I loooooved Quicksilver. It's one of my favorites of the year. But I totally agree with what you mentioned about the writing... I'm still wondering how a mouth can sweat 😂
THE ROMANTASY COLORING BOOK DANIELA LIBERONA AN ADULT COLORING BOOK Featuring 24 Gorgeous Romance & Fantasy-Themed Illustrations Saw a romantasy coloring book at BAM today and thought of you 😊!
It's all just a matter of personal taste. I made sure in the video to mention I don't think she's a poorly written character at all. Just not my taste.
I’m not surprised to hear about poor editing in Quicksilver. I’m still reading it, but I’ve noticed poor editing in other Callie Hart books. In the Raleigh Rebels trilogy, I realized a side character, I believe a cop or something, is female (or male I forgot what came first) in the first book or two, and that character with the same name and everything swapped genders in the last book. It confused me so badly! And I only learned this because I read an interconnect series where that same cop character is in. But also loads of typos and general bad editing in Callie’s books. I do love her plots though. I feel like the are very gripping. Oh and another thing in regards to Quicksilver, I still haven’t made it past the 30% mark so it’s interesting hearing you say that was the roughest part of this book. I still plan to finish it, I just think I’m not in a huge fantasy mood right now so haven’t been prioritizing it.
I haven't read Quicksilver but I wonder if it gets picked up by a trad publisher, they will smooth out those edits. ETA I posted that comment before you said the same thing
🐞I'm 100 pages out from finishing When The Moon Hatched 😮😬🤓 pending that this is likely my best book of year!!!!! Love this story, the writing the world.....just everything!
@@crystalsbookishlife it's on pace for 6 stars from me. I just finished TOG reread and after Kingdom of Ash I thought I'd have a book hangover.....this met the task 💗
You're not the only one who feels romantasy writing is very poor. I feel after paying more for these indie books but I am always left deflated by the content.

I agree with you about the editing of lots of romantasy books that I have read. It needs to improve.

Hi Crystal! Edgedancer is not my fav. On my reread of this series I skipped over this novella lol I'm adding House of Bane & Blood to my TBR 🐞
