New subscriber here, and new artist as well. Love your artwork, and I really appreciate the detail you go into in your videos which is a big help to a beginner like me. I know that it must be a tremendous amount of work to consistently produce videos of this length and detail, but we beginners truly appreciate it! Looking forward to seeing much more of your content, and watching your channel grow! ☺
Welcome aboard! Thank you for your kind compliments. I appreciate you noticing the effort it may take for these, and you're absolutely correct! It does take me quite a bit of time to prepare to record, actually paint with instruction, and then sit down to edit, and basically blog about my art. All of this is new to me. I never knew how to or wanted to learn how to edit videos, but when I wanted to learn how to paint, I found unlimited resources on UA-cam. I wanted to pay it back to the World Wide Web, what I was able to gain from my painting journey. Freedom. Freedom to express my inner thoughts, passions or fears, freedom to create whatever I wanted, and the freedom to choose my path. I hope you continue to choose to watch me paint. I am grateful to you for being here with me.
@@KayleeRakowskiArt Well, if your intent is to pay it forward here, you're doing a great job of it, especially given the amount of effort you're pouring into this. I truly wish you the best of luck and much success here!😊
Thank you, Alice. It's safe to assume that almost every tutorial here is on 18x24. I will absolutely let everyone know if I use something different! I will also try to mention it during the video, I'm sure that will help :)
Hi! I do not varnish my paintings. I like the look of some being matte and some being glossy, once you practice you can even plan it! So I have chosen not to varnish mine. Because I use the liquid white, the paints dry pretty well, usually within a few weeks they are able to be transported safely. You can choose to frame it then, but leave off the glass so it will be able to continue drying for the next few years
Another great painting! Where does the idea of a specific painting comes to mind? Is it what you see outside? Or is it just your imagination running away with you (sorry about that - can't resist throwing in a song lyric). Have you done any winter scenes?
Hey Noah thanks for the comment! Actually the majority of my inspiration comes from places I have either been and wish to go back to OR places I wish I could go that are entirely new to me. When I began painting 4ish years ago, I was unable to walk, cook, or move much for that matter. I found solace in watching people paint online and I figured, why not try to kill some time. I watched Bob and Bill speak about imagination and creation. They believed in the simplicity of creating art from the heart and I truly resonated with this. They kept saying "anyone can do this" so I gave in and tried. After picking up my first paint brushes I couldn't put them down. I was able to truly travel to a completely serene and beautiful place right there on the canvas. This is how I healed. I continue to use painting as a way to travel in my mind and release tension. I spend a lot of time outside, observing and you start to see life different. I take photos in my mind and recreate those feelings on canvas. Sometimes I have photos, sometimes sketches, sometimes nothing but a mood. I hope this rambly nonsense makes some sense... thanks for the question :)
Just waiting for someone to notice the natural framing 💛 ... anyone????
Really fantastic, the new version of Bob Ross panting. Thank you so much for sharing.🌸

I like the colors of the clouds and sky very much in this painting .
Thanks! It's a really fun combo, I think these colors would work really well for a seascape too.

Здравствуйте, картина получилась очень красивая и яркая!У меня вопрос покрываете ли Вы её лаком, когда она высохнет и каким ?

Oh and yes! I do from time to time paint winter scenes. I'll add one to the list for us here :)
