice to see during this time. I love Grace Kelly and I loved her and of course Jimmy Stewart in this movie. I've decided to give Taylor Swift a try and will use your suggestions to start The Swift Journey. Great video!
As a fairly recent fan myself, I highly recommend starting out with Folklore and/or Evermore, her more "indie" albums, both of which are great for this time of year.
@@americanagirl @lunasol1388 I need to watch Rope; I think that one has escaped me. I always associate Rear Window with summer. I actually saw it in the theater last month. It was fantastic.
Fall is my favorite. Great video, and those are great films! Our lists have a lot of overlap :) Rope is underrated. The Trouble with Harry is another underrated Hitchcock with tons of beautiful Vermont foliage and humor! The Big Chill and Far From Heaven are two other go to fall watches for me. Evermore is my favorite Taylor Swift album year round, haha, so this time of year is just very convenient for me :)
I love these recommendations, especially since for my favorite season I also always gravitate to older media. It's got to have something to do with the nostalgia Fall inspires; that's my theory anyway.
Columbo makes me smile every time he says, 'just one more thing.' Such a great character 🙂
Fantastic recommendations! I love that you don't talk about what everyone else is talking about. So thank you for that! Rope has made it onto my October watch list for sure!
I am adoring all the movie recs! Great options some I know and others are new to me. Love Jimmy Stewart and Cary Grant! 💛🍂
You don't see videos like yours very often these days

I feel like I got so many great recs out of this, thank you! ❤
i almost screamed when i saw national velvet. i LOVED that movie as a kid and it fueled my horsegirl phase in preschool.
Just discovered your channel. Love your innocent & simple vibe ❤

@@kimmothy69 Ah, ok! Thanks for the suggestions!
I do love Rear Window as well, Grace Kelly wears some great outfits.

I’m too intimidated by true Apple cider donuts but I really want to make Apple cider donut loaf cake this fall!
Ooh that sounds delicious. I love a baking challenge (it usually ends up a disaster).
@@americanagirl I'm going to attempt apple cider donuts this year, too! I don't believe I have ever made a donut? Should be interesting.

I agree fall is the most nostalgic season! I’m not sure why…but it’s definitely a big part of why I love it!
You really need more subs.
Thanks for reminding the audience the oversized influence Harvey Weinstein had in Hollywood back in the 90s. For what's worth, he gave us LOTR 🤤
So happy i stumbled upon you Julia! Love your cosy autumnal recommendations🍁 what's your letterboxd account i have to follow you for more film faves💞🎀
