    Super valuable. One minor point, you refer to 3ds Max Layers as groups. 3ds Max has groups as well as layers but they work very differently. I use layers in the same way you demonstrate. I rarely use 3ds Max groups but they serve a very different purpose.

    You know you can set 3dS in where is says: ALL.... It's a pull down menu... You can tell max to select bones only or helpers, etc....

    what couldve possibly happened if I dont see any movements in the rig, i've seen them before and all the bones are connected to the skin modifier, the armature is moving but not the body, and I am also in the animation layer, but since I went out of animation layer to reposition the eyebrows it doesnt work anymore

    Can we use morpher modifier instead of cat bone to head ? If yes then how use it ? And Which is easy use to head a cat bone or morpher modifier?

    i really like how CAT works but the skinning weight is a little bit old tech and not accurate enough

    Hi Milos, I keep getting this issue where my Rig's knee pops when I go into Animation Mode. I am not sure if I did something wrong or perhaps missed a crucial step. Do you perhaps know how I can fix this? Please help.

    Is it possible that I toggled something that stops the mesh from being deformed by the rig? It was working fine yesterday! I was about to start animating and now the bones are not affecting the mesh at all. If I click on Edit Envelopes all the vertices are showing the colours. The red vertices are not following the bones at all.

      Hi, its probably far too late to answer now, but in your skin modifier, check Advanced Parameters rollout and see if you unchecked the Always Deform option, if its off, turn it on.
      Hope it helps!

      @@TheGimilkhad lol! Thanks but yes, I ended up starting over. I'm pretty sure Always Deform was checked but whatever.
