I have never been into reading historical romances but I gave it a try based on your recs. You set me on a new path! Just got done with Again the Magic and loved it! Now I'm halfway through Wicked and the Wallflower. Thank you! 💗
I need to read historical romance again! Once I am in I love it! I just need to pick something up. Lovely recs! Have read a few of this but mostly not so to my TBR they go! 🩷
💘 I have had a long hiatus from reading historical romances, but am happy to say that because of you that is over. My Darling Duke by Stacy Reid is my favorite so far this year.💘
Crystal, I'm eternally grateful to you for introducing me to Sarah MacLean. I stumbled upon your video where you talk about your favorite historical romance authors and alongside Lisa Kleypas (whom I ADORE❤) you mentioned Sarah MacLean and her "Wicked and the Wallflower". I just finished it yesterday and it was everything I wanted and so much more! Thank you for such a great recommendation! ❤ I'm giddy just thinking about all her other books I'm going to discover. My favorite historical read this year is one of Cat Sebastian’s Mid Century Romances, You Should Be So Lucky. It two miserable people finding their way to happiness by making the other happy. I love it!
I've only read 5 historicals this year! How is that possible?!? I've read two from Kate Bateman, and I love all her books, but I particularly enjoyed another of your favorites called "Heart in the Highlands" by Heidi Kimball. The heroine was so incredibly strong and the romance was earned and swoony. Loved it. 💖
Adjacent But Only Just is one of my favorite reads of the year too! I loved the asthma rep with the heroine, I related so much to her when she’d have a flare-up with her anxiety, I don’t think I’ve ever read about an MC with both of those reps and really appreciated how well Nichole Van wrote about a character having both. My other favorite historical from this year was When The Earl Met His Match by Stacy Reid💗
Thanks for the video. My absolute favourite author is Loretta Chase. My absolute favourite book of hers is "Dukes Prefer Blondes." I have reread that book many times. The only thing stopping me from re-reading now is I am scared of losing that magic, as I can almost memorise every sentence and risk tarnishing the magic. 💓💞💕💗 I have yet to start Lords of Scoundrel as I worry about where to set my expectations of this classic romance which everyone raved about.
Julie Anne Long is my auto buy author. I love her that much! And her historical romances are so sweepingly romantic, sexy yet very tender, and great wit. I love JAL so much! ❤

I wish I could describe the way books make me feel like you do. My last 5 star historical romance was Forever Your Rogue on your recommendation.
Outlander series has been years of historical fiction and romance too. On book 9. They are huge books but beautifully written.
Thank you Crystal !!
Always love your historical romance recs!! 💕

I am loving Nichole Van this year too. I loved seeing Ethan get his HEA in One Kiss Alone. 💗

The last Lisa Kleypas that I've read wasn't so good (Suddenly You; I fully loathed it!) so I cooled down on her. What are your top-5 from her?
